If the Avanti was trying to imitate the Corvette , that idea just isn't so . Studebaker made the best car they or anyone could in that class of car . It is always true for a Halo Car . It is mentioned about Studebaker's quality . You take an assembly line and entire plant if worker using steel for generations . Give them Fiberglass . The rules are different . You can't align up body panels with a Hammer . The fiberglass shatters . GM always had quality issus . Let's let that go from there . Corvair anyone ? Avanti sought and secured (I am not sure if the number) many LSR for a closed Sport Fiberglass Peroduction Vehicle . I bekieve some still stand today . The Avganti was built to compete in the Grand Turismo arena of world class cars . Corvette wasn't . Corvette didn't get there until the '80's . Please don't forget the Kaiser Darrin . Auctully , Corvette did hasten the demise of the Avanti . it increased the orders for new bodies a large amount . The one anmd only fiberglass body parts producer in Astubula , Oh . was overwelmed . Studebaker got what they got . Unsold and prepaid orders not fullfilled tend to make customers go elsewhere . BTw , the Avanti stayed in production from 1962 until 1987 . It was owned by many trying to give the Avanti a Market . All failed not meeting demand and Quality issues . MY 2 cents . Nice Stud . Thanx ..

Excellent build . I cannot think of anything that is not already in the responses . Thanx ..

Me too .. A 35 Ford would be nice, someone mentioned a 38 Ford. Early Racing Classics does a 39 standard which is very close to a 38 Deluxe. Does anyone have a Banjo Steering wheel from Replicas and Minitures of Maryland ? I want to know how accurate is for these ear Fords . I have one of these . It is a good casting . I am able to scratch the missing stock parts to make a Factory Stock . Thanx ..

I don't have the foggiest idea ?????

Excellent build . Nice job on the skull . Well done . Thanx ..

Studebaker was making V/8s while Chevy was still slugging out the Stovebolt . Four model years before the SBC . Why would anyone remove a Perfectly good Stude V/8 capable of 700 + HP on Pump Gasoline ? It had to be well abused and clapped out and finished . Excellent build . Thanx ..

All of these are quite well done . The Red on is a '64 . The slots on the front fenders make it a '63 or '64 . The Flat hood makes it a '64 . The '63's have a grille grate on either side of the middle "hump" . This is for only Factory stock identification . Miodified vehicles ....Thanx ..

The 928 was a sensation . First clean sheet , absolutly . The model here only needs a cleanup and polish . You are keeping these builds in the original appearances ? Nice build . Thanx ..

Nice build . Is this an Aussie Car ? What is it and what modifications did you do please ? Thanx .. -
Cool build . Right off the pages of "Rod and Custom' in the day . Everything just right . Thanx ..

The early kits were only conversions . Thick , mostly slushcast was the norm . Quality improved . I still will get a TKM Kit if I want the Subject . The price is low , the work is great . The results , I value builds I struggle with more than a straight out of the box project . Everyone has and is entitled to an opinion . This Forum and the others are for expressing Opinions . New builders are warned and accomplished builders are made aware . It is 'my' opinion : I don't ever expect a Resin to be like an Injected Model . Hand Made is hands down more work to build and has flaws . The good part is you get what you want . These people provide the niches the Manufacturing Giants won't and can't . The latest resins I have been getting are very close to boxed kit quality . Thank you for reading this . Thanx ..

I was in this Hobby from 1958 until I was talked out in 1978 . I got back in 1984 . This was the years of all the makers , Revelle , Monogram , AMT , MPC , and the imports were creating problems . It had been an Industry Standard to make the kits .040 thick plastic . This is the days of the raw material prices escalting . So ...some well educated fool decided for thinner plastic . SAE ran articles how to fix and how to send for replacement bodies . At that point , it was a bad idea and abanded . Then came resins .

AN Excellent model . There , I said it . Thanx ..

The '34 Ford you refer to is a Victoria . I don't remember the body number . I would like to see a '65 Chrysler 300 Letter Car (L) again added to the available models . Thanx .. -
I agree . Nice looking piece . Thanx ..
