The Out of Your Comfort Zone community build
Jared Roach replied to Nick Winter's topic in Community Builds
well after thinking long and hard, I'm out of this build. I can't do it, I don't have anything that has to do with mine and I don't have any cash to go buy anything. Sorry guys, but I thought this was gonna be more of a "style" build, where I could use a kit I have already, and not a catagory build or something that had nothing to do with a street car. But hope you guys get yours done. -

$75,000 2011 Camaro
Jared Roach replied to samm1970's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's also someone doing a t-top option for the camaro now. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/21/drop-top-customs-creates-chevrolet-camaro-t-top/ But I'm not sure if I like it. -
$75,000 2011 Camaro
Jared Roach replied to samm1970's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Around here I still see camaro's selling and new ones coming in. But the synergy green camaro's aren't selling as much now, because 2011 that color is avalible on all models, instead of 2010 with it only avalible on the v6 lt's. But it's just like any other fad or new product that everybody must have, once the majority of people have one, sales slow down alot. But don't get me wrong, if I had cash to blow, I would buy a camaro before a mustang anytime, but that's just me. -
So guys, I will start by showing you my first attempt at building one of these, which can be found HERE But anyways, I just tried to finish this 65 chevy pick up, and It's fought me all the way till it was done, then it fell and hit the table and broke into pieces So I am rebuilding it and making it like something I built before, but with some changes, like a windsheild and maybe the front fenders or something added. But anyways this is what I have so far. After it fell, mocked up for "before" pics lol Getting ready to cut: All cut: Now I have to extend the frame some with styrene, but it gives you an idea of what it will look like. so thanks for lookin and I'll update it as soon as I get something done on it.

I was just talking about that in chat, about how they should do a production 2010 camaro, and there it is! -
Update on mine. It will NEVER be done. Long story short, it desided to come apart and shatter into pieces, so it's now a parts truck, and thats it. If I get motovation to build again, I will maybe find something else to build for this.

Wow your guys builds are coming out great! I'm basicly done the 65 so I am gonna post it here in a few mins.

Looks good. I like it, but If I built it I would of used a stock color combo, but still looks really good. I plan on this conversion some day, was it hard to build it or did you use a resin body? I'm just wondering.

Yea, I'm kinda confused too. It's jumped from one thing to the next and first it was the 19th we were supposed to get our challenge, but now we gotta wait another week? I mean I'm in for the build but don't want to start anything while wait for this one to start, but it's kinda confusing. -

Ok well I don't know what kit I'm gonna use, and would rather wait till I know what I'm building to pick. But here's a link to my photobucket http://s373.photobucket.com/home/bowtiebadboy33/allalbums -

So tommorrow is when we find out what were building? I'll figure out the color when I know what I'm building! -
Looking good man! Makes me want to start on mine again. I love all s-series, 1st and 2nd gens. I had a chance to get a baja s10 for $400 Canadian, but had to pass because I had no money and didn't have a way of getting it home because it didn't run. But the baja parts alone are worth more then that. But anyways, can't wait to see it done.

ok cool, so will everybody have a different style? I'm just wondering. -
Looking good! Can't wait to see it done. Update on mine: still don't have a computer, but did get the 65 painted today, and it looks really good. I'm gonna let it dry and then I'm gonna dullcote it, to match everything else. I'm going for a differerent look so when I get my computer back I'll get pics up right away, because I might have it back by early next week if everything goes well, and the truck might be done by then too.

When I get something done I will post it, but lately like the syclone and other projects, I've been busy and haven't worked on This for a bit. But eventually I'll get back to work on it, hopefully soon

Like I said in the other post, I'm in, ready to go Nick lol -
I know Nick, he's here now, and we had words before you got back. Nobody really knows what happened over on your site between this guy, but it wasn't good. Nick asked you to stay away from him, so just do it to keep the peace. But anyways it looks pretty good Nick, love the bed, very cool.

Ok cool
-
How bout this, just give a theme or direction you should take your build. Hey nick, you should get a list together and get this started.
-
Well I disagree to. If I like something somebody's building, I follow along and don't worry about how much they get done, because It's not my build and it dosen't really matter. I know I post alot of things, alot of which aren't done yet but I take my time, and work at it at my own pace, because it's mine and not anybody elses so I don't worry about how much I get done in a certain amount of time, as long as I'm enjoying it and everybody who is watching that's all that matters I think.

Long shot
Jared Roach replied to slant6's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Do you mean the s-series blazer with the trailblazer package or the trailblazer from 02+(I think). Well they didn't make either, but they did make a 95-97 blazer, which you can convert to a 98+ and the trailblazer package. Either one dosen't exist in kit form though. -
Looks good clay. Update on mine: I'm gonna be switch my entry from my jeep to a 65 chevy pick up, but I can't get pics up because my computer is really messed up. But I have the interior painted, chassis painted but not detalied and the cab and bed is almost ready for paint.
