This rig has been so long in being built I almost forgot I had it, it had about 12 months worth of dust on it but it has cleaned up OK for this photoshoot. I plan to build a trailer for it that will carry around 10 cars and the truck itself will get the frame rebuilt to take 3 maybe more cars stacked and not as they are sown here, as you can see the 5th wheel is a low mount type and that's how it will stay. Low mount 5th wheel Dingo

Krishna, that's one nice Alpine luv the blue sets it off real good & U've done good in getting the bummper lights at the right angle especially for the couple of cars that where used here in Australia it's funny how they hung like that U'd think they would've gotten cleaned up by all the bouncing around when the car hit the ground after yumping over a hump. Well done on a great model . Dingo

I dunno about the rest of U but I've just been thru this thread and hey where's the photos of the all the cars that took part, there seems to be a lot of talk but no action. As soon as get my car I will put it up this is so you can't say like U have said to one other postee who mentioned that there's no photos, how long has this thread been going for now, when does it actually start and when will it officially finish, need to kno so I can build a good car or just a OOB car. Nick, I have no idea what U'r talking about, but if U where going off about my builds and others on this forum went off at you for doing so I'm sorry, I know I don't build good models but then I'm not or never have been a great or the greatest model builder, I do have problems in more ways than one but I at least try my best. So to you Nick I say "Sorry for the ###### that they've given you, if it's been over my builds" . Dingo

Nice colours luv the pin stripe is that a free hand job or did U use tape either side to get a straight line. Dingo

In answer to your question iBorg and sorry for the late reply, the answer is simple I got them of the Nascar site. Dingo

Yes it is amazing what you find when you start cleaning out your work area/den and find a box of old photos there are quite a few in there that I had forgotten about and some really old ones at that like this I think Snowman funny car but don't hold me to the accuracy of it as this photo is old and detail is rough. Yes the photo was taken on my bed many moons ago, as I said it's old. Dingo

Different is all U can say. Dingo

A bit of sad news about the Falcon Wagon, it got it's heart crushed about 3 weeks ago now the poor old gal had, had enough and she blew her motor coz it was going to cost too much to repair the our lad bought another Falcon but a sedan this time and the old wagon went to the crusher, oh well she did well she was built in the mid 80's and went for some 20 odd years before falling over and breaking her motor. I was cleaning up my den the other day and while going through some old photos found these of a couple of drag cars that my son built when he was little well around 14 yrs old anyway. this is one of about 3 or 4 cars he built around this age. Dingo

George Morphett Vale is a nice suburban town if you want to call it that, it's part of the main city of Adelaide and what is called an outer suburb we are some 24 kilometers from the city that is after leaving the main southern suburb area and going into the hills yea we're in the hills it's quiet most of the time except for 2 hours in the morning & the evening when the traffic is going to and from work or whatever, we do get the occassional truck using their exhaust brakes on a slight and I mean a very slight downhill grade, they don't really need to use 'em but they do and this is done in the wee small hours of the morning like 2-4am and it's annoying. I have writing to the company concerned and our local council (simular to ylour county shire) but all I got from the company was a big fat shut the heck up you have no idea and from the council I got a big fat no answer at all so I guess we will jsut have to put up with it as the state government handles things like this the same way no answer. Anywa apart from that it's main quiet and we like that way, the neighbour can be a bit noisy sometime so a simple shut-up gets a responce of quiet from from or the cops come round to let them know. So I guess George the neighbour hood i a bit like yours, as normal as you can get as far as normal goes hey. Dingo

I like to watch the Nascar racing when it's on TV here in Australia but I can't get over the fact that they race a Toyota Camry or should I say a car that looks nothing like a Camry and call it that here in Oz the biggest motor it gets is a V6 how and the heck can Nascar get awy with putting a V8 into something that looks suspiously like one of the other cars that race over there and insult it by calling it a Toyota. Now please guys don't get me wrong I'm not knocking I'm just asking a question as I'm not really into Nascar all that much. Are those guitars for real ( like make music) or are they just a trophy that hangs on the wall. Dingo

George thanks for your comment it was great to see a bit of positive reaction after all the ###### I got over this one, to start with yes it's a bit of artistic expression no it isn't what we had as you say downunda and I agree we do, do truck in Australia a bit different to the rest of the world but if you saw our conditions here you would agree why that is so, our conditions are quite harsh to the rest of the world George just visit and see. I have been working on this car for some time but now it's finished and I hope you like what I have done. Also the decals & wheels where supplied by a good friend of mine who is a model builder. Dingo

What kit is this?
Dingo replied to Matt LeBlanc's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
MrObsessive, I think Ford called it a mess but seriously that is one coockoo car and who would be dumb enough to chop a Mustang and custum the rest of the body. Dingo -
OK guys I decided to give this a new page from the construction one and after weeks of trying to get that black paint right and I know it's not perfect BUT I've given up and stuck with how it is now, the "little beauty" my commant for the it only not the whole model and certainly not an Aussie saying now sits proudly on my display shelf in my den along with all the other kit models I have done, so if you want laugh away have fun but remember I do it for me not to win sheep stations or to be king dick, top dog I'd never be that and I'm the first to admit it BUT I like building kits especially OOB with a few mods. Now here is my Mack Hearse. The side curtains are cardstock and on the outside as that was the only place to put them no room inside. Dingo
-
TomA, I have already given him the flick to 3rd slip at least I don't have to explain that meaning to ya hey. The hearse is almost finished I know I have said that for the past couple of post on here but tonight I added some final touches and now just waiting for them to dry and cure properly before handing it again would have to hae to go through all that agian it's been such a pain, bloody balck i'll never do an all black model again (huh like heck). Anyway thanks for your support Tom it's been good and this wanker who ever he is should get the message and leave us all alone. Dingo

mrdtrp no I'm not an embarresment to Aussie modellers BUT U sure are if U'r an Aussie at all, you have a right royal bloody cheek coming onto this forum and rubbish builds where's yours or are you too ###### scared as the models will get called absolute rubbish. Model building is not about taking a kit and building it so the rivet counters are happy if you want that then build planes tanks & ships with cars & trucks it's up to builder to do what he or she likes to do if it was aworld run by you mardtrp it would be so boring that we would shoot ourselves of get of the planet, I'mglad I live in a counry where cars & trucks xan be built as we want them whether they be hot rods, customs or whatever stock is OK if you want modified is OK as well but people like you should be put off this forum and buried where you belong in the garbage heap. Sorry when I got these ready to put on here I thought I had a plastic build of a Nascar racer but when I looked closer they turned out to be Cardstock (paper). So here they are for you all to comment on. Cardstock Nascar Cardstock Nascar truck racer or maybe it's a Nastruck who knows.
