Paulie Hauling's "Love Machine"
Kostas Parchas replied to Sergey's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I am using google chrome as a browser so it is very easy to translate every thing. I was meaning that it would be better for the board and the other members to use English to understand each other. I can't recal but I think there is a board rulle about the language we are using. Kostas. -
Paulie Hauling's "Love Machine"
Kostas Parchas replied to Sergey's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Gentlemen use English please!!! It is very simple and easy for me to write here in Greek, but who can read Greek here??? This is an English writing board, so please keep it in English. I think its OK if you are use British English or US English, (I use a mix of both) but keep it in ENGLISH!!!! Kostas. -

I like the way this truck looks so far. Eye cacthing two tone paint sheme, aluminum rear fenders and aluminum headache rack, what you need is a beal tanker to pull! I will have an eye on this one for sure, keep the good work coming. Kostas. -
Volvo VN 780
Kostas Parchas replied to martinfan5's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
You have build a very nice truck. Maybe you should add some decals of a company. I like both those Volvos 670/780 from Italeri, despite the fact that there is no engine and no steering wheels option. These are both nice kits, with a very promising interior to be detailed and of course a very new age fleet truck look. I wish I had bought more of these in the past, cause it looks like they are out stock nowdays here in Greece, especialy the 670. Would this truck look OK with the new Moebius reefer? Kostas. -

A Couple of New Masters
Kostas Parchas replied to cargostar's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Dave I have 2 questions, 1st, have you done any progress on the prosleeper? 2nd, Dave Metzner from Moebius models just announced that they doing a prostar, as far as you know in real life, do the lonestar and the prostar share the same cab? Will your Lonestar day cab be used with the Prostar or you will make a new daycab for the Prostar?? Greetings from Athens, Kostas. -

Kostas Parchas replied to cowboysevens's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Dennis, You have done very nice work so far and I would like to make a suggestion to you before its to late. If you are going to use that resin step/tool box, it would be better to remove the Peterbilt style frame mounted step mounts. There should be no need for them if you are going to use the step/tool box. So, before you apply any hand of primer, try to remove the frame mounted step mounts from the frame rail. Do it slowly and be patient in order not to cause any damage to the frame rail and also to save the steps for another project. I have already done this for my project http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26447 because I will use four tool boxes. It is not to hard to remove those step mounts but as I wrote before, you have to be careful to avoid any damage. Kostas. -
Pro Star and 53 ft Great Dane reefer
Kostas Parchas replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Thank you Dave for these great news. I very curious to see some photos of both the prototypes and of course the first test shots. I want to believe that this will not take as long as it did for the Lonestar. Tim, lets send to Dave & Moebius a ''heavy cloud'' of mails asking for some newer Peterbilts!!! Who knows, maybe just the two of us, can preorder the needed quantity for Moebius to start a Peterbilt project. Kostas. -
The Reborn
Kostas Parchas replied to Kostas Parchas's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thank you guys, I am not alowed to spend much time for my trucks. My 19 months old girl is ''dads girl'' if you know what I mean so there is not much really free time.... I am jealous on how other guys here are finishing one truck after the other and then the other..... Kostas. undefined -

Nice and clean build Kostas. -
Those 1/16 big boys are out of my scale. I woudn't change 1/24 1/25 for nothing else. Well OK, maybe for a newer Peterbilt 389 I coundn't resist, but not for those old kits. I am not interested. I believe that model companies are looking for easy money by re-re-re-releasing the same models again and again, and they have lost their origin, to produse new models. Thinks are moving forward and so the hobby does and of cource our needs, wants and wishlists. I am very happy that Moebius gave us the Lonestar and I can see that something had changed, slowly but surely. Italeri is going to release two new models (IVECO STRALIS, EU TIMBER TRAILER) and as they anounced that both those two models are totaly brand new toolings. So I can only hope for one or two new Peterbilts from them in the future and Kostas.
