  1. Awesome!
  2. Thanks everyone! Rallye Green, a color that was introduced in mid '69. We didn't have the recipe at work to do it in waterborne basecoat, so I just custom mixed it while looking at pictures on the net. It's close, but it should be a bit darker.
  3. True. I learned that the hard way, almost got me kicked off this site because of this. Please do rehost your images!
  4. Try www.canada411.ca, just type the person's name and location and see if you can find his phone number there.
  5. Here's the engine and chassis;
  6. Here's my build #8 of 2011; a '69 Road Runner 440 Six Pack (A12), like most of them, it has no power brakes, no power steering, full bench seat with 4 speed transmission, AM radio (who needs a radio when you have a 440 six pack under the hood anyway...) fiberglass lift-off hood, black steelies,etc... I used the AMT '69 GTX kit, sanded off the emblems, side and wheel opening moldings, got a resin '69 RR front grill and six pack hood from Vaughn Hart, which needed some work to fit, used the seats and door interior trims from the AMT '68 RR kit, I did cut the headrests from the '69 GTX bucket seats and glued them on the '68 bench seat, the steelies come from the LRW kit, G70-15 tires from the parts box, decals are from Keith Marks (some detail decals and license plates were made by myself), Protech PE hood pins, and the paint is '69 Rallye Green. I added some wiring and hoses also. I had to tweek the suspension a bit to get the stance I wanted.
  7. Same for me. I will wash plastic parts only if I see dirt/dust on them. If the part looks clean, I start with a light sanding 400 or 600grit and scrub with a gray scotchbrite, then primer. I do wash/scrub resin parts with Ajax and gray scotchbrite (that's how we prepare new 1:1 plastic bumper covers for paint at work)
  8. There are a few different '70 Challenger AMT kits; 1- The kit with the purple Challenger on the box art, shown with the Shaker hood, only has the Shaker in it, no R/T hood in this kit. 2- The "Yankee Challenge" Challenger kit has the R/T hood, but it has a hole in it, which can easily be fixed. This kit also has the Shaker hood in it. 3- The Johnny lightning kit with the yellow Challenger on the box art, this one has two R/T hoods in it, one with the hole in the center (same as the yankee challenge) and one with no hole. No Shaker hood in this kit. All of these kits have the separate roof with vinyl roof texture on it. You have to sand the vinyl roof texture, then glue the roof to the body and do some putty and finishing work on the joints, like I did on the purple Challenger pic above. No big deal. Another thing I did on both (monogram and amt), is glue the front end on and do some putty and finishing work on the joints, then rescribe the front valance joints at the correct place. There are a few other Challenger AMT kits out there but I can't tell, I don't have them.
  9. Here's one I built a few years ago using the AMT kit; And here's another one I built recently using the old Monogram kit; Those 2 kits makes a nice looking Challenger, but the recent Revell kit looks bad IMO.
  10. Looks like Keith Marks has them too http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/plymouth/mod_top_pattern/ Just email him; mofobow@hotmail.com

    1967 Corvette

Oups, I forgot the pic of the chassis. Just corrected it. I'm in Granby, just between Sherbrooke and Montreal.

    1967 Corvette

Here's my latest build, Revell's '67 Corvette 427 Roadster. Just added spark plug wires and homemade license plate decals. Color is sunfire yellow
  14. I got one! This is an old MPC '85 Shelby Charger I built a few years ago. It has a 2.2l turbo.
  15. So here's the Ramchargers '64 Dodge, to go along with the Ramchargers dragster I built recently. Lindberg kit with a few details added. This is my first attempt at weathering. And one last pic with the dragster
  16. Nice dragster trio! My favorite is the Fiat Nice clean builds well done!
  17. This is insane! John, I think this is the best looking model I have ever seen! Awesome work
  18. What did they do to those cars? Never heard about that... Besides, customs are under Canada's Federal Government jurisdiction, Quebec doesn't have anything to do with customs.
  19. What will happen in the near future is that the oil prices will continue to go up, forcing North American people to buy small cars instead of big SUV's and pickup trucks, just like they do in Europe.
  20. Nice and clean! Great work!
