  1. Good tip on the future. Works well with installing headlight lens also. On the tires I use a little micro sol decal solvent also.
  2. Both slixx and scale modeling by Chris have nice tire decals. Just put a little dull coat over them and I think they look darn good.
  3. Looking really good! Like others here and as I am doing, try touching up first and then if you are not happy off the the purple pool. When you drilled the distributors what type of vise and magnifier do you like to use. I tried to drill them but just could not see well enough. You did an outstanding job.
  4. Wow! I have the same resin body and have been work my tail off on it for weeks trying to get it into shape. How does you front grille and head lights fit? And do you have any thoughts on the tail lights? It is awesome to see someone else working on one of these. What paint are you going with? Being me I am doing a Sox & Martin car. Here is a photo of the car before I started. Please keep us posted!
  5. That is a really cool combo! Well done.
  6. Thanks for the kind words. The dark green is Dupli-Color auto spray. I am not even sure what color it is. It was just the best looking dark green that the auto parts store had. The roof is testors acyclic teal. No good hobby shops near here so I go to the parts store.
  7. Looking GREAT! Puts mine to shame! I just have had no luck building a nice Duster. Something always goes wrong. Keep us posted, I love this car!
  8. It was a Johan kit from ebay. I just kept my eyes out for one that the price did not go through the roof. They made a stock one and a police version. This was the stock version. Thanks!
  9. A true work of art,simply stunning.
  10. With help of friends teaching me how to make simple decals I made the lettering and the goofy roof decal.
  11. Here is one I did for a contest on another board. It is a different type of build for me and my first attempt at a Gasser. The photos do not show the interior but it came with molded in seats so I had to cut them out and put in a flat floor. Same with the chassis as everything was molded in so it had to be cut out and replaced. Thanks for looking.
  12. Great job! Man it looks absolutely stunning. Well Done.
  13. Great Job! I think it looks great! I like the Pontiac power plant!
  14. Why are you posting your reference photos of the real car? Just kidding! Another work of art my friend! Well done indeed!
  15. Body work is looking good. That has always been tough for me. Keep us posted!
  16. Yep MPC 71 Roadrunner had the add on parts to make a phantom 71 Superbird.
  17. Yep It started life as the Yankee Challenger. It is molded as a convertible and has a vinyl top that is a separate part glued in place.
  18. All done. This was an experiment that got out of control. Playing around with different ways to detail the engine and body work practice getting rid of the vinyl roof. The paint is not right for the 1970 car so it is kind of a mutt. Thanks!
  19. This one is another winner! Those wheels are outstanding and are the finishing touch on a great looking car.
  20. I have been using a canon pixma MP560 ink jet to print my decals. I use decal paper designed for the ink-jet printer. After allowing the ink to dry you clear coat it a few times to protect the ink. I set the printer settings to photo, glossy paper, and vivid photo in the different set up screens. The results have been mixed but over all I am happy. You have to use white backed paper to get any type of color coverage on dark cars. Just change the background color to match the car color. I still have tons to learn as I am just getting started.
  21. I learned it from this very board. Just black washed them with black detailer.
  22. A great car with great history. You did a superb job. A work of art.
  23. I changed it by using a couple of MAD distributors joined at the shaft.
  24. Yep. The early Pro Stockers(I Think Dick Landy was the first to do the twin plug heads) were a T shaft and later ones were mounted side by side. Thanks!
  25. The only one I have seen is a short track car from Fred's resin. http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com/P1040136%20%28Small%29.JPG
