Crew cab GMC Syclone.
Jared Roach replied to Jared Roach's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I haven't worked on it for awhile. I'm trying to finish up projects that are closer to being finished then this. But I will pick it up again, hopefully before the year is out, and have some updates on it eventually. -
1/25 Revell GMC Syclone Reissue?
Jared Roach replied to Jared Roach's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
That's one I plan on buildig eventually, if ya want more pics of that syclone, I got a few I found on the net including the bracket the holds the roof pieces while in the bed, just let me know and I'll post em. I new once I saw the decals they were for the malabro syclone. And this reminds me, I should really get back on my syclone crew cab phantom. -
Hey man! Glad to see ya here, did ya make a new account? But anyways the cuda looks good!

Oh I know, I broke that one off when I put down my knife. The roof is deffinatly warped so I'm hoping it goes together right. Just looking at the hinges makes me wonder how I'm gonna fit em, but time will tell I guess.

lookin good. Here's a update on the jeep, the paint is being a pain, so I still hve some stripping to do, but I had to set up this mock up pic, not sure if I'm gonna go with the chrome 5 spokes: or the mopar rally wheels: I'm leaning towards the 5 spokes.
-
Yea I think I'm gonna move the start date to now, since I can't wait to start on mine lol. But you can start anytime now.
-
Thanks guys. This isn't what I'm used to building so I'm learning as I go I guess.

Accually the 94-97 was quite different style wise from the 98-03, completely different interior, different exterior parts(grill, bumper etc....) and if ya had a 2.2L(which sucks big time btw) then it wasen't kitted in the s10. Also the 4.3 intake was different. What I'm saying is yes is was kitted, but not the updated style 98+, and I know because I own a 99.

Just thought I would post this, gonna be a quick build. Revells samba bus with all the opening panels, and lets just say it's a joke(to me). How do I get those parts on the hinges without breaking them is beyond me. My first kit was was warped extremly bad, so I returned it for this one, and this one only has a warped roof, but STILL! Come on revell fix these warped lit issues I've also heard from other people. But anyways, the interior is white and brown and the outside will be aqua and white. The door thats on right now is the one that I already broke a hinge, so I through it on there for fun. I gotta touch up the floor and wear the aqua thing meat. I still have some work to do to the engine. Well thats it for now, I gotta clean up all the paint over spray from the interior, and then primer and paint, but will keep ya updated. Thanks for looking.

Thanks man, I've used it on my other escalade that I posted here awhile back and it turned out great, and does look alot like the real paint. It's gonna match my other escalade(the suv)so they will be twins lol.

No the guy in the vid Is not here. He's only on YouTube, and is a very good guy. If you have a question I can contact him. I've used that method before and it worked for me
-
Never mind, looks good though!

no, lots of time. I'll add ya to the list. Update: I'm still waiting on paint to strip, got most of it off but some parts are being a pain.
-
Ok so here's what I am starting with, the revell '77 jeep cj7. It was an old build up so I got to taking it apart. I don't know If I'll use the frame or not, since I have plans for it which arn't 4x4 related. Right now the paint is striping, and then after that I'll get some mock up pics
-
I edited the first post to include the guideline and entry's. Right now my jeep is being stripped, was a old build up so I'm ready to bring it back to life.
-
Any type, because I like to build all kinds and limiting it to one catagory would limit alot of participation I think, and I build all sorts.
-
Ok, since you guys said sure, I guess this will be the official build thread. I have no clue how long the time frame will be, so I'll let you guys pick, I was thinking around 6 months or so. I'll say anything that is a pick up/suv from 1950-present because I have many from different era's and I like all kinds trucks. Let me know on what you think is a good time line and then I'll get the ONE guideline done.
-
Ok, so I know this has been done to death, but I can't help myself knowing there is so many kits and people out there building a pick up or suv type vehicle I thought it might be a good idea to start another CBP. I know I got many so it would be cool to see other peoples take on one all in one topic. I just want to mainly have fun and see what you all got when it comes to a truck/suv. So here is the ONE rule: - Has to be a pick up/suv type vehicle and can be built any way you want to build it(stock, street, drag, 4x4, etc...) as long as it's still a truck at the end(no truck planes or ship trucks ) I think a good start date would be now and run till may 25. I think that would give you all(including myself) enough time to finish your build. Also you can build as many as you like. Let me know what your entry is and the style your gonna build it and I will list it here: Entry's: Bowtiebadboy33: 1965 chevy pick up-stock/mild custom mopar01lee: 1979 Dodge d50- drag YJislander: 1988 Ford F-250 4x4 Ext.
