reading all these posts and watching the beautiful work that is done makes me remember my dad and all the stuff he did, how he loved his models, each was his baby, when he was working on one it got all of his attention.. detail was what it was all about, customizing, creating something new from what you already had left over in a box or sneeked from another model.. I know that his models are going for the most part to very loving homes, that is what makes me keep plugging on here. It would have been very easy for me to just sell to a dealer who would have jacked up the price.. I couldn't bring myself to do that. I open a box that isn't sealed touch the parts look at the instructions take the pictures to list it, feel the rush to build one again.. then close the box and list it. I don't get that rush while listing the sealed boxes.. strange.. lol sorry for the girl moment, but I am a girl..... I have to say everyone of you that I was able to see a model in progress or built has done beautiful work Thank you for sharing! I'll let you all know when the rush when I open a box takes over. Thank you for letting me have a place to come to.

I've seen some of what you've built.. does my voice count as not a builder? No but I'll share it anyway ... some great art you have going on there.. I wish I could make a comment on 90% of the posts I read but the truth is, I have no clue what they are talking about for the most part LOL... still fun to read.... I promise if you post some more I will comment on them + -
I found one in storage the other day in one of my dad's *white box* models that had a simular paint theme uh they didn't come anywhere near the perfection that you did!

Model Car Conventions or Shows in Florida?
Lyn replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hi Scott, I don't built myself, or at least I am not building yet haha. the last 2 months I've touched 500+ models and I'm feeling the itch.. What i am looking for is information, I was hoping if I went to a show I could get face to face help. Is your show just a show or are there going to be buying booths too? thank you, Lyn -

AMT Ertl Snapfast has some very easy ones. I have a few listed on ebay right now. I pulled them down after I read your post. One has 28 parts and one has 40 parts, the one I gave Dalton from my post was a Snapfast. so you can look them up here are the names. purolator Chevrolet Model# 8722 Lamborghini Diablo Model# 8710 I have a monogram Snaptite, it doesn't list a parts count though. Turbo Camaro Model# 1419 If you have some sort of car in mind let me know I can look in storage and give you a parts count and model number so you can look them up. How awesome that you are building with your Grandkids. post pictures

it may be unbelievable, but I have built models myself... How could I not with who was my dad lol.. Do you all involve your daughters in it? I am just curious because it just seemed as natural as breathing to me when I was a kid.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share this with you and also thank you for being very patient with me. I know I don't exactly fit in here but each of you has helped me more then I can say in your own way, notes, seeing your models and kind words... so thank you once again....... My Nephews were down for 5 weeks this summer visiting my brother.. He doesn't have them for their birthdays so we threw a duel party for them.. I gave the kids who attended a snap model... Dalton build his and his Mother Wendy sent me a picture of it.... Dalton I believe is Autistic though I never asked if that was it because to me it never really mattered he's an awesome kid with a very creative nature. Wendy sent me a note saying her husband sat down with Dalton one night and built the truck, she said they both had a blast!!!........ and this is why I am sharing http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/ac256/l...ithhismodel.jpg I hope this works!

Lyn replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thank you both for answering Dad was very detailed in his models, there are boxes of parts, engines, bodies, bottoms, wheels, tires and so on and so on... I guess it makes sence why he'd buy several of these. Or maybe he just wanted them LOL -
Hi Everyone! I just listed one of these on ebay and the instructions gave me a headache trying to figure it out haha. Has anyone owned one of these? I can't figure out what actually is the parts list on the instructions. Any help would be wonderful! Thank you oops Might help to tell you what it is huh? It says blueprinter stock no. 8158 grilles and engins parts pack.
