  1. This is what i got from Matt Leblanc for 25 bucks at Tigerfest.
  2. I looked, they are NOT 2 piece wheels. The wires in the cobra kit are not see through, they are solid. Sorry to say.
  3. In 65, my dad had a 442. He said GTO stood for "Go To Oldsmobile". I think the Grand Nationals were significant in the modern era. Proving speed could be obtained from a factory 6 cylinder! Most significant in my time, the 64 GTO...starting (argueably) the muscle car era!
  4. I exchanged emails with that guy in Denver. LOL...I couldn't get him to deal the whole lot. He has some decent kits there.
  5. This is very cool...do you have pics of a built one by chance? What's the story...when was this released?
  6. Recently obtained. Crude old model. 1960 release of 1956 Lotus MK XI. (Top right corner). LOL...these kits have about 15 pcs. This one is complete and I don't know if they come with instructions, but with that few pieces, believe me...instructions not needed! From 1973. Missing rubber for front tire. 1967 kit 1909 Caddy...all parts still on trees. Has brass colored plated parts. 1/32 though (boo).
  7. I wanna play too! I don't really expect to ever build these, but they are 3 of the older kits we have here now. The Jag is factory sealed from 1970, the Heller Mercedes is as well (70's). The Willard battery is from the 60's.
  8. Jimnohio.com, and yes we do ship international! Duh...I don't know how i forgot to add link. (The link is also on my profile page, FYI)
  9. There was a "plastic explosion" in my office today.... Most of these have been checked, and will now be added to the site. For those interested, I should be uploading about 120 new arrivals Sunday around 5:00. These came from a collector in Florida...there are many very cool kits from late 70's and early 80's. Many MPC kits....
  10. Thanks guys...I'll be in touch soon. My day job has me swamped for the moment, but soon we'll be implementing our new pages at jimnohio.com. I have seen many pics from all of you (replied) that I would use. It'll look awesome! Jim
  11. LOL...of course! An AMT kit is an AMT kit....no matter where it came from! (revell, etc.)
  12. I will need a couple examples of each category on my site. i think it might be fun to change them every month or so. I can add a page for links to other builders...and we can all go gaulk at some builds. I have many customers who also are willing to help out. I think the whole thing should be up and running in mid April. The site will not have any real "design" changes, as I like to KISS (keep it simple, stupid). I think most folks when shopping want to see product, not a bunch of site content. To move us up in Google searches, I have to eliminate 'frames'. I hate to, but we'll never get picked up if we don't. The "actual model" pics will be atop each page. Thus, I need some from all categories we use... Early Iron, Classic, Muscle, Modern, Corvettes, racing, PU trucks, Foreign, and Show cars. I'll be checking this post for "permission", so to speak, and then email when we start actually using the pics. The pics will have to saved on my site (so I need to copy them) and may need cropped for content. It should be fun...and will look awesome seeing real builds on every page. Thanks guys!
  13. Header, or in the heading is exactly right. All pics would give credit to the builder, and even link their site if they choose. I think it would be more interesting to folks to see actual "built" models, as well as inspiring to other builders. I would contact the builder 1st as well.
  14. I have some plans for some web site upgrades, and I was hoping some of you guys would be willing to let me use a few pics of your finished models. We would be using them on our pages....example: Pic of a 90's car for our "modern" section, a "4 x 4 pick up for the truck section...etc. I would give credits on our "about pages", and may actually want to use more than one car on each page. Anyone who is willing to allow us to use your pics, please just reply here or email me. Thanks, Jim
  15. I agree about the red pinstripe. The entire car is awesome, but I can't take my eye of that pinstriping. Its so perfect! (also love the tailpipe ends and the red fan).
  16. I lived in Logansport many years ago....Bickles Hobby Shop in the 70's got me hooked on models (and HO racing). They were downtown, then moved to a mall (as I remember). Also they had a couple of slot tracks. Are they still around???
  17. I have seen a 6-8 selection of 1/32 scale Lindberg kits at different "cheapie" stores for $3.99. The boxes look great! Also, I noticed a bunch of ships, Lindberg, at our local "Sav a lot" (What was i doing there? don't ask...lol, it involved Christmas baking supplies)
  18. ....LOL! GRRRRRRR...don't get me started on Ebay shipping thieves! It seems to have gotten worse over the years. People wanting $10 to ship ONE kit in US is just a rip. The USPS Falt rate boxes have caused a lot of it as well. Those boxes are great for shipping horse shoes and pool balls, but model kits will ship in a FREE priority box for $6.00 +/- BTW...we ship 1 car to canada for $7.00, 2 for $9.00. (FYI)
  19. I think mine was a "Paddy Wagon". The first kit I custom painted was an AMX or Javelin kit. I painted light blue/dark blue stripes around the back half. (The stripes were exactly the width of scotch brand tape). That had to be 1969 or so, long time ago. Hmmm..wonder what kit that AMC was?
  20. The "Model King" Modified Stockers sound perfect for you. I only have a few in stock, but you can find them all over the place. They are 60's-70's cars with enlarged wheel wells, big ol fatties, etc. I recently started building again also! Welcome.
  21. I have been watching and reading, but not posting much. As you maybe know, we have an ever changing inventory...and add new kits often! Still shipping 1, 2 or 20 kits for just $6.00 (to US main 48). Stop in and take a look around... Jimnohio.com
  22. I see Gas Alley has the 34 Ford BOX ONLY listed for $40. LOL...that tells you how rare that kit is.
  23. 5.99 is more than fair...truth be told, collectors will find the really good stuff no matter what price it starts at. On ebay the listing fees are the same up to 9.99 (unless you list for .99, then you save a few cents). I see many start at 4.99 or so, and if the car is valuable, you can watch the bids escalate...that's always fun! I myself start most at 9.99, but it really does not matter, those cars will bring $75-$150 or more if your lucky. The big dealers at this site will likely have an idea what those cars you mentioned is worth. I'll check around a little too, I got rained off my regualr job this afternoon. LOL...I got some free time.
  24. RIGHT ON! I found several pics of the exact motor that's in the kit. There are many differences from the 427 kits out there and the one Ohio George built.
