  1. Your latest post on the Pocher Sedanca thread in Big Boyz shows the blue question mark where the image of your springs should be, but the second image of a 1:1 chassis is fine. EDIT: Suddenly, it's there. Go figure.
  2. As I mentioned to Harry on the occasion of getting his new printer, a recent article I read said that the average price per ounce of printer ink is nearly twice the cost of Chanel No 5.
  3. Harry - something's haywire with the picture of your springs in #229. Can't see it or open it (blue question mark box) EDIT: It shows up now. Nice work.
  4. I thought you might be interested in this article on the new Plus 8 Speedster coming out in June. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/5877/Morgan-Plus-8-Speedster.html
  5. Just superb, all the way around.
  6. For modelers, the sedan and roadster are available in scale model kits, the sedan in a couple of scales and the roadster in 1:16. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-Entex-1937-Packard-Coupe-Roadster-1-16-Scale-Model-Kit-NO-RESERVE-/251507787506?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3a8f0846f2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-Entex-1937-Packard-Formal-Sedan-1-16-Scale-Model-Kit-NO-RESERVE-/251507793841?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3a8f085fb1
  7. All of this is well and fine, but if you just want a free, fast enter-and-click converter, just go to the bottom of this page and bookmark it: http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum/forum.php
  8. x2. I had a 1977 Alfetta GT, and have never been able to find a model larger than 1:43. As for wanting to own a 1:1, I bought mine new and (having owned 3 Alfas before), it reinforced my opinion that I must truly be a masochist.
  9. Really looking forward to this. I owned a 1966 Giulia 1600 Sprint Veloce for many years, and wish I still had it.
  10. Just checking in here as one of the hundreds of watchers who are pumping up the views on your build to an unrealistic level, according to comppwhatisizname, but this is superb. As your friend, I would only state that I agree with those who would encourage you to add the sleeves to your awesome springs. And I know you don't want to hear this, but you've spent so much with Model Motorcars already, I still think you should replace the fenders.
  11. Great work. I don't know how you 1/24-25 modelers do such wonderful detail.
  12. There are so many scale calculators available for free online, I don't understand why anyone would want to spend money on a program or, for math-challenged people like me, remember any kind of formula. But the calculator-based applications mentioned above couldn't be simpler.
  13. You can't go wrong by showing oil leaks on a vintage British car. I made a point of it in the 1/12 Bentley I built a couple of generations ago, and its oil pan is just plain nasty from the gasket down the fins. Thinking back on it, I would have mixed thinned paint with honey.
  14. If you have the Velocity channel on HD cable, the "Senna" documentary will be aired at 8 pm Eastern on Sunday, April 27th. Many of you are like me, thinking it's the best racing film ever made. It will be preceded by a documentary on "Hunt vs. Lauda" at 7 pm.
  15. The Druid Princess is obviously based on QE II's coronation coach. Just think how much street cred she would have today if she had gone to her coronation in that.
  16. On the road in France with some of the most legendary cars of the 50s through the 70s. 300-shot gallery here: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/event/334/2014-Tour-Auto.html
  17. Okay, Bob. Waiting for more detail on the rest of the car!
  18. I'd call the first one a P-U cruiser. (BTW, I finally got it Greg -- you're doing a Jeopardy version of your posts. Phrase the answer in the form of a question. )

    Dodge 440

Excellent craftsmanship all around, and the interior shown on your Fotki page is also great.
  20. Careful. Your post may be moved to the Q&A section. I haven't really noticed that, but someone had a recent General post where he seemed to be asking a question, but I and others couldn't tell what it was.
  21. You've had over 3,400 views in a month. I'd say that's pretty good for a forum that has a heavy accent on American muscle. Meanwhile, there are a lot of us who are learning from these experienced comments.
  22. Let's see... the 1:1 L88 goes for a bit over a million. So this model should go for 1:12 of that, right?
  23. Do you know how the 1/16 version compares to this?
