  1. Hey man I found this at the local John deer dealership on sale for 20 bucks. I think they were originally 65 bucks or something. You can find em on ebay for various prices, or try a john deer dealership. Update on the truck, I got it mostly dissembled and all I got to do is drill out the rivets holding the headliner and glass in. Then I can prime and repaint it.
  2. So I started this about 6 months ago but now I am just getting it to it's final stages. It still needs most of the chassis finished on it so I still have a bit to do. Hopefully I will have it finished soon. Thanks for looking.
  3. So first off I'll state this IS a die cast. But it is 1/25 scale and this will be completely redone and fully detailed. But anyways it is made by a company called speccast. This also came with a John deer push mower, a rake and some can. This will be completely stripped and it will be done as a higher trim level. I'm thinking a gun metal gray right now. I plan on getting it fully stripped over the next few days and I will post some progress then. Thanks for looking and I'll keep ya updated.
  4. looks good so far Nick, I knew right away what movie it was from lol
  5. Pretty much everything on this truck will be custom built. I chopped the cab down, cut the doors out, and started the frame. Lots more to do on this one, but it is turning out to be a really fun build so far.
  6. So It's been awhile since I've been here, and it's been along time since I've been to the bench. But recently I got back to building and I just wanted a quick build. It is tamiya's Mazda eunos(miata). I built it box stock. I painted it with tamiya acrylic sky blue, which was shot through my new airbrush. It's not perfect, but it was a fun quick build to get me back to building.
  7. I haven't been here in awhile, but I'm just starting to get back to building. I've been really busy between work and school. Here's some kits I've picked up recently. and I got this over the summer I got lots more coming too, just waiting for it.
  8. Wow nice truck nick! Just really nice. It also has the zq8 suspension package and wheels. Wish I could find a clean zq8 like that. Did ya pay a pretty penny for it? lol
  9. I personally think if you can drive and pay attention just fine, then you don't need a self driving car. BUT if you have crashed cars, don't pay attension, don't even like driving, or just suck at driving, then you better get yourself a self driving car. I personally like driving and being in control of my vehicle. I myself worry more about other drivers then I do myself because I can tell what I'm going to do. But even with self driving cars. I think there WILL still be accidents. Maybe it is a benefit though, you can have more build time!
  10. I didn't like the kit tires either, so I decided to mock it up with some tires from the AMT 04 GTO, looks MUCH better IMO. I probably will swap the wheels anyways, but I just wanted to see what it would look like with a lower profile tire.
  11. Lately I've seen alot of fords being posted in here, and we really need to see some CHEVY's so i thought I would share this: Here's the pics! and Yes I am keeping the straight six. Now here is what I have done. I cut the top off, and I chopped and leaned the windshield posts to make it look a bit lower. More coming soon! Thanks for looking.
  12. Here's what I'm working on today; and Yes I am keeping the straight six. Thanks for looking.
  13. I picked up the mustang a few weeks ago, and got the 50 truck today. Also got a lindburg display case for a special build. Sitting on the kit rims with AMT 04 GTO tires: 50 chevy:
  14. So I just finished up this kit guys. It's revell's 91 Syclone, which is based on the s10. It's box stock, because that is the way I would own one. I returned my new camera because I didn't like it so I am back to using the old one for now! These trucks are extremely rare, with only 2998 being made. It's based on the GMC s15. They have a 4.3l v6 that is common in many Gm trucks. But It features a Mitsubishi Turbo with AWD that had 270hp and powered the truck from 0-60 in under 5 seconds. This is My DREAM car, and with prices rising everyday on these and typhoons, I'll probably miss out, but I can dream haha. Oh and I know it can benefit from some more under hood detailing, but I am going to make some decals and stuff first. I had a good time with this build and I hope you like it! Check out the WIP to see some pics of the interior and other details. Thanks for looking.
  15. So most of my builds I like to give at least a little polish to smooth it out some. Well I've been working on a 91 gmc Syclone and the paint has been polished out. It shines perfect, but there is some minor light scratches in the paint. What can I do to get these out? Maybe a final wax or something? I'm not really sure so if you guys got an idea let me know. Thanks Btw I'm using meguiar's scratch x polish.
  16. Thanks man. So here are the pics, the body still needs to be polished bu the paint is pretty smooth. Thanks for looking.
  17. So I am back at this one. It sat in the box for a long time and while I was cleaning up my hobby room I found it at the bottom of the pile. So I got to getting the rest of the paint of and started fresh. I re-primed, painted, and cleared the whole thing. I am buying a new camera today, so hopefully I will get some pics up asap. Sorry this isn't a picture update though, but I wanted to show I'm still building.
  18. Hey thanks man. This one is almost ready for paint but I'm stuck on colors. Plus my camera took a dump so I'm going to get a new one soon.
  19. I can't personally find Plasti-Kote primer anywhere's, so I always use duplicolors sandable grey primer. It works great and it always gets the job done good. The primer I bought two days ago is grey, and they just got it in the store I always buy it from.
  20. Well I got some news today about my truck, it has had body work done to it before! My dad bought it second hand in '02, and between '99 and '02 the whole left bedside had been repainted. On the fender flare on the left bedside had bondo from before I got it. It was done right, but I had to get some rust fixed on it anyways. The guy doing the body work was sanding it down and came across it. It wasn't filled with bondo, just a small area that was dinged and fixed. Well I guess I can't claim it's never been damaged. I always wondered why there was a very little color difference between the cab and the bed if it was in direct sunlight. But all is good and hopefully I'll have it back soon. the green is the new stuff, and the white is sealer they used on it before: left corner almost done: So yea I'm quite surprised, but it all adds up now if I really think about it.
  21. Nice man! I saw you posted it on s10 forum. What's the plans? I've been busy with work and school. Not much of a model update but I'm finally getting my cab corners done on my 1:1. Looks great so far too. Also going to have the drivers side bed flare grinder down and fixed because it's bubbled. Can't wait to get it back! Cab corners: The junk that was inside the drivers side: New corners: Bottom lip of the tailgate getting done: And yes I know there will be a tape line, but I plan on getting the truck repainted completely done the road anyways.
  22. Revell 02 camaro. My rims need to be repainted, but other than that it's done. I like the outcome of it quite a bit, looks cool to me but not "in your face " like bright colors haha I had lots of fun with this one, but I'm glad it's done. Final assembly was a BIG pain, especially the chassis/bumper fit. Thanks for looking.
  23. Well then the model will have to e modified even more, because the zr2 had more unique parts on it. But I would try to modify a 99 silverado interior to fit in this, cause they are close. Good luck though, and if you start the project please post it! Cause I'm a big fan and I own a 99 Sonoma which I love.
