These 2 trucks are 1/16 in scale and are old Monogram kits from the late 70's I hope you like 'em. Peterbilt built OOB. Kenworth built with many mods, like working lights, opening doors, converted to righthand drive, twin double sleepers and an extensively extended chassis with twin steer. Decal on the front sleeper reads Cocktail Hour, unfortunately this model went missing while on display at the local Kenworth dealer back in the early 80's and was never seen again. Dingo

This is an Aussie built vehicle fom the 70's and is called a HT model as part of General Motors Holden Australia range back then. This an is built up as a shearers rig use by sheep shearing guys back then to get from workplace to workplace in the bush now they use fancy 4WD's and the poor old van has gone the way of the dinosaur. Holden HT Panel Van. The grille is from a Chev Nova & the driving lights are paper. Dingo

Built in the 70's when Tamiya had these kits out in the hundreds in my home town and I mean that you could buy them anywhere. Dingo

This one's for Zuk, it was built back in the 90's and follows an old landcruiser we had before that which was a different type of rig. Roof Rack Load Overall 3/4 front view Antenna on roof rack is a hypodermic needle & antenna on left fender is wire from an electronic resistor. Dingo

It's a model hey guys just look at the tyres don't worry about the sunset or any other point in the photo the tyres are a dead give away on any model, the one thing us car or truck modelers don't do unlike aircraft modelers is faltten the tyres to show weight and that's what this car has no flat tyre weight showing so it's a model not real. Dave we did have a veru good cannon that was a 10mega pixel camera and took photos as close as 5cm with an excellent macro setting, I did say have because silly me dropped it and after it didn't work very well like most cameras they don't like being dropped but other than that it was a great camera and is my suggestion, sorry can't remember it's model number but I think most top range cameras with a macro should do the job you want it to do. Nick, the Celica thru to the Signa are pld cars that have now gone but the rest are cars that my wife and I bought and have just hung onto, the Cortina is being rebuilt into a nostalgic racer, the magna is our current street/rally car, the falcon now belongs to our son after we owned & drove it for about 10 years it still runs it original straight 6 3.3 liter carby motor, the mazda & colt are just sitting in the yard waiting for something to happen they could get sold off as wrecks even though they're good and the Leyland P76 is our classic car that w euse ever 2 years or so on a classic run but we're thinking of putting a full roll cage into it upping the power of the motor and using it on the Classic Adelaide Car Rally held in our home town each year it runs on L.P.Gas (propane) and has twin 100 liter tanks in the boot (trunk) that's how big the boot is. This truck is being built as a farmers truck the tray is of a 1926 Mack kit and the R600 is an AMT kit so far it has taken about 4 months to build as it's waiting for resin parts to come in and I have to save money for that to happen but it will get there eventually. The farmer wants his truck. Dingo

Jim, it's possible you have seen those 2 trucks on another forum I am on about 4 or 5 other forums but have quit a couple of them now, it's just been so impossible for me to keep up with them so I've picked the best and stayed with those. Dingo -

Yea Zuk but who cares about tyres anyway, as for being a purist nah who wants that is that what is being a model builder all about doing what you want. jb many years ago Ford built a car called the Cobra as you know the only thing is in a straoght line it could blast the pants of a Kangaroo when it came to corners well that's another story that flat out Cobra driver of that era don't talk about jb. dwc 43 it is the Gone fishing boat but I call it a bass buster as it looks like the bass buster boat my mate has in 1:1 form, Zuk I don't get U'r comment on "still not your sig pic tho" could U explain I'm not up to modern sayings being somewhere near 60. Thanks for all your good comments though Dingo

This was built for my wife and it was her decision to have the clear bonnet on it. The Bass Buster boat was thrown on the back as I hadn't built an off-road trailer by the time the photo was taken, it still doesn't have it. Dingo

This is what my car would look like if I owned a Ford Mustang of the Mach1 variant. Dingo

This skyline would blow away any other skyliner that is around as it runs a Blown Hemi, it started life as a curbside but then I wanted something diferent so I got a motor from a friend and shoehorned it in. Dingo

fordh8r no is no need to set up the printer to print of any of my models as they are printed straight onto A4 cardstock. Dingo -
Fordh8r the black roll on top of the cab represents the tarp he use to cover the paper & FlatbedKW I'm not sure what motor he used but I think it was some sart of small diesel motor out of a them Jap truck but as I said I'm not sure I was only a kid about 8-10 yrs old at the time and I wasn't into trucks then. Thanks George, I hope you do give it a go but remember it will take a lot of ink from the printer and if the family uses it for other printing as well they might just kcik up a stink wehn you out of ink. It is good fun and it took me about 4 months before I got to where I was game enough to show my builds on the net, I do have a few wrecks in my den/hobby room. I wish more plastic model builders would try cardstock (paper) just to see how easy plastic is. Dingo -
Thanks for the advise DWC43 but I'll leave it as it is for now if and when I do another one I'll make the changes, where I live in Australia all vehicle except motorbikes must run front number (license) plates as for the A-pillar light that's a good idea to paint them balck not only would they blend in but also cut back on dazzle glare for the driver. Next time I build a cop car I'll do more to it than just a OOB kit as this one is. Dingo

Thanks Foxer, once you know how to build them they are easy to do the only thing you have to remeber is to keep ya finger clean of glue and if you use sup glue not to stick to it. dingo -
KNew it was the tyres gave it away, being such a heavy car the tyre would have had flat spot bottums just look at any real car the tyres aren't perfectly round. Dingo

Finished building these 2 Edsels not so long ago after a 6 month bild time due to money issues. One is a stadard basic acr the other a Trans-America rally car. Powered by Ford V8 This car is to be powered when I can get the motor by a Ford 6, again money issues. Dingo

When I bought this model I didn't see that it was a snap model & pre-pianted but never mind it came up OK. Atennas are a mix of different guage hypodermic needles bought from my local chemist (drug store) Dingo

Luv the oil story as my son did the same thing whenwe gave him our old car ran it for a week without oil just shows you how good old Aussie 6 cyl are. The model is looking good so far and as you said can't remember why you flocked the seats I think we've all done something we can't remember but it's turned out OK will watch this build with interest.
