  1. I've seen people working on one, but I've never actually seen one for sale. BTW adding the grill is not the only thing that makes it a 98-05. There is A LOT more than that, TRUST me.
  2. Wow that is awesome! That's what a hummer SHOULD look like! Great looking build.
  3. Um he didn't build that, I have two of those diecasts sitting around that I stripped for parts.
  4. I have been wanting to get a 50 Chevy for awhile, but always pushed back the thought, but I'm getting 1 when it comes out!
  5. I just did this, wasen't hard at all. measure twice, cut once As for a model of my first car, kinda lol. 99 gmc Sonoma ext cab, but the amt model is based on a reg cab 94, which is quite different. I will make it someday, just don't feel my skills are there yet.
  6. Thanks guys. I'm having lots of fun building it. The trailer won't be added to the truck, I just wanted to see what it would look like towing the bronco.
  7. So I got a quick update on this one guys. So I shaved the trim on the tail gate, and I'm still working on finishing the sides of the truck. I made a roll pan for it, and a tonneau cover out of styrene. I hinged it too, but it needs to be glued on. I shaved the vent windows on the doors to give it a cleaner look. I filled alot of holes like in the doors, bumper etc to make it look alot better. I'm kinda leaning towards a metallic red on this build, but we'll see. The roof still needs some more work: Just for fun I put a trailer and the 81 bronco behind it, but the bronco is 1/25 and the f150 is 1/24 so they don't look right together. and a AMT 68 Camaro on a revell 69 chassis: Thanks for looking.
  8. Hey Thanks guys. Color wise I'm kinda leaning towards a metallic red, not too dark and not too light, but we'll see. I haven't done much to this build lately, but I did start the body work and I hinged a tonnu cover I made for it. Once my camera charges I'll post some pics. Here's the "blueprint", or plan, it's not finished yet, so I'll update it as I get more done to it, but for now I got it lowered and shaved the front bumper. Say tunned for more soon!
  9. On the front of this I cut out the engine mount, cause it was way too low, and chopped the springs down to seem like lowering springs. On the rear I moved the axle on top of the leave springs, and put some blocks under there. It really depends on the truck and the style of build you are going for, be more specific and we could help you out better.
  10. Nice zr2! They are hard to find in good shape for a good price. Btw it's Sonoma, not sanoma. I know people spell it wrong all the time, no big deal. I really like your truck though!
  11. Why limit the years from 67-74? There was Camaro's, and mustangs made after that, and even the new charger counts(even though it's a 4 door).
  12. This thing is sweet. Full airride suspension and has a supercharger. It was converted to rwd, but they converted it back to fwd for some reason. This van is more of a show vehicle then a race car, but it looks awesome. More info about it can be found here: http://www.truckinweb.com/brandpages/dodge/0608tr_2003_custom_dodge_caravan/index.html
  13. Yea I was planning on leaving the grill chrome. I woulda left the bumper chrome too if it wasn't so messed up. It just depends on the style of truck for me, chrome or no chrome looks good.
  14. I like this thing, just cause it looks awesome, wood grain and all
  15. I'm using the kit one that was stripped because there was a huge run in the chrome undercoat. As for the bed length I have no clue, I used my eyes and reference pics when I cut it lol.
  16. Thanks guys! I am a chevy guy, but I really like this style of ford trucks.
  17. OK thanks man, I'll see what I decide to do. So I got a update on this! I got the bed cut and glued together, the frame in one piece(extra plastic will be removed and the joint will be cleaned up), and I got the suspension where I want it. The rear needs to come apart again so I can add some blocks because as of right now the axle is glued to the frame lol. I plan on adding a roll pan and a tonneau cover. BTW The bed lines up with the cab very good, just the pics make it look like it don't fit right. Thanks for looking.
  18. Ok thanks. I'll see what I do if I don't just leave it.
  19. I have no clue right now lol.
  20. So I just started this one after finishing my olds. It's monograms f250, which I have chopped up to make a reg cab short bed. I still need to shorten the frame, but here is where I'm at for now. I think I'm going to go with a 351 from a mustang, so maybe it will become a f150 lol. I don't know jack about ford trucks so I could care less. The bed is too short, because I cut it wrong, but no big deal to me because this thing will be custom anyways. I'll live even though it looks kinda odd to me. Thanks for looking.
  21. Thanks everybody! I had a lot of fun building it.
  22. So I just finished this up guys. I won't go into the details, but you can check the wip thread out. It came out pretty good, and I learned alot about the doors so hopefully my next go at it they eill turn out a LOT better! But anyways, it was nice out today so I went outside and took the pics. I had a lot of fun building it, but I'm glad it's done! The rest of the pics are HERE Thanks for looking.
  23. So last night I planned on almost finishing it, but after breaking some stuff off and almost dropping it, I took the night off lol. But anyways, I started thinking about the plate, and I have no idea what it should say. If you got any ideas let me know.
  24. So I got a update on this guys. It's final assembly time! I got the chassis and engine done, and I have put the body on the frame for the final time. I finished the front end, and the rear needs a plate. I BMF the trim, which is very hard to see, but I left the wheel well trim not foiled because I found it near imposible to see along the silver paint. I still need to detail alot of things, like the side markers and the door handles and stuff. This will be the final update on the olds till it's underglass! The underhood details arn't all there yet: Thanks for looking.
