Bob thanks for U'r comment it is encouraging and yes I might even give it another go and this time try some wiring, plumbing and such but not sure wot it would be maybe a superstock or a wild bunch car. Dingo

Win, as you can see it is getting better as the paint gets layered on and sanded then polished & as I said mardtrp U've got towait to see the finished product before saying something is ######, there are a few of my models on this and other forums and no one has said they're ###### and I don't think they would. Dingo

Is this forum exclusively a plastic modellers forum or can I show a few of my cardstock (paper) models, I do have some good ones and not so good ones that I would like to show the members but I do not want to put them up them get banned because they are not plastic a thing that happened on another forum a few years ago now. So please let me know so I can work out what to do about showing these models I have. Dingo

This was given to me by my wife back in 2007 so I had to build it otherwise it would still be in its box (no kidding) sorry about the milkyness on the right side of the plastic clear bubble & front window it's sun damage from when it sat on a heavy vehicle tow truck in the window of my den. It was a fun model to build and very easy being a snap model and I didn't bother to paint it although I think I should have to make it look better, if I could get another one I would and paint it as well as glue it as this one has been put back together a few times after cat accidents. As the title says this is my one and only attempt at building a funny car it was done as an OOB so I didn't hav to do any fancy stuff like you guys do but one day I just might try. Hope you like this first go. Built by me. The next 2 cars where built by my stepson who I'd hope would follow me but he didn't instead he builds 1:1 cars as a hobby. Built by my stepson Ben. Dingo

Rick thanks for the comment, the little Mack is almost finished and will be on here soon I just have a few things to add to it to make it look more presentable as a few people think it's nothing like it should be but it is under construction. I have no idea what a "Grave Desition" is but I gave you are custom building a Pete and it should look good as having had a look at some of your builds on the website you have posted on your comment they are great models you have and I'm looking forward to seeing U'r Pete. mardtrp, I'm not here to get my ego stoked as U put it and I don't build junk models either some may look a little scrappy at first but don't most kits when they first start out. I have no intention of giving the other site a break they deserve wot they got and they will get their comupence when required BUT I hold no grudges and will return to that forum when the hearse is finished and they will see that when a model is in the middle of being built it looks awful as most do, so mardtrp before U give a bad word or make a comment like this one that U have given if it was just for fun or not think first some other person might judt not like it as for me I could give a humans arse about it and let it go to left slip catcher where it belongs. The little rig is almost finished and will be up here soon, then make a comment which ever way you want. Dingo

Phew Dave a stroke that's bad and I thought I was going trough a rough time when I had my mild heart attack. Man you ahve done a great job on both these kits and in 1/87th scale, you're a real wiz my friend and I hope you have a speedy recovery as well. Dingo

That's one cool R5 I like any rally car that's been well built and well presented and this is another of those that fits the bill, well done Krishna Dingo, Adelaide Australia.

Dale nice bunch of rally cars U've got there, well presented and looking great. Dingo

Guys the Subaru used in Canonball was an early Leone 4x4 known in Australia as the "Touring Wagon" in the movie it was a shorten version bit like a 2 door hatch. I would like to have a crack at this build but don't have a kit to use and won't have til the end of the year so I guess I miss out oh well sadness is todays expression for me, but I'll look in on all the builds to see how they are going. Dingo

James, it doesn't matter how big the funeral vehicle is after all the person in the coffin doesn't know anyway. This rig is no where near finished and if you are a member of the other forum that this little rig has appeared you'll read that it has been scrapped well don't worry it hasn't that comment is onlly for that useless mob who can't wait to see a finiahed model before commenting an how crappy it is, as you can see it has a few problems that has been caused by the tape I used but I've gotten over that using metho (an acohol based cleaning agent) which is good for getting rid of tape marks. James this truck will be finished and will appear here so you will see it eventually. Dingo

This is the other little mack truck that I got form the U.S. many months ago it started life as a logger but with using the tray on my large car ute I needed to do something a bit different so here it is. Please note that the paint work is not finished so please don't say it's terrible as I know it is. Dingo

Mike, 2 computers looks like U missed the one sitting on the driver dash, or is it just an illusion oh well never mind mike U can miss one if ya want this build is getting on top of me my friend as I want to finish it now but can't as I have to wait for bits & pieces to come in from near and far. Threw on a bit of paint today, the heritage cream went on good despite it being a cold day around 17 degree C. the only probelm I had was when I pulled the tape off it left behind a resdiue now I have to do a repaint on the black after hunting down some low tack tape to cover the cream. Paint work not too bad if you over look the residue left behind. Dingo -
Win sorry can't remember wot one U are talking about, if it was a '26 bulldog then no as it would create too much contraversy, if it was the R model absolute not as that is my farmers truck and I don't really have any other except the '26 bulldog being built as a hearse oh maybe that's the one hehehehe!!!!!?????.... Dingo

diymirage, yep it has escaped but only because after placing the photo here I realised that it is my W.I.P. effort and not the finished model oh well ###### happens as they say, thanks guys for your comment anyway. Dingo

A bit more work has been done on my motorhome but not alot. New gauge set-up on dash. Floor coverings are now in including tiger skin (fake ofcourse). Some of the computer equipment that will grace the interior to keep the motorhome running as well as the show car it will be towing. Two mock-up photos to see eot it will partly look like. Dingo -
Well it's been along time since I've even placed a finished car on here so I decided to put a couple of older ones up, I've also made the decision that I will no longer build the time wasting take too long to build trucks and go back to wot I was going to do in the first place and build rally cars both WRC & my homeland ARC or Australian Rally Championship cars so here R a couple to start that ball rolling again. A crappy cardstock Bowler Desert Raider. The classsic Audi Quattro. A PanAmerican Rally Edsel Pacer (note I didn't say Ford) Dingo
-
Matt, that's one great little ScoobyRoo and a well done WRC car at that. ONce you get back to your homeland U'll be able to do better as U'll be able to supa-detail. I would hate to be stuck in Iraq (not against it or for it) I know the job has to be done but U'r model building talents R wasted being overseas. I don't live in the U.S. but in Oz downunder and I think U R all doing a great job really but get home safely please and start building some terrific rally cars. Dingo
-
Man that is amazing stuff U've done there but I must ask one question and please forgive me for saying this "why" would just building the kit roll bar system and improving on the plastic be easier, guess I'm just not into it as others R OOB kit stuff is my bag and just a little bit of modifying will do me thank you. But hey don't let my comments upset you I really do think it's absolutely amazing and it really does impress me and make me think why didn't I start this hobby years earlier or be born only 15 yrs ago so I could start doing stuff like that now. All I can say is WOW and well done congrats on a good job so far can't wait to see it complete and marvel at real talent. Dingo Don't take this as an insult or anything it's just beyond me really.

The only way this is going to work out for everyone is for Ecclestone to drop his "out of this world" fee he charges all the F1 teams to compete in his races, if he thinks that they ( the F1 teams who have broken or R going to break away) to pay and keep on paying him those high fees he ask then he's got another think coming, I think they R doing this to let him know that enough is enough. Now I will be the first to say I don't know a lot about F1 and that this is only my opinion so if someone out there has any idea of wot is really happening and has got it straight form the horses mouth then I say let him speak now or for ever hold his piece. We need to know wot is going on, well at least those who have an interest in it anyway. Me excluded F1 is not my bag really. Dingo

Hey guys just to make U even more jealous although I doubt it, U'all seem to be great guys on this forum, the Skyline is not only an R34 but an even rarer M-Spec model. I've been told there are not many of these types around anywhere let alone here in Oz ( 100 only????) so it really has to be steal/proof and that it is, it has a couple of secret things that does prevent theft but I ain't saying & wild horses would pull it out of me. Repost for this thread only rare M-Spec model, believed to be only about 100 in Oz & 3 in my home state of South Oz. Dingo

I got banned from a plastic modeller site don't know which one because I put a couple of cardstock models on even though one was part of a plastic truck load go figure hey ????? anyway I couldn't or even give a rats bum for that site anyway too bleeding picky for me. Dingo

This little beauty was once the HotRod Mack but after much disagreement with many on different forums and my wife it has been rebirthed as the origianl tipper, good thing I still had the parts otherwise it couldn't be done. So this time I hope U'all like it otherwise tough. Load is model railway roadbed, good stuff for that cheap and easy to get hold of. Dingo
