  1. Oh yea I would join this, how bout a 2005 impala done as a drag car, lol or a 88 daytona, that I need to get done by may so this might be motivation. If this became a build off, I would be in for sure. I have a question though? Don't ya think you would atract more people to join by just building kits not seen often, dosen't matter how good or bad, just an odd kit? I'm just wondering, because most of the "forgotten" kits I have aren't GREAT Kits, but are still very buildable.
  2. I've had this on my mind for awhile and thought I would ask you guys what your #1 Favorite car brand is and what type of car you like(sedan, coupe, truck etc...)? and maybe your dislikes too? Me I like pretty much anything that is from GM and Chrysler and older fords(pre-1980) and I like muscle cars, fullsize trucks, and my favorite are minitrucks lol I hate japanese cars, I have respect for em, but still don't like them one bit. So whats your favorite type and brand of car?
  3. I remember that too, then I thought, oh no it's real!
  4. So I came to the site to check stuff out for a little bit like I do every night, and a black screen came up saying it was HACKED! I was like, "OH NO!" But now it is back up and running, so it's a good night for me. Don't know what I would do with you guys. lol
  5. I didn't get a kit, but I did find this old shelf in the shed and thought it would be good enough to put my builds on till I get the wall one built, and yes I have more wip's then finished builds lol, the rest are on the other shelf. After I finish something(hopefully soon) I'm gonna take that daytona and work on that, since there's not much done and I feel like building it again, gonna be a replica of my mom's first new car.
  6. Quick update on this one guys. Not much done, but I finished filling the holes and it's ready for some bondo. You can see there's some injection marks which have to be sanded out. Thats it for now, I'll have more when I get more done. Thanks for lookin.
  7. I think all revell of germany kits regardless the box, were made in Poland. At least my vw buses were, but they were in a revell of us box instead.
  8. 99 sonoma, 4.3 2wd, 95,000KM, great truck. I am a BIG fan of mini trucks anyways but I'm glad to have this, just the good ol' canadian road salt is getting to her! plans for the future are just minor things like, ss mirrors, envoy bumper cover and headlights, brazilian taillights, a 2/3 drop and either coy c5's or torque thrusts II's If I get some cash saved up. Then after that it is ready for a 350. btw nice truck grim, take the trim off the side and it will make the truck look WAY nicer, trust me. Oh and get a roll pan before you get it painted.
  9. Well a member on my site started building a California and his was sighlty warped too, but he was able to fix it. I bought a vw samba bus( revell us version but it's the same as the Germany version) it was also tightly wraped and it was REALLY warped. So I returned it and got a new one, and that one was warped too, but not as bad, but still. I think it's starting to be a problem, because I think everbody hates warped stuff and new kits shouldn't be warped.
  10. Why bump an old thread? Just wondering But sense it's here again, Here's my two cents. I think it's cool they desided to do a prius in scale, for something different atleast. BUT, I agree with everybody else about there is sooooo many other cars out there we would love to have in scale,(Like for ME, a 98+ gmc sonoma ext cab ). Plus I AM NOT A TOYOTA guy, I accually personally hate almost all the jap cars, except these, I love these things lol but anyways, to the "new" user "amani" you say it is the number one car on the road? I see a whole lot more little honda's, mazada's, econo box cars that aren't a pruis, heck I even see more classic muscle cars cruzing around then prius's. anyways, the prius IS NOT the number one car on the road, by a LONG shot
  11. looks good, alot like the one I built so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP6-XkTwVM0&feature=related
  12. Welcome! I am too from Nova Scotia, I'm in the Valley which is about a 1hr and a half a way from halifax
  13. Oh I didn't know that, guess ya learn something new everyday. It is about 60,000 miles, but it looks nice from far away, but once you get close it's scartched to hell and both cab corners are gone. But I do plan to do some work to it when I get some money. I still gotta wet sand it, because some dust and unwanted stuff got in it, then a couple more coats and then clear.
  14. Accually it's a sonoma, the jimmy name was used with the blazer, and sonoma with s10. But anyways it's a 99 and has 95,000 kms and I got the ranger painted Tamiya Deep blue and it looks good. I still need to wet sand and add another coat or two then clear. Thanks for lookin.
  15. Cool ranger you got there david. This build is a really different one for me, because I drive this: So I feel a bit out of place building a Ranger!
  16. The Funny thing is that I drive a 99 sonoma, which I think is WAY better looking then a ranger and I like it way more, but I like all mini trucks, just that I'm a GM guy
  17. To start I'm NOT posting this in the trucks section because I find it dosen't get as much Traffic as here. but anyways, I wasn't going to start a wip thread for it, but felt like showing you all what I am currently working on. It's AMT's 93 Ford Ranger Snap Fast curbside level one kit. So Far I'm really enjoying building this, and it has alot of detail which makes it look good with some paint detailing. Here's the box: So I primed the cab and bed, and painted the grill Tamiya Deep blue metallic, which the rest of the truck will be: I am using a modified bed roll bar from the monogram f250, which I still have to fill the joints were they were glued, because the look bad. The Front bumper was sprayed flat black from far away to get a bed liner look on it, same will be done to the rear bumper and the fender flares as well: Here I blackwashed the rims, and they look a 100X better then before. I also took a tooth pic and painted the white letters on the Tires, which need to be touched up some: The Chassis is pretty much done. I sprayed it blue and primer, then painted the frame, exhaust etc... I still need to paint the shocks: So everybody, I plan to let the primer dry good over night, and in the morning put some of that Tamiya Deep blue on it, first time using Tamiya so I'm looking forward to trying it. Thanks for looking everybody.
  18. There's only that set of seats in that kit. No others
  19. So I'm thinking about trying it and was wondering if anybody has atempted it before in scale? Any tips or anything? I know I would have to keep them small so they would look right. If you don't know what the "water droplet" effect is, here are a few pics: So I'm thinking about trying it out on a project soon so I was just wondering.
  20. So yesterday I went to the city and stoped at a hobby shop. They had pretty much the same thing as my lhs but they carry Tamiya paint and the had some second hand kits there and the Ranger caught my eye, even though Gm s-series are better. lol Gonna be my first time using Tamiya paint, so hopefully it'll work out.
  21. Looks awesome man! I love the cowel hood and it's NOT a LOWRIDER! Awesome job.
  22. Go to the back up one here:
  23. I saw it the night it came out, Great movie. I especially loved the 55 f100 in it. Even though it's a ford. lol watched them build that truck on TV awwhilw back.
  24. I keep forgetting about this, need to get some pics up later tonight.
  25. I wouldn't be paying $40 bucks for it.
