  1. Jim I am sorry it was so hot today, I think my eyeballs are burnt too.. I wish I was up in DC, I didn't spend enough time talking with my Grandfather about his time in the Military or the time he was a POW, though I am thankful he was still alive when I was able to read his well I don't know the word, he dicated what he wanted wrote about his time in Germany...
  2. Lisa I am so happy you and Lenny were able to come... LOL it did me good to have a non builder there to understand my looks
  3. Thanks Brandon I'm going to send them to ya later tonight.. Plan on early November for the next run! LOL
  4. First off thank you Jim and Brandon! It was HOT and a lot to go through in a short time (4 hours) and not all the boxes were sorted.. I honestly could NOT have done it with out you!! It is a toss up who had the most fun... I enjoyed watching the guys faces when they first got there as they looked around. I also enjoyed the laughter from my mom and Brandon's mom as they listened to the guys talk about the models and the noises they made when they found one they really liked LOL... A lot of you all were mentioned and some models set aside, I just can't remember which one's and who wanted them hahaha... You as a group have earned the respect of 2 really good guys and one slightly off chick. I took some pictures before the guys got to storage but totally forgot to take any more until we were almost done. I'll have to send those to Brandon to post on here because I still can't figure out the photobucket thingiemauhbobbie. I'm probably going to do this again early November.. I am going to get a table at the Turkey Rod Run here in town and will need help once more before that... Anyone who wants to come on by then let me know. Thank you again guys! you both are amazing people I am kinda glad I fugged up and posted in the other section. I need to add this I still am a dink, you ask if I have something, I still don't know if I do or not LOL.. I am sorry, you can ask the 2 men who were with me today, they'll tell you it is the truth.. I really know slightly less then NOTHING about cars LOL.

  7. I have fun in there, I believe everyone knows i'm funning when I say will Elmers glue work.. 99% of everyone have been fabulous the 1% doesn't really matter because everyone else is all that and an apple pie.. I hope your family recovers from your loss soon James.. you will be in my thoughts!
  8. I thiink George understands me too! LOL I already know you do.. blah
  9. Oh man James I am sorry to hear about your house! I hope no one was hurt in the fire.. No my father passed away in '96.. I joined this forum in May because I needed advice and Stayed because I have made some great friends and as you can see by George evidently I've been assimulated back into a builder after 20 years.
  10. haha George you crack me up!
  11. I have found the model I will build...... I just can not remember what it is.. it is a '66 something.. Sigh.. Don't laugh at me.. okay you can laugh but don't tell me you laughed hahaha
  12. I have a question about wll ya know blah blah.. but really my question is about the Blah... no one really explains the Blah
  13. Hi Bob I don't think I have it bad.. I have it confused.. My father passed away in '96, all of his models evidently a low number 3,000 were packed up by us and have been in storage since '97.... My fathers Daughter (ME) who knows next to nothing about cars is selling them, an interesting road to say the least.. How can I send your friend an email? he may like a lil atta boy, you can do it! I know that is what gets me through, though its *atta girl, you can do it*
  14. well just let me know if you can make it, should be a lot of fun, the guys digging through the models really not getting to much done and me watching them laughing LOL.
  15. put me on payroll Brandon I'll find it for ya LOL
  16. Thank you everyone for your input. Harry I tried emodels... and I will try it again eventually when I have more time to fiddle with it.. however it seems not everyone is inclined to pay for what they bid and won on that site. I spent a month trying to get a guy to pay for 4 models, I emailed the site asking for help on the issue.. how long would i have to wait, how could i just end the deal and never got a reply from them.. the guy should have paid he would have gotten a 2 jo-hans for $40... I don't list all of the models at a low starting price, I still have to cover the cost of ebay and paypal, plus make a lil cash for myself, pesky puter won't work with out electricity haha. and My ebay ID is Turtle_Rancher Thank you all once again
  17. but where is the fun in bidding if i do that? just curious how that would be better. one auction house or re seller may see it first.
  18. Thank you again for posting the *how to build* topic. I really enjoyed it! Oh I am not going to lie I really liked when the jo-han went for $179 I had homeowners ins due the next week. but I also happy when I read my messages saying how very happy they are with what they have gotten and really it is who's watching that week.. I'm a little tweeked I enjoy making people happy
  19. Ed I love thrift stores! The models have kept me from going to them.... I am going this week for sure! and Ed I'm poor, I could sell these models for well more then they are going for, but ya know something.. I think this is the way to go making people happy in a very small way... about the bills I hear ya would be cheaper to rent then own in Florida.......... I hope you are doing well
  20. I just love seeing these.. Thank you!
  21. that was amazing! thank you so very much for posting it. I have been reading a lot of the posts trying to figure out what to do when I do start to build again.. Is there a chance you'll be posting the first model you built when this one is finished? thank you once again!
  22. Yes but not for listing them for 1 cent. I know what its like when you find something you are looking for and have a chance to actually win it.. I bid on a Swarovski crystal Elephant once for a baby shower give, if you didn't know an elephant with the truck up is good luck, it is suppose to face the door to help out all the bad vibes... anyway I remember that feeling of actually haveing a chance of wining one when I list. oh and I got it for $30 a steal! It is all about supply and demand and who is looking that week, one very happy guy got a model for 99 cents yesterday. I figured I'd go ahead and explain why I do it, only one of ya'll have asked if I was insane and he doesn't bid hahaha. I hope everyone is haveing a wonderful Labor Day!! Be safe
  23. just like everything else, keep your eyes open.. yahoo pulled up way more of them for sale then my aol search did. sigh off to ebay i goooooo. list list list ugh hahaha.. I'm putting a snap semi on today, should be interesting to see if anyone wants it
  24. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry170940 too funny I switched toyahoo to search when AOL came back with nothing but the ebay ones and lookie where I found someone who built one or is building one...... right here haha
