  1. Talk about leaving models behind I didn't do that but way back int he 70's I couldn't get to a model display at a South Australian northern country town's "ag day" so along with a couple of other model truck builders we put our trust in the club secratary to take them up there and bring 'e home well to say the least none of us ever saw our models again I lost 7 in all but the other lost nearer a dozen each, a report to the cops got a reply of "well they're only toys, why worry" that wasn't the main problem he "the club secratary" also took of with the club funds needless to sat the model truck clun folded. 2. Man that's great and makes my cardstock model look crappy, I'd love to be able to do stuff like that, well done Doug. Dingo
  3. This is now being built as a hotrod complete with hi-rise sleeper, supercharged V8, forward tilt hood instead of the norm and a few extras that I haven't thought of as yet. Dingo
  4. I wouldn't call an F100 or a Chev C100 or anything like these as a truck, but then that's me I'm an Aussie who calls a truck somehting that's 3 tonne up I don't even call 4x4's trucks but I know the 4wd mob do so I'll leave it at that. Dingo
  5. Visio93 no that's not the motor for the Dodge Charger it is still waiting for the motor to be done as for this Motorhome project it will be quite a while before anyone will see it start going ahad as I have said my wife is still ill ( migraine suffer) and those headaches wo't break untillate May or early june mostly late May BUT when it gets going it will be built to a set position before the roof goes on (which will be removalable) so the interior can be seen with all the furniture if U can all undestand wot I mean there????. Sorry this has come to a standstill but I just had to show all that I na have the whole project and it's ready to go ahead when the little lady gets well . Dingo
  6. Foxer they don't fit my shelves either I have all my trucks in their boxes at the moment only half finished this one will be headed the same way for awhile I only started it to see what it would look like and man all I can say is holy ######, wow what a monster, the following photos will show all what this is going to be at the end a motorhome hauling a trailer. Oh and by the way Fozer yea I know what u mean by not taking things serious I didn't I was just saying that our equipment down here is much bigger than in the States or even Europe we don't have rules covering lenght or other sizes except twhen it come to raodtrains they can't come below a set line which is just outside of most city. In my home town we have a suburb just north of the city, well it is about 7 kays north of the CBD and that's how close the big roadtrains get, we have interstae coaches towing trailers come into town and all. The body is held together with magic tape for the photo shoot. Dingo
  7. Foxer size is not a problem here in Oz we run 48 & 50 footers in stabdard coaches plus I've seen semi-trialer set-ups as motorhomes as well, It is going to be a huge and hard project to do but at least I'm prepared to take up the challenge not like spme who say and don't do (not that I'm saying anyone here does that) this project is planned to take a year to do as I have to buy furniture from the U.S. & Europe and with the Aussie dollar being so low at the moment this will take that long, an Australian pension is not a great amount but I'll get there. Motor but needs wiring Overhead shot of floor with passenger seat positions Overhead shot of floor with false flat floor in position, drivers position is temporary and not glued in. Dingo
  8. AFter opening my Revell Neoplan Cityliner kit I got out the intructions ans a piece of paper fell out, after looking at what it had to say I found a point in it where we are according to these instructions breaking one of the rules they set out and that is and I quote, " Do not use any equipment which has not been supplied with the set or recommended in the instructions for use" half the gear we use is not in the instructions so does that mean we are all putting pourselves ind anger of serve injury or has some Germany person in the world of model manufature want us all to go back to graa roots and build only what they want, it begs the point what's the use of modifying, customizing & whatever else we do in a hobby that keeps some of us out of the local pub and others from smoking ourselves silly ?? . I do know it's only a recommendation BUT it does make you think. Dingo
  9. I have just aquired this kit only last Thursday 30th April and have built only the motor to see what it's like and as U can see by the below photo it ain't too bad. I plan is to build over time a luxury motorhome complete with tagalong trailer fully fitted out with a small workshop to maintain the Dodge Charger Daytona, This kit will take the best part of a year to do as I have to buy in many parts as well as build some, which will be my first attempt at scratch building. The Motor The boxed Cityliner Coach The entire year long project. Dingo
  10. Fujimilover it sure does lend itself to be built into a motorhome that's what I'm doing. I'll take a photo of the floor pan to show you real soon. Dingo
  11. Picked this up on Thursday 30th April after 3 months on layby at a cost of $195Aust. Dingo
  12. Model otherwise the grass needs cutting and if it's real I'm not playing anymore Dingo
  13. That'd be right, reminds me of the days when the N.S.W. (New South Wales) Cops used Mini Cooper S's in the early to late 60's as Highway patrol cars and everyone though they where real nutters man now the Vic coppers R going Mitsubishi Evolution's what next Suzie Caputunnos he he he. Dingo
  14. These are my models on hold due to my wife's illness at the moment, they will stay this way until the end of June at least. Dingo
  15. I'm not a Porsche lover except for the Cayene (I own one) but I think they've gone over the top with this one it looks positively aweful and that's all I can say. I can now say I own one even though I am on an Australian pension because I have just won it in a charity lottery, cost me $10 a tivcket bought only one. Dingo

  17. Thanks for the help on the bull bar but I am actually replacing it completely with an Auslowe bar and is different to the kit one so no worries there but thanks anyway it was very kind of U to int that out as I would have made that mistake if I was using the kit bar. Oh yea by the way Kosta sorry but all kit builds have come to a stand still for now as my wife is into her cluster migraine headache period and it could last until the end of May beginning of June. Citroen Xsara

Thanks guys for U'r comments. I should point out that the 2,500 kilometer journey was to get to the event from our home town not from one comp point to the other, we had to drive for 48 hours almost non-stop to make the start after mis-timing our journeys distance. I can tell you never again if we ever get back to rallying it will be a case of sending the car ahead on the transpoter and driver, co-driver will fly and this will happen in 2010 when the WRC comes back to Oz in the state of Queensland in Sept/Oct of that year. Dingo
  19. I built this car after hearing of the death of Mark's co-driver Micheal Park when their car crash in the British round of the WRC (I think) I will be stood corrected as it's been a while since it's happened. Dingo

    Citroen Xsara

This was built after the real car was wrecked in 2006 Telstra Australia round of the WRC in Western Australia, I was the co-driver at the time when the driver on a transport stage from one comp section to another fell asleep at low speed (70kp/h) and we went off the road rolling the car (we had travelled some 2,500 kilometers to get there by road) the crash destroyed the car beyond quick repair and has only just been repair after a 3 year struggle and battle with cost and panels. 23. Actually Vizio it's an on-board fire extinquisher susten it's not plummed in as yet to go to the engine bay, one of the gauges on the dash is a fire monitoring gauge but yea it could be used as a nitro bottle if U want it. Dingo
  24. Great job on the LED's but the only thing I could say that I find not quite right is the headlights no not the flashing part that's OK I think to make it look even better they should have been on permantly especially if U used Luxeon LED' that throw the light down the road, othetr than that great mate well done on an Aussie great and a Ford for a change. Oh by the way welcome. Dingo
  25. Thanks Micheal for the info on Mick's Decals I been there and had a look and have fallen into a bit of a hole and that hole is PayPal as like with EvilBay I have been banned from using them due to an unpaid item and bill that I did not buy so I now have to contact them to see if there is another way of getting what need.
