  1. Just your 5th car model? You must be an artist or scientist in other areas as well. Great stuff.
  2. I see you're the subject of an interview at Scale Auto. Well deserved (I'm not a subscriber so I can't read it).
  3. I am involved with somewhat complicated large-scale kits, and I occasionally buy old built-ups and glue bombs either to study how everything goes together before I build the kit, or to use as a parts car for a variety of builds. Never for rebuilding.
  4. The Techno Classica exhibition in Germany is presenting some astonishing cars, including a 120-year nod to Mercedes Grand Prix cars. 220 shots here: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/gallery/38531/Mercedes-Benz-Grand-Prix-cars.html
  5. What is the length of the piano hinge?
  6. My thought was that transferring your Pocher experience to the 1/16 versions could help non-Pocher builders add incredible details to their 1/16 builds, from your examples. For people like me.
  7. I know you have the right Pocher kit for this, but the Gunze/ Anmark / Revell 1/16 1937 Rolls Phantom III saloon would also make an excellent shooting brake candidate for those who don't want to get into Pocher.
  8. Talk about getting down to brass tacks.
  9. Killer all around. Some of the best, cleanest chrome trim work I've ever seen.
  10. Line O Tape makes self-adhesive pinstripe chrome in a variety of widths, plus other finishes like brushed steel, gold, etc. Just Google Line O Tape. Making extreme curves might be difficult.
  11. Do the radiator shutters work? (manually, of course)
  12. I would love to see how you Pocher guys would transfer your experience to 1/16 kits like the Rolls Phantom II Continental and the Mercedes 540K.
  13. All of your experience on the 1/8 E-Type really shows here, especially the bracing in the bonnet. By the way, the hard-to-find Bandai 1/8, motorized and with the opening hatch, is on eBay for $1,120 (+ $107 shipping). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-BANDAI-1-8-JAGUAR-XK-E-New-in-Box-Motorized-kit-/251485434296?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3a8db331b8
  14. I vote for your next project to be the Pocher Rolls shooting brake.
  15. After the brass-era cars, I just wonder what your next obsession will be. But you still have plenty of kits to go, and I'm along for the ride.
  16. You're going to have to start your own Old Timers museum. Great color scheme, beautiful stuff.
  17. There's nothing like a very strong joint.
  18. Serves you right for your Wolseley Auto ID quiz.
  19. I thought I would NEVER want to see another Dodge Charger model again, but this is superb. Just the radio antenna shows such an incredible amount of attention to detail. Bravo.
  20. Looking great. Those Modelmotorcar parts seem worth the investment.
  21. Great work. The kit has the perfect color, but unfortunately there are lots of swirls in it.
  22. I was wondering about your new avatar, but I must say I find it very Reasonable.
  23. Sorry, I missed that you were talking about my link to Fine Art Models, which, indeed, are built in 1:5 scale.
  24. Terrific job., and I love the steering wheel. Very nice lettering on the tires. The wheels seem to have just the right amount of polished look in these photos -- did you do anything to tone down the "kit chrome" look? It's hard to tell from the photos, but why do the carpets appear to be sparkly?
