GREAT Show! There are a couple of chargers on ebay right now. I have this one planned as a build down the road. -
Great work! That is one of the best looking small block mopars I have seen.

Pro-Stock "Glass" Clean Up For New Decals
caine440 replied to Build Up Boy's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hello I do not know if this will work the way you want, but I use super clean to remove paint from old kits to redo them. I have had the clear plastic windshields come out nice and clean and clear after soaking the car body over night. in this case the I left the glass in the body as it was glued in in a way that I wanted to see what it looked like under the paint before removing it. It might take that factory paint off and not harm the clear plastic. -
Hello Here is a link that allows for a search link of resin vendors I like to use. Just type in what you are looking for and it will do the work for you. http://www.rocketfin.com/resin_search_resu...search=plymouth

You have inspired me. I like the look of yours much better. I am going to redo the chassis to get the proper size tires to fit. I have a set from a 1/24 Bob Glidden T Bird that I might be able to fit with lots of cutting. Thanks
-
I look forward to seeing your photos. I am still trying to get the back tires correct as these are to small. The body is from a mpc kit. I have seen Don's on ebay but wanted to try this one first. If I can not get this one to look right I might try one from Don.

I love it, great work!

Hola The Body and other bits are from a mpc street machine Cuda that I got off eBay half assembled. The engine, hood, wheels, back tires, wheelie bars, and a few other bits are resin. The engine compartment fender walls I cobbled together from other spare parts I have left over from on going projects. I have a original mpc Motown Missile kit unassembled but I am saving it to hand down to my son or daughter when the time comes LOL. Thanks

Hello I have a project I am gathering parts for and ran into a photo of the cars interior. I have seen many Cudas at the mopar nationals but none with this color combo. Any thoughts on what colors to use to paint it to match? It almost looks silver gray and white. Thanks

This one has a loooong way to go, it is a little ugly right now. Thanks

Hello I finally finished this one. I did not get the side windows put in but I wanted to move on. I still might add clear headlights and revisit the window issue at a later time. Thanks

Looking good.

Very cool. At some point I will give a new challenger kit a try. Great job! Have a Great day

Hello I have been avoiding the newer releases of both the Cuda and Challenger as the Bodies and grill areas simply look horrible wrong. I have been grabbing up old mpc and johan bodies for future projects. I am trying a resin body of a 70 Cuda along with a conversion kit to change a 71 Sox & martin kit to a 70. Have a Great Day

That makes good sense. The rims on the car are resin, primered and sprayed with gold enamel. I will try it on some spares I have.= till I get it right. Thanks! Have a Great day.

Hello I have never used a wash. Hate to be dumb but what is it and what does it do? Any before and after photos out that there?
-
Hello Thought I would share what little progress I have made on these projects. I changed the Cuda's front wheels to be closer to correct fenton rims, pulled the roll bar inside the car as it was sticking out the windows, and added the inside gold fenders and radiator supports to the engine bay. All these improvements came from the observations of board members here. I never even noticed the dumb roll bar sticking out. Thanks! I tried like crazy to put side windows in it using clear plastic from a office supply store but had no luck and was afraid of messing up the paint on the body. I will try again when my blood pressure returns to normal. The Challenger has new bumpers that still need placed properly. I am torn between continuing the build on it as is or changing the tires and chassis to something more like what I have on the Cuda. Have a Great Day.
