  1. Mr Dave, When I first saw the pictures of the test shots you have build, I said to my self that this kit will become a best seller. I am fully respect yours and your colleagues work, working on new truck subjects and ofcourse I am respect all the money that moebius is putting on. I wish all the best. Early today I was thinking about how to ask for a new subject and I have to say that your post make it easy for me. As I strongly believe that all moebius truck models will succeed, I was thinking if it is early enough for the next trailer. What about a modern 53FT container trailer (intermodal, sea can, you name it)??? I believe that this kind of trailer should be an interesting subject for most of the truck modellers and since there is not any US container trailer availiable exept the italeri's 40ft European trailer, I believe that this could also be a best seller. Most important is that, as far as I can understant by my zero knowlegde about molds, it woudn't be difficult or complecated to create a 53FT contaner trailer. How this sounds to you??? I still want to dream for new Peterbilt kits, like 386 & 389...... Wish you all the best, Kostas.
  2. So far so good!!! Nice detailed firewall. Kostas.
  3. X 2, Just as I like it!!! Good job!!! Kostas.
  4. I like it very much!!! Its a cool, nice and clean build and the best off all is that you used also matterials such cardstock to complete the model. Thats cool!!! Kostas.
  5. Hi there, For me its not the same. I have a FB profile and I have posted there pictures of my models, but thats only because I want my friends to see my models and understand why I believe that my hobby is that important to my life. I am here, member of this forum because i think that there is not any better place for a car/truck modeller to be. I can ask questions, see other people models, be adviced, take info about model news and of course to show my models and here other people opinion about my work. So, model forums and especialy MCM forum is the best place for modellers and their models. Kostas.
  6. Thank you for your reply Dave. Kostas.
  7. Dear Dave, I am very very courious about how the Prostar would look hooked with the Great Dane trailer. So if you still have there with you the test shots of both the models, could you please post some pictures of the combo? Thank you in advance, Kostas.
  8. I was born and grew up in Athens Greece. Since I remember my self, trucks was always in my heart. Movies like Convoy and Maximum Overdrive are my favorites and I still like to wacth them. I can say that I feel proud that my 2 years old dauter already can say ''truck'' (in the Greek language of cource) and she is very happy when we are traveling by car and she can see trucks. Then she says loudly ''daddy truck!!!". OK now about the topic, I am buildng only 1/24 & 1/25 trucks, I have a lot of European truck kits to built but my favorite theme is American trucks, all makes but Peterbilt is my favorite of all. I have never been in the US and I have only see just once, a Kenworth W900 in real life about 20 years ago. It was a promo truck or so. So, this is my anwser to your question, in my opinion, it doesn't mater only where you are living but also what is your favorite subject, what is in your heart and what you are in love with!!! Here follows some pictures with my waiting to be built kits: Greetings from Athens, Greece, Kostas.
  9. Yes as the title sais, baby Pete. Sweet!!! Nice one Tim. Kostas.
  10. Hello Dave, Thank you so much for this update. Your Prostar indeed looks like a Prostar and I much like it. I am looking forward for this and the 53ft GD trailer. Edit: Its about time to see a 2012 Peterbilt 389/386, isn't? Kostas.
  11. Hi, The pictured MAN is the model TGX and the cab is the XXL. This truck is the flagship of MAN trucks and it can be equiped with MAN engines with up to 680hp. It is a state of the art EU long distance truck and at the moment the XXL cab is the bigest cab in Europe, if I am correct it is 12 cybic meters. As it metioned above, European trucks are made to provide high level of comfort to the driver, the cab floor is flat (no dog house) there are 2 beds and the space in the cab is enough to stand up. Because the hard EU laws about dimentions all European trucks has to be COEs. About the engines and their horsepower average, the new form Euro6 puts them in very very low emissions and high fuel savings. We have a ''big race'' over here between SCANIA and VOLVO about horsepower, SCANIA at the moment is up to 730hp and VOLVO was at 750hp. It may sounds to much power to you but believe it or no, with these horsepowers you can save fuels and fuel saving means more Euros/USD in the pocket... Closing, I am sure it should be strange to see these trucks in the US highways... Kostas.
  12. She is a beauty!!! (talking for the truck)... Its about time for the little princes there to start her model_truck_building career, don't you think??? Kostas.
  13. Hi there, Whell, for me the Lonestar is very welcome from RoG because still after 1 year in the market there is NOT availiable in our local hobbie shops under Moebius brand Hope to see soon also the Great Dane reefer and the prostar.. Of course if you want it you can purchace it via internet but paying shipping costs and taxes makes it a fortune. I have to agree that I cannot understant the reason why RoG kits are more expencive than the kits of the company that owns the toolings and had paid for them?????? The above sample was very fine and on target. As previous said from others maybe the decal paper is too expencive or the box art was designed by Picaso?????? :P Who knows? Kostas.
  14. This is a SCANIA V8 engine that you can find in any ITALERI 1/24 SCANIA kit. This engine was used in series 142/143 mostly. Newer SCANIA kits have the same engine with many components added, as the emissions technologies pushing forward. Kostas.
  15. Very nice looking rig, you may wish too that trailer to be more accurate.... Kostas.
  16. I better go to bed, I am so tired that I can only see Peterbilt dumpers.... I thought this thread was about a KW dumper kit reissue. Kostas.
  17. Super looking blue Peterbilt day cab!!! Your workbench looks so busy with all those trucks on, the lonestar looks like it goes to pick the reefer up, and the cabover looks like it climbs up a hill... Kostas.
  18. Looking good !! x 2 Kostas.
  19. Nice looking rig, see will be beautifull with a flatbet... Kostas.
  20. Awesome paint job, I can't believe what I see!!! This is a truly amazing job. Looking forward to see her done before Xmas... Kostas.
  21. Robert its OK with you, The Greek language is very nice but also very difficult and thats because of grammar. I am speaking Greek as a mother tongue, english (I believe at a very good point) and I am about to start learning Swedish. Kostas.
