The build continues slowly here it is with the boot lid fitted and part of the interior, man this is one hard one for me as I want to finish it but have to go slowly as I'm waiting for the rims & tyres. Rear Spoiler is the tall one from the Daytona kit cut down into a small wing type and it has been painted gloss white. Dingo

A few of my Trucks
Dingo replied to Dingo's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks guys for all ya comments. DWC the chain drive on the Mack is a kit part, Ford the purple painted prime mover with the 2 trailer is actually the same truck as the one above it I just repianted it Coz I didn't like the way I built the green rig so I re-did it. Dingo -
Thanks guys, the WRX is Madza Fawn I ha some left over paint from when we had a 626 so I used it up on the model, Zuk the crash was on a transport stage between comp stages and happened when my friend fell asleep after we had spent around 48 hours before hand driving from our home town of Adelaide which is around 2,000 kilometers east of Perth, Western Australia. Dang it's a big country. Dingo

Hey Zul all ya got to do now is buy an old car build a chassis for it an bingo U have U'r 4X4 and do it as a GTi that would P-off the purist like heck. Dingo

Here are just a few of the cars that make up my groeing collection of rally cars. The Parks memorial car built in honour of Martins co-driver who died while taking part in the WRC. A replica of a car that a friend of mine used in the Australian Event of the WRC it stnds on a Pari-Dakar start line, in reality it now lays wrecked in his shed after a transport stage crash in Perth Western Australia. A private entry WRX WRC car "Go Subaru" Dingo

No worries Zuk I will be starting to put all my rally car up on soon, I just have to go thru my Photobucket album to make sure they're all there. Dingo

Yep Nick U'r right Landcruiser in Oz R the main thing in the bush, as U say they're bulletproof but the patrol holds its own and will go anywhere in Oz that the Landcruiser does it is almost a 50/50 ownership for bush rigs here but other 4by's R strating to cut into the market if U can call them 4x4's a lot of just soft roaders used as 4bees. We R hunting down a Range Rover V8 at the moment coz they're cheap and like the 2 others go anywhere as well. Dingo

If that's real then those tyres are pumped rock solid coz they show no flat spot for vehicle weight and real tyres do that just look at your own cars guys. Dingo

Yep George sure did no one stuck it to me during my school years that's for sure, things changed when I got married though the little lady wouldn't let me thump anyone who made fun of it I had to take it on the chin but that's what us Aussie do sometimes. Anyway it's all in good fun now as most of the people who rib me R kids in my scout troop. Dingo (woof) Putting in Woof is rather funny as Dingo's don't actually bark they yelp.

Here is another of my trucks this one is a M.A.N. dakar race rig shown about to leave the start line in Paris to head of into the wilds of Nth. Africa and Dakar. Please enjoy. "Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nurnberg" boy I sure hope I got that right. Dingo

This is one of my first Cardstock trucks I ver built using supaglue instead of a suppossed non-toxic paper glue, it went together far better than any of my other models and I enjoyed building it as much as I enjoy showing it off I sure hope U all like as much as I do. The Epson race trailer is on the way I just have to get ink for the printer then I start building the large trailer with all it's internal equipment plus race car. Dingo

Thanks Rob I sure hope it will be cool especially with the Luxon LED's lit up and shining down the road, these LED's R suppose to be so good that they throw light out in front of the model and so they should Coz they R the LED's that R used in LED torches. Anyway I'm hoping to get them by mid-year and then I can get on with finishing this kit as it has taken me about 8 months so far to get to here. Dingo

Hey Zuk I gathered by U'r forum name that U really luv the little suzies well so do I and I've been on the hunt for a GTi at the right price here in Oz for ages now but no success, this is because everyone wants them for hotting up. Here's my 2 little suzies just for you and I'll get back to U maybe thru PM with the paper web address for them OK. Sorry they not the best but these where built when I first started out doing cardstock and I enjoy building this forum over plastic because I get most of my models free of the net. Dingo

This is my collection so far of rally cars both old & new, from ARC to WRC. Dingo
-
I may have put this up somewhere else on the forum please excuse me if I have. The car is being built to have working lights using Luxon LED's front & rear and I might even try and get the navigators map light to work but no promises ont hat one. Dingo

Zuk the body is sititng nose down at the moment because it's not actually glued to the chassis it's just sitting on top I think nce it is glued it will sit flat (hopefully) Dingo

3mens2 the webbers and the intakes R aftermarket from a small company in my home town, the webbers as far as I know can be bought easily BUT the intakes R now gone, if U'r interesteded in buying the carbs contact at the "thepartsbox.com" and it will take U there, there's lots of stuff there. Dingo

I am building this car as part of my rally car collection which is growing by the month even though some of the cars are still in thier boxes. Dingo

Hi Win good to see U on here as well, yep I know the forum ya talking about I'm still on it as well, my model building has come to a stand still for awhile as my wife has gone into her yearly Migaine headache period plus the fact there's no ink in the printer again and money for plastic, paint, glue & ink is in very shrt supply, living is more important than model building at the moment. Good to talk to agian Win. Dingo yep even use the cool sign here.

Ya right Nick Australia is two 4X4's the Landcruiser and the Nissan Patrol these 2 hold the market with the Landcruiser No.1 our 4by is a Patrol as we like the square chunky look of it and when we once had a borrowed Landcruiser it broke its back while crossing a rather deep rough creek crossing it was driven home but very slowly so Toyotas for us R rubbish and always will be. Dingo

Zuk the hypodermic needle are cut using the cut off wheeel of a Dremmel, the sharp part is used to stick it into the plastic so no worries there if U'r careful to start with, and the big antenna is HF outback radio not Ham even though back then I was a Ham operator and enjoyed every minute of it. The dust weathering was done by just leaving it to sit on a shelf for a months. Dingo

Yea Zuk that's wot my mates called me in those days coz my name is Dingo so when I built the team I put the names of my girlfriend at the time hence "Possum" and my nick name "Snoopy" it worked for awhile until I got sick of it being short to "snoopdog" and I kicked up s stink little did I know all these years alter that a rap singer called Snoopdog would front up, good thing I canned it hey. Dingo

Thanks guys for your reply, and many people ask is Dingo my real name or my net anme and I always answer yes. Funny you know to answer like that but it's true many years ago my father was a feral shooter and as part of his work he shot the dingo to keep them out of sheep country, so when I was born he called me Dingo after that damned dog I really don't know why he did it. Please enjoy this small model. Dingo
