  1. This morning, Fotki says the pages are unavailable because they can't process them.
  2. Well, this is one of the stupidest topic moves I've ever seen. How is this not related to cars, which is the qualification for General? Ridiculous.
  3. Even though I've been professionally involved in NASCAR racing for over 30 years (but my favorite is F1), my new Sony 40" TV and home theater system have made all kinds of racing more exciting, with Dolby surround sound following cars from screen left to screen right. I also found that the old "Grand Prix" movie on DVD (originally released in the 60s in Super Panavision Cinerama with multichannel stereo -- yes, it was that advanced that many years ago) provides a similar experience. A new viewing experience for me at home, that opens up more interests.
  4. It gets better and better. Just saw this kit listed on eBay for $175 or best offer.

    Fiat 500

Nice job, but I'm really confused. Convertible? Cabriolet? Landau? What is it? Is this the same as the full convertible with no metal door frame parts on the topsides? Or do those metal door frame parts on this version retract somewhere? Or always stay that way?
  6. I totally agree, and I wouldn't let Harry's connection with the magazine get in the way.
  7. I'd think about sanding the edges of square wooden rod.

I think I understand the point, but... why?
  9. The Cadillac CTS beat out some stiff competition. http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/07/autos/cadillac-cts-motor-trend-car-of-the-year/index.html?hpt=hp_t3
  10. Hemmings Daily just did an article on this Lincoln build. Roger says the build will probably take 10 years in all. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2013/11/06/continental-mark-112-roger-zimmermans-amazing-scratchbuilding-skills/?refer=news
  11. Little Big Town got an award at the CMAs last night -- best vocal group. Beat out these guys: Vocal Group of the Year Eli Young Band Lady Antebellum WINNER: Little Big Town The Band Perry Zac Brown Band
  12. Great job. How about a video?
  13. An upfront $10 investment is peanuts compared to what the final product can be. As shown above, and especially in Ace's arcair link, this can be spectacular. You got a major deal on the kit price.
  14. So where did you get 1/8 Jaguar fenders? I'm familiar with the 1/16 SS100, and I have a larger battery-operated version of undetermined scale.
  15. There was also a Heller version of this car (not related to the Merit/Smer kit) with fully dimenionsal wheels, though a bit klunky.
  16. These assembled wheels come in different diameters as shown in the listing, and he will sell in multiples. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-hand-laced-wire-spoked-wheels-for-GP-sports-cars-fully-assembled-sets-of-2-/121194593083?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item1c37c2bb3b

  18. That would be Plastheniker (Jurgen).

  20. I think it depends on the year and model. This was identified as being from the '78 catalog.
  21. Once again, a masterpiece. In the 60s, this was one kit I wanted to throw against the wall because of the complications of a multipiece body and slow-drying Testors tube glue, but you have totally nailed it. I believe it was re-issued a year or so ago by Revell.
