So everybody, after about 6 months of paint problems holding it from being completed, it's FINALLY done. Here is what the movie car was like: So I used the Lindberg srt8 "super bee" kit, but did it in Dupli color gloss black and clear, polised out after. The shock towers under the hood are from the amt 300c, because I lost one of the srt8 ones. Brembo brakes are from my parts box and the lisence plate was custom made and printed on photo paper. All in all I'm VERY glad to have this thing done. Not my best build, but I'm happy with it. Here it is: I'm not really happy with how the tail lights turned out, shoulda used clear red instead, but oh well

Thanks everybody! Now some might be disapointed and others happy, but I'm not going to do the daytona wing. For two reasons: 1) The angle that the trunk is shaped and slopes would be difficult to mount it on there 2) I really don't want the hassle of taping around that rear end with all those curves for the stripe. So now with that outta the way here's a update! So I got the fire wall on, and the front end sits alot better after some tweeking, but still needs some work. I assembled all the pieces to be orange on the hemi and painted it, still need to do the transmission and the valve covers painted black semi gloss black. The whole interior is painted semigloss black and needs some more detailing. The color I chose is model master Fathom Green. YES, I know it's a GM color, but I thought it would look nice in it. The chassis was primed, then oversprayed, then the front frame was done in black. Yes I know it's not correct, but it isn't really stock. Whats next? I gotta fill the fire wall and build it up along the sides like here: Won't be too hard though, so look for a update soon guys because I'm crusing along on this one. Thanks for lookin guys.

So I went and got the newly reissued 67 and it will look some what like this: I will be going for a similer look as that one, by widening the rear stock rims and I will scratch build the daytona wing, but not sure about paint yet. I got the front cut off and hinged. Right now it has cragars but i will swap them out for the magnum 500's later. I was going to use the rear tires from the revell chevelle, but I'm gonna find something that is wider. I still have alot of adjusting to do to the front so it sits right. Here is the hinge. I couldn't run one hinge across the whole front of the frame, so instead i made two small ones and and put one on each fender. I also cut away radiator so the fenders will clear it. I plan on working on the firewall, the daytona wing, and the interior here soon, but i gotta fix the front end it's pretty crooked. Thanks for looking guys.

Well I have got quite a few things accually! I got the the impala at micheals with a 40% of coupon while on vacation and bought the saws there too, they work GREAT! I got the rubber cement at a dollar store. The BMF, Knife blades and the other 2 kits I got at my lhs, and I really like them both, but never seen the box art of the van before though. The impala I'm still thinking about what I should do to it, but it WON'T be a cop car. I was board while on vaction so I desided to build it because it is a snap kit. 67 Charger, desided to get back to building muscle cars. VW bus. I went to the lhs for just the bmf, knife blades and the charger, but had to get this too. and the rest of the stuff. Thanks for looking guys.

Thanks guys! And Dave, yes I will be adding the trim around those windows. I gotta get back from vacation, because I'm EXTREMELY board and miss building. It still has a long way to go, but ya thanks guys and Dave I was planning on fixing those so thanks for reminding me. -
This is Just beutiful man, love everything you did to it! Can't wait to see some more of your builds and can't wait the 1:1 to be done too!

It'll be just like real syclones, gloss black with semi gloss black body cladding and red syclone badges. It'll have the grey and black interior with with red accents too. Just thought I would let ya'll know. I got a update on this one. I finally have the body work almost done. The roof was smooth but it dipped down a bit near the centre so I put a FINAL coat of filler on it. The driver's side door is done. The passenger side cracked and broke but glued back together and almost done. I started to join the chassis pieces with styrene and super glue. I also cut two of the buckets and am now gonna do a bench for the back. TThe body cladding picture shows how much I have to extend the oringanal pieces, but no problem since I got two sets. On the doors after the body works done I just got to add the window trim, and they'll be done. Sorry for me rambiling on, but I like to explian things. lol This one still needs more work: I also got the bed prety much done and ready for primer: That's it guys. Thanks reading it all(if ya did), this thing is really coming along and soon I plan on getting the chassis put together and the interior painted after the body work is done. Thanks for lookin. -
Hey guys, just finnished this quick build up. Revells Calfornia wheels escalade. Built it stock except for the rims, because I didn't find any I liked that are close to stock 1:1's. Paint is testors one coat lacquer white Lightning with the wet look clear. I do need to get some more paint and put some more on the running boards, because they don't match the body, oh well easy fix. It was a Nice kit to build even though it is curbside, but I like revells curbsides anyways. I glued the rear hatch shut because I didn't like the way the hingeworked and nothing special back there anyways. The Tail lights will be swaped out with the custom ones painted with stop light red, because I lost the stock clear corners. All in all it was a good build, and was fun to do a box stock build again for once. Wow my pics look bad for some reason, oh well. Thanks for looking guys.

How about an Ugly car contest?
Jared Roach replied to Modelmartin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ok, so you guys are probly gonna hate me for this, but..... I kinda liked the aztek! I really don't know why but I think it's kinda of cool looking. I mean get rid of some of the plastic and clean up the body some, do something to the engine, lower or bag it, and put some nice wheels on it, and it would be awesome. But for the interior, I hate that though. But I also like the newest Nissan cube, so somethings wrong. -
Cool! I forgot about this myself! Right now my camera is dead, but I got a rust bucket f250 and a escalade on it and a couple custom 1:64 hotwheels stuff. Trying to finish stuff instead of starting more for once.

New Camaro?
Jared Roach replied to Bridgebuster's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yep, only the concept. But from building both, the revell is nicer. Even thought it don't have a engine, I think it looks alot better and with some paint detailing makes it pop for being a snap kit. I'll get a link up to mine in a bit. -
Edit: I can now, my bad.
