I have to comment here . This look is new and cool . The Pheaton idea was to hold lotsa passengers . I don't think the coupe would . Unless of course it is Friday or Saturday night at the Drive Inn . Did I just say that ?? Any wat , just right . Thanx ..

It is a real model . It is not marking it's territory . Leaking oil to make the mark . Thanx ..

I missed hauling the GNX's . Before the Buick GNX , I hauled a New Experimental powed plant in a Buick (with the clamshell hood like Saabs) . It was a FF2 and surprising fast . I hauled it from out East to my home Terminal . This was the 1984 MY . I wonder where this engine went as far as a production Engine ?? Thanx ..

I have more to add . Would you like to sell me some of that paint to reduce your cost ? To make it clear , I would buy this conversion . Thanx ..

This is the Original Release of this kit . I bought it in the winter of 1962 during a terrible snow storm . "How bad was it ?" Bad enough the Schools closed . I tredged to the Drug Store after a phone call to verify it was available to buy there . My Paper Route was cancelled too due from the Storm. In the day , this was not a common thing . The Snow was up to my thighs . I was and am almost 6' . Drifting was of course deeper. It was shortly after the Cuban missle Crisis this storm occured . This is a grear kit . The instructions should show you how to build a Board Track , Hulligan's Car . Along with Customizing tips from 1:1 Builders . Names such as George Barris , The Alexander Brothers ect. They would advise you what parts to wrangle from current kits to make that just right custom touch . Thanx ..

Nice work . Excellent conversion . Just right . About the color . I always use <tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary> . It shows color chips . I wish to share this information . For those not knowing how and about Paint mixing . The "Metallic" is actully little flakes of Aluminum Flakes . These flakes end up in a mixed random positions in the dried paint . Some are flat , at angles to the surface , and on their sides . This is what the "Shimmering" in the dried finish is all about . When you buy 1:1 Auto Touch up , you get full sized flakes . When you buy colors mixed for Models , the flakes are much smaller . MCW is an example of this . As far as the immediate Post War metallics , the 'flakes' went obsolete in the '50' as the new Aluminum Flakes were superior . I used paint mixing charts from the '60's and '50's . The '50's book stated "paints mixed from these formulas will not match original finishes . Complete refinsh is required . I have found over time the finishes I have looking too shiney have toned down over time . BTW , any metallic will not exactly match for touch up or spot repairs .This is why painters in Body Shops are an asset to the shop . The exact finish could only be met if the tempeture , humidy , paint mix , and consisty is exact . Painters have learned to compesate for this . Oops , I forgot , the Paint gun has to be the same along with the setting of the gun . I hope this helps . I hope also I didn't overexplain . Thanx .. :unsure

Outstnading . Great builds . I gathered all these Roth cars just before he passed . RIP . I think I had talked to him at a Car show in Cleveland Oh. He was nuts and creative . If it wasn't him , someone as far out as he . He startted to build cars to get into the shows for free . He wanted the free pass to sell his Rat Fink stuff and Air Brushed Shirts . A pioneer in that area . Thanx ..

I looked this over and didn't comment . I cannot keep up with the posts here so I limit myself in order to see all . Yeah , how's that working ? Any way , this is jusr right . The houndstooth is excellent . Where did you get it please ? The engine with the Aluminum heads is spot on . Where did you source the Chambered Exhaust . it was offered on a few Performance cars (GM) in 1969 as an option . I worked in the Muffler Factory whom made them . We were prohibited to make replacement parts . I was starteled to see this . Thanx ..

Nice build . If this is a Factory Stock and not a repaint , the roof would be black . It would sell in the Northern States . Not down South , these were the days before A/C was popular . Please keep them coming . Excellent buil;d , the headlights will be Ok in a few years . Thanx ..

The '58 Ford driven by Benny Parsons would have the brand new FE Engine . The roundy pounders always had the latest engines . Still do ...lol . You have a good looking Y Block there . It is 312 cid , the FE is 332 . I am watching this with interest . If you only need the body , Modelhaus is the way to go . IMHO . Thanx ..

I agree with more Studebakers . I haven't talked to any caster regretting making Studs as part of their product line . That is when I used to see these people . I have wanted the '55 President Speedster since 1955 when my Father and I went to see the new Studs that year . Lemon / Lime for me . Someone is making a '56 President currently . I wish I could remember who it is . I found it on <rocketfin.com/model_car_links> . The Hawks , yes . The later Daytonas (Lark) yes . Keep them coming . Thanx .. -
I still wouldn't want to ride it . It is a great build ..Thanx ..

If You Build It, They Will Come!
dimaxion replied to Swifster's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
In '76 I owned a '69 Charger & a '59 Lark . Being stupid I broke the both rear leaf springs on the Stud . I was bummed out enough then the Charger ate it's Radiator . I wasn't working and had to scrap the Stud to fix the Charger . I cried as it was crushed . I am still not over it . I was in the Hobby as the Resins started . I bought a John Hier '64 Hawk . An AAM '62 Hawk . A H C Miller '56 Hawk . I missed his '60 & '61 Lark Convertebles . I did recently get a '64 Hawk I am converting to a '63 . I'll take all the Studs you offer . I have AAM's 56 President . I would even buy a TKM if he offered one I don't have . I forgot , I have the MCW '60 Lark HT kits . One I have converted to a '61 . I also forgot the '52 Stud Pace Car . It was done by a deceased caster . RIP . And last and not least , the AAM '54 Connestoga . Modelhaus has the parts for the '61 Lark . Thanx .. -
