  1. Cool 55! Nothing like a period Gasser with it`s nose up in the air.

Paul, The trailer is from the new Revell Midget kit. This was a very enjoyable build. Broke my building block. John, I have a resin `66 ford pick up I`m thinking about building to tow it.

Thanks for the comments guys. It is a resin replica of the Kart that came with the AMT `63 ford pickup. This one came from Norm at Replicas & Miniatures 0f Maryland. Ian, The engines are replicas of the Mcculloch 9 that was made in `63. It was 6.05 cu.in. First Shiny build for me in a long time thanks to Dr. Cranky. He has me hooked on rust and gunk, LOL.

    Just finished this one today:
  5. I think they help tell the story, but as Ken said It all depends: Now this one just would not be correct without the Flagman and drivers Another where they help tell the story line
  6. How about a well weathered and beaten Race Car:
  7. Steven , You spray the base coat first, after it is dry, Mist the body with water, then sprinkle on the salt. Paint over the salt and when dry brush the salt away. I can`t get the Hair spray method to work for me. Salting is not to bad, just play around with it , you will like it. But , No Body does it better than the Madd Doctor Cranky and his assitant Eyegore.
  8. Little Update: Still have to put a few washes on it. Now to work on the weapons.
  9. Here is the current progress. Will get a lot more done next week. Starting with a little paint.
  10. Before the out break, the "LTV"(Liberator Tatical Vehicle) company was working on a high tech Recon Vehicle. This vehicle has a 572ci big block set up to run on any combustable fuel. All wheel drive and set up with an on board computer backed serveilance system. Equipped with mini-guns & 50 cal remote weapons. The rear weapon is mounted on a slide system so the rear hatch can be closed when it is not in use. The top and side mounted weapons are remotely controlled by the on board computer. The tires are filled with a punture sealing foam. When the Out break set in two of the builders set out in the LVT to find others who had managed to survive the hordes. The LTV corp. had set up over 200 locations across the nation , bunkers with Fuel, Food and ammunition the drivers felt they had an ace in the hole. With General Eyegore`s permission, we would like to join the convoy to help fight off the Zombie hordes. "The Liberator" is more than willing to share the supplys in the hidden bunkers with everyone.
  11. Ratz.....weather would not co-operate for photos today. Got 90% of the armor on ....thinking about the paint.
  12. Doc...You were correct! I am having more fun at the bench than I have had in a long time. Think this might just get me out of my building slump. Going Hi-Tech, Will have a tracking system, moniter, Driver will Cotrol all weapons from the drivers seat. Solar panels for Electric back up power. My eyes and hands just don`t want to work together, having a tough time with weapons. Anyone have any links to where I could purchase some weapons. Or a how-to on building some. Hobby Lobby used to carry 1/35 armor but the 2 I have close by just stopped carrying much Military. Guess I will have to purchase a Military Chopper to get the weapons from. Any suggestions? Oh by the way........I`ll post progress pics when I get a break in the weather.
  13. Doc, Count me in! Have a Dodge Magnum Wagon and a 4wd chassis sitting around. Set of super swampers to mount on it. Mocked it up this afternoon. Don`t need any guns , sits so high I don`t think a dead Head zombie could climb up in it........well on second thought there is a pair of 50 cals. laying around and a multi-barrel zip gun I started a few years back. Still could use a tank turrent for the top.
  14. I woulds like to see a Photo etched VW engine. I know the heads and block would have to be resin but some photo-etch cylinders would be cool. I also have some multi-pc Porsche wheels avalible http://www.earlyyearsresin.com/. Will be working on a set of duel webers and intakes soon.
  15. Also will make a good short tracker. Back when I was a kid , a local kid had one with a 406 and 4 speed in it. One wild ride. Need a case of these.
  16. Everything on the Early Years Resin site is 1/25. Both the six`s are based off a kit engine. Thanks for the compliment on the Tankers,I put a lot of work into them.
