  1. Goodmorning guys, I had in mind that I had update this, but it seems that, that was only in my mind. So here follows some pictures of the truckroom as it is at the moment. Basicaly the workbench and the selves are in position but the thruth is that I must take care of all the other stuff that is in there. So excuse that mesh in there, but without mesh what modelroom this would be? More to come...
  2. Well take a look here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41540&st=0&gopid=432679&#entry432679 Its done by now, I should put up some pics. Kostas.
  3. Thats very very COOL!!! Would you like to adopt me??? I am building big rigs if thats no problem... Kostas.
  4. Beautiful!!! This rig is beautiful, I like it a lot!!!! That Paystar find its place on the lowboy, from the dealer to the body maker.... Kostas.
  5. Jeremy hi, IMO the best part of the frame to slice and strech is under the sleeper. There are many ways to do it. The most easy way is to use a piece of frame from another kit (shortened wheelbase for example) Otherwise you can use styrene. I am sorry but at the moment I don't have how_to pictures to post. I have done this a few times and I can tell you that I did it in diferent way every single time. I am sure that other guys here will be more helpfull than me. I recoment to you to take a look at www.timstrucks.com. Kostas.
  6. Excuse me sir, are you a David Copperfield competitor, or just you are David Copperfield????????????????? You are building way too fast for me to follow your builds... Excelent work on both the KW & the trailer. BRAVO!!! Kostas. PS: I am also interested to scruchbuild one off these superb trailers you are building, so it would be great if you could start a new thread dedicaded on how you build these trailers, loaded with step_by_step_how_to pictures. Thank you.
  7. Nice rig you have there. Kostas.
  8. It sure looks good with both trailers! Kostas.
  9. Nice save!!! A very good looking workhorse. Kostas.
  10. Great job on both the tractor and the trailer. Nice to see someone to build this WS as a US truck and not as the AUS road train. Kostas.
  11. Well done!!! Kostas.
  12. Bravo!!!! Congratulations!!! The black & white picture is amazing. Kostas.
  13. You nailed it!!!!! Now it is perfect!!! That sort wheelbase is what exactly was needed to do the job for this build. It is great, nice & clean built, although it looks still a little bit strange in my eyes, with the fifth wheen instaled so far back. Looking forward to see it done with the trailer. Kostas.
  14. Outsider question here: Did the late 60s early 70s petroleum crisis had its role making COEs even more popular than conventionals. I mean that there were already conventionals before but is it just the trailer leght enough to make the industry to invest that money to change from conventionals to COEs and later back from COEs to conventionals? I personaly am a big fun of conventionals, I like em cause they are 1000 times better looking and luxury and safer than COEs and also because I can't see them around here. Near me here in Athens there are only 2 SCANIA T series (conventionals) both of them haulin tankers wich are sorter than all the other EU trailers and I like them too but still these are with too sort hood. COEs are beautiful in a way, European makers made miracles over the years about safety, luxury and design. Old US COEs are beautiful also and I feel lucky inough to see them on most of those 70s & 80s movies... Kostas.
  15. There are a few crazy people on this earth that can even do this kit R/C. Kostas.
  16. You have done a great job, amazing paint combo, nice and clean build. What you need now is to hook a Moebius 53ft trailer with maching colors and there you are. Kostas.
  17. Guys, on the European 4x2 trucks, the 5th wheel is positioned forward than the drive axle and not above it. Thats because of rules about weight and also about keeping the loaded truck easy to be driven. So its not only mater where is the kingpin of the trailer. As I said before, by adding 30mm to the frame you can have a correct 4x2 Scania conventional frame, talking about this specific kit of Scania. JT, if you don't like the 4x2 look, you can always convert is to 6x4 or 6x2. You have great scruchbuild skills so go for it. Kostas.
  18. JT, I have built a few of this Scania in the past. It is a very nice kit, builds up easyly but there is one big problem if you gonna built it out of the box as a 4x2. Italeri used the same frame as the 143 cabover, which has plenty off room back of the cab, but this frame is too short for the conventional 143. A good way to correct it is by streching the frame about 30mm. By adding 30mm to the frame leght, then you gonna have inough space to hook your trailer. Kostas.
  19. Nice trucks you have there!!! I like all your Peterbilts. Kostas.
  20. Earl hi, Your Peterbilt is a workhorse beast!!! It is amazing in all its details and my friend I love that headache rack. Bravo!!! Kostas.
  21. WHOA??? Your idea is really nice, long cab, long frame, very good, but IMO those stacks are far out of scale. OK custom, but these are TOO big. Kostas.
