  1. Thanks I always thought the Hood scoop that MPC used on this one looked odd but being a 30 year old kit I did not have the heart to cut it up. I am planning on getting a Duster from reliable resin to make one closer to the real thing. I know these cars are not as popular as others on this and other forums but they are the cars I love the most.
  2. I understand what you are saying. The builds here are unreal in their detail. Sometimes I think one of mine turned out good till I see one here and then I ponder taking over my wife's scrapbooking hobby and see if I am better at that ( Nooooo , I do not even understand the theory behind scrapbooking). I agree with the others here to build for yourself. Make what makes you happy. Like so many now I am going through a bit of a rough patch and having been using this hobby to stay sane, though I am not sure it is working completely And have been having real fun building cars I always wanted to build when I was younger. Just keep having Fun!
  3. Hello I bought this kit as a builder off ebay. It was painted all red and covered in fish eyes. Some parts were missing such as the grill, roll cage , and part of the hood scoop. I used a different motor and rear slicks. I am waiting on a roll cage and am thinking about changing the grill to one with clear tinted head lights so it is not completed yet. The body is not attached so I can get to the interior to add the roll cage. Thanks Thanks
  4. Very clean. Nice work.
  5. Just a quick look at two Cudas I am playing with now. Thanks
  6. Hello All It is just about done. I am waiting on some clear blue tinted head lights and I think that will be it. Thanks
  7. There is a 2005 toyota Funny car body on ebay right now.
  8. Sorry for dragging up this old post. I was really looking at some of the pro street chassis on ebay but from the responses here I will look else where. Does anyone else make pro street or drag chassis like these? I would make my own but I am all out of extra chassis and still have bodies looking for a home. Thanks!
  9. Very cool, nicely done.
  10. There is an all white chevy like this here where I live. When he is driving it sits low but all is normal. When he parks it to show it off he drops it right to the ground and it looks just like the model photos here. I do not know anything about lowriders and such but I just guessed it was an air bag set up. Then I could be totally wrong.
  11. Nicely done! I love the motor.
  12. Very nice looking build. I have the new Challenger on my to do list. Yours has a lot of good ideas.
  13. If by aftermarket wheels you mean resin wheels regular model glues will not work. A epoxy or CA glue. will. I use an extra thick CA I get at a hobby shop near home.
  14. I like it, very cool build.
  15. Wow! Very Very nice!
  16. Thanks Everyone! I think I have a game plan now.
  17. Once scrubbed clean in the wonderful purple pond of super clean I just thoroughly rinse in warm water and dry. I have never used brake fluid so I am not sure on that subject.
  18. Hello Thanks for your reply's. The part was resin and I primed it with plastikote. Maybe I sprayed it on to heavy as this is the first time I have used both this paint and this airbrush.
  19. I used an airbrush. I wonder if it is because The color I used (aluminium plate) needs to be buffed and what you have used is non buffing. I am just guessing. Thanks!
  20. I did not realize that testors metalizer never dries to the touch. Now after removing sliver finger prints from all over the body of the Cuda I am working on I need to find out how to seal the metalizer paint. Can I use any clear lacquer or do I have to use the testors metalizer sealer? Your thoughts?
  21. Love the engine detail! Great work.
  22. Our Chrysler Jeep has been great ( As has our Concorde)and we will be buying another one when the time comes. Though I hope a Challenger R/T is in the works before a replacing the Jeep. But more on topic, the Jeep in the photo is painful to look at.
  23. It is from the Mustang II Fire fighter pro stock. I picked up two on ebay to kit bash with.
  24. Updated. I changed the front wheels, added the roll cage and did some body detailing. I think the roll cage is hitting the body raising it a little to much. Still a long way to go.
  25. Very nice. A underrated muscle car, I always had respect for them.
