  1. Tim, what ever colour it is I know that this tipper will be another one of your fantastic models & I must say that you have inspiced me to stick to one make of truck and build it with different styles so I have decide it's going to be Mack's sorry Tim. Dingo
  2. Jim the purpose of the tray on the back is the same as the standard pick-up in the U.S. or our utes here in Oz and it will hold camping gear and the like there will be no 5th wheel sitting inside or anything like that this rig is purely a go/show truck, the stripe work on the model is from the kit and this kit is the Italeri No.719 Australian Truck and I'm looking for the same stripes so I can finish of the tray. Dingo
  3. Here is some of the ute that I have been working on it's getting there slowly. Stripe work will continue down the tray whenit's painted and I can get some more stripes. Detroit V6 sits in under the cab Mirrors are now fitted & drivers mirror has worklight Cab lights & sleeper light plus air horns inner sleeper light R orange not red. 6 spoke spiders colour coded to body paint with black wheel nuts. Horse mascot & clear bug deflector Pins for holding barwork in place plus driving lights. Exhaust pipe at side of cab is now connected to engine pipe. Dingo
  4. Thanks Chris & Bob, one thing I did forget to write in the first notation is that this car will be hard to build as it's an X-drift car that has been rebuilt to road going condition so it makes it a very rare bird on the road, beside the fact that the M-Spec car is a rare one in Australia there is about only 10 of them and 3 as I call it live in my home state of South Australia, anywa guys I'll do my best to locate what I need and if the guy doesn't really need the motor area then I'll do just the outside but I sure would like to do the whole thing maybe a challenge for me to do the mods required. Dingo
  5. Thanks guys the car has no c]grille or inserts on the bonnet to let air into the engine bay and the guy wants a replica of his R34 to be right on with no alteraions so it's going to be hard to find a car that will fit the bill but I think I can do it, I'm going to give it a good try anyway. Dingo
  6. Michael, I use a air match air pistol, .357 Colt Trooper revolver & a Smith and Weson model 41 .22 semi-auto as well as we hunter using Lee Enfield .303 & .303/25, Rossi lever action .357's .22/250, a couple of bunny busting .22 and a 12 gauge shotgun for what ever gets in the way we mian bust feral cats with that one. Dingo
  7. I am interested in knowing if any model manufacturer puts out an R34 Skyline with a motor (not curbside) I have a friend who wants me to build a model of his R34 M code but wants the motor under the bonnet so he can display it with bonnet up. This is for photo purposes so the number plate has been scrubbed out for security reasons, this is the car I want to replicate. Dingo
  8. I'm not into Transformers either, but I don't mind looking at them they are interesting toys??. My other hobbies include star gazing, pistol shooting & being a scout leader. Combining 2 hobbies in the one photo the telescope for star gazing & my scouting. Dingo
  9. This is my latest and really a dream rig that I would like to build if I had the money to do so and ofcourse drive everday. Cab's not glue in position and bullbar was found to have come unglued so was re-glued. Top stone is aftermarket, bottom one is kit stone guard boy does the aftermarket one look better and yes I used it. Dingo
  10. Thanks guys but as it turns out I in the end didn't really like it either so apart from others not liking it I'm the person who has the final say and as I'm not really into it as I thought I was, I'd rather have this old girl anyway. Besides I'm thinking of building not as the tipper shown but as a replica of my dad's truck he had a flattop that carted rolls of paper for the local newspaper back in the 50's & early 60's the only difference will be mine will have a closed in front (windscreen) where my fathers cab was an open cab. Dingo
  11. WOW, but confusing as the stats say that it has 600bhp but down further it say 2,500hp which is it, also top speed 385, 305 or 400mph again which is it I don't think anyone really knows just give the thing the the Top Gear mob they'll find out and wreck it & I'm not talking about the pommie lot I'm talking about the Aussie mob who are a bunch of nohopers on some things they do. Dingo
  12. I think my hardest model so far is the Revell Cityliner coach which I'm converting to a motorhome, other than that the Chrysler Turbine which I gave up on as there are some broken parts and I have used the motor for another car. Dingo
  13. I know this reply is a little late but I just had to throw it in, on my car I have 2 fillers one on the right one on the left, now you'd all think what's his problem well the problem is that the one one the right is for L.P.Gas. (propane in your language) the one on the left is for petrol ( gas in your language) the L.P.G. is opened using a key, the petrol remotely and it's bloody annoying when you get out of the car after using the L.P.G. filler for a few months and have to put petrol in only to find that as one other forum writer said you end up going back to the drivers door to pull the release cable yes a cable and if it breaks there's no way in except with a screw driver to lever that blasted door open and ruin everything. Car manufacutrers I think get together with every new car that's about to be released and have a big talk fest on how to screw the car owner for fun, we should all band together and not buy new cars but stick to the ones we own and love and know so well and that also goes for the oil comoanies who s crew us on fuel prices, they say oil is running out no it's not and it never will BUT that's another subject. Dingo
  14. Man I', surprised someone didn't called the cops and have her hauled away to one of those chinese loony bins where she would have been given the right royal treatment of how unification works in China. Dingo
  15. There has been a lot of flack about this hotrod mack so I have decided to rebuild it back to what it should be and the photos below will show you the transformation form hotrod rig to old time tipper. From this: To this: Including motor replacement from V8 to original Mack motor. Dingo
  16. Tom, the trailer is a kit that was available many years ago but I believe is back on the shleves of your LHS, the rack over the cab is homemade but is actually just a car carry trailer base jsut sitting on the cab and not actually stuck there, it's only there for pose value for this photoshoot. Dingo
  17. GUys to see how to one turned out please go to the workbench and see what is now happening to it. Sorry guys no longer like this too many objections from other people that it's a waste of a good kit. Dingo
  18. Bradley. no it is one of 2 '26 Mack trucks that I have one was a tipper and thre other a log truck, thanks for the tip on the tanker coming out I'll have to keep my eye out for it as I would like that one for my collection. Dingo
  19. Thanks guys for ya praise on this model, George U'r not wrong on that short lived GTO we got chopped with its counterpart the Monaro but then again it wasn't a great car anyway and I was supprised when U guys thiught it was even anywhere near equal to the old Goats, now don't get me wrong here George and it's only my opinion but it was one of two pieces of ###### that Holden (G.M. Australia) built the other was/is the G8??? sedan and hoping it would seel over there now we'll get them all back here like the GTO and they'll be converted back to RHD and sold as new cars even though they seconds, anyway that's my gripe Fellows. The old MAck will be getting better wheels later on n the year when I can afford to buy some nice rims & tryes for it, money is the problem at the moment have to pay of a 1:1 car repair bill, broke the front r/hand drive shaft cost a $1000Aust to fix. Dingo
  20. In Australia this would be an overlaod as far as I know now, it's been along time since I've carried rolls of steel but here in Oz 3 rolls in a full load 2 over the or 3 axle rear bogie & 1 over the drive bogie of the prime mover and must be canvas covered at all time but as I said it's been a long time since I carted steel rolls. Dingo
  21. It is now finished and well sort of looking OK. Rear guards made of cardboard toilet roll. Dingo
  22. TomA the kit wheels are not the final wheels for it I'm looking at putting some nice car type rims & tyres on it, anywa here's some more photos and the bonnet is fixed in position now. Dingo
  23. Yes Win I did run it on another forum as you say and I decided to go with it after so many on that forum said I should do it good on hey??, It's a hotrod not a tractor pull machine it's suppose to be road legal and pipes thru the bonnet wouldn't allow that, I'm also doing this as a bit of fun and relief from building my coach as that is a big project and has to be put aside due to not having the money to buy more bits & pieces for it ie: furniture etc. Dingo
  24. Kostas, no it will be as is. Here R a couple of photos of wot it will look like when it's finished. Neat little rig. All chrome master blaster motor for the little rig. Dingo
