  10. I have a tamiya mp4-7 formula 1 car and im wanting to paint the red on instead of using the decals in the kit. Anyone know what color to use for the red? Ive heard the tamiya Fluorescent red is close but im not sure. Thanks for the help!
  11. thanks for the info steve. i used black enamel with enamel clear over that. i have the tamiya blue cap compound. ill try again using cotton balls this time and see if that helps get the scratches out. there is 3 good coats of clear on it so i dont think ill go thru. thanks again!

  16. Nice T-bird! The chassis looks amazing! What did you use to get the highlights on there? That really looks killer!
  17. i am building a 70 challenger and i was going to see if i could pick some of you guys brains about what to use for underhood detail parts. i want to add heater hoses, battery cables, things of that nature. i was wondering what you guys use for those items. any help is appreciated.
  18. not bad i guess.... i could do better.... hahaha nice one old man!
  19. nice old chebbys. i really like to color combos on both! good builds!
  20. the body is actually 2 pieces. the fenders/ running boards are one piece and the white body is another piece. the only part i had to tape up was the rear apron on the back of the white body. it is supposed to be the same color as the fenders but its attached to the body. the best thing to use for a 2 tone paint job is to get some of the yellow tamiya tape. pull out a piece the length you need and lay a straight edge on the tape and cut it to about 1/16th inch wide and use that to make the break between the colors. that tape is really nice and dosent leave a thick edge.
  21. looking good so far. is this reissue any better than the old kit? my dad had a real one and i would like to build one.
