I found this one from a link on ebay to a online shop in Japan. Still some detail work I want to do on it, but overall I am happy. They were very nice and answered my emails quickly and I had no troubles buying the kit, shipping was not that bad either. I had it in less then 2 weeks airmail. The tuner import guys could find some neat stuff here too. http://www.gogo-boy.com/ Thanks

Found it at a online shop in Japan. It was a motorized curb side thing at the start. Thanks

Hello All This is an odd ball I have been working on for some time. It is based on the Dodge Challenger they ran just before the Omni. It ran in the AFX class in NHRA with a destroked 406 Hemi and Pro Stock else where with a 437ci Hemi. Hope you guys like it. Thanks for looking!

Thank you all. The Challenger in the back ground is still unfinished as I have yet to decide how to do the thin pin striping around the body colors.

Looks Good! My favorite year of nascar.

I am sorry to hear that. Your build is true eye candy. Well Done!

I hope he does re-post as this car is just incredible. The photos in the under glass section were simply amazing. I was going to show it to my wife but it was deleted. I noticed a new member screen name lugnuts left some odd posts in different areas and they have been deleted also. I hope to see this photos of build again.

On line Slixx decals????
caine440 replied to Len Geisler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Slixx's service is great and they have a lot more then just decals on their site. I am not sure if they take paypal, if they do then that is the way to go. -
On line Slixx decals????
caine440 replied to Len Geisler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I do believe model express takes paypal and has a very large selection of decals. http://modelexpress.net/cgi-bin/modelexpress/shop/index.html -
Purchased a chill factor olds pro stocker recently to use the chassis and tires for another project and was surprised to find the rear slicks are as small as the ones that came on early MPC pro stock cars. They are 1/2 inch wide and under an 1 1/4 tall. This makes the rear tires useless for my project. Anyone else seen this in other Pro Stock kit? Thanks

I think they look Great. Keep us posted. The colors are really outstanding.

Thank you all for your kind words. It seems I learn something new every time I log on this site. Could not find the Novis polish around here but will be looking at picking some up on line. Did start using Treehugger Dave's tips on this build. Wanted to use a clear lacquer on it but the weather has turned cold and nasty so I tried future on it as I can spray it in the apartment and not get killed by my loving wife. Then polished it out with Meguiar's #7 glaze. The finished build is posted in the drag racing section. Again, thank you.

It is finished Hope you guys like it. Thanks for looking!

I do not post to many WIP photos but I thought I would share this one before I button it up. I lost the coil or the motor would be done. I will have to make one to finish it up along with a missing tail light. Both the front and rear windows were scuffed badly and this was my first try ever at polishing out clear plastic. The decal came out ok though they could have been better. Thanks for looking

That is a great old kit. My dad built both way back when they were first issued. I like what you did with the rear slicks and the paint looks great. Thanks for posting

Your Favorite Car Chases!
caine440 replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I go with the old school Vanishing point and bullitt. I'll throw in Brewster McCloud with the chase that included (my favorite) 1970 Roadrunner, 70 1/2 Z28, AMC Gremlin X, and finally a Fury police car. Add one of the strangest and I thought funniest endings ever and for once the Mopar is not wrecked at the end. Dirty Mary & Crazy Larry is also up on my list. -
Yep, you are right Walter. The MPC kits have the stock Duster wheel well openings and chassis I did not have the heart to modify this one. I have a resin kit planned that has the correct rear wheel wells as well as an dart to duster conversion I am plying with now that has more tire clearance. Thanks for the input and I am jealous of your autograph from Ronnie.

Yep I saw it off netflix. I remember it in the theaters but did not get to see it at the time.

2010 Dodge Charger Concept (update 10/03/09)
caine440 replied to Peter Lombardo's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This is incredible, I am reading and looking at your photos and I still can not believe how great this is turning out. You have no fear and boy is it paying off. Keep posting! Thanks! -
Hello All I am going to be putting decals on a Dick Landy Dodge Dart soon and wanted to pick the collective brain power of the board for hints. I had to fight the last set of large decals I put on. I do use a decal set and decal solvent but I am not sure if I am using them correctly as the last set wrinkled on me. Any input would as always be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
