I believe Laski decals has re placement rivots that will give you a more in scale look. I have used the louvers in the same way. good luck.

before you get too far along, the interior of the car is the same as the exterior, French, only the door panels( upholstery) is black. Dash, steering wheel is also black. you are thinking way too hard, these were really basic cars, with the exception of some "acid dipped " body panels. Great model will finish up to your liking.

Just found thread, and as always, I'm amazed at all the great Mercs. The stock, mild customs, and most of the wild custom, if its a 49-51 mercs. I've seen "chopped" channeled frenched lowered and just about anything that can be done to a merc, but rarely have I seen a Merc, with the dip taken out of the door.
