  1. Thank you, Mike! Hope you're doing well.
  2. Masterful, Tim! The Hilborn pump is amazing.
  3. This is an HO scale commision build of a 1947 Labatt's Beer truck. It's a resin kit from a company called Sylvan out of Canada, and doesn't build up to badly at all. I used Testors Sunburst enamel, mixed one-to-one with Testors red enamel. The decals were applied and then the whole model was cleared with Testors high-gloss clear enamel. Essentially the Donn Yost method, 2:1 enamel to lacquer thinner. Chrome is the 1mm Molotow Pen on the small details (including the lettering on the front) and the ink airbrushed on the fin. However, the front grill and bird, and the side rails on the truck and tractor are BMF. Thanks for looking!
  4. Amazing fab, John! The decals are going to look great, too.
  5. Nice work, Randy! It definitely harkens back to how the real cars were made back in the day. It's very fun and inspiring to watch your amazing skills. Oh, and thanks for the plug .
  6. Great work, Bill!
  7. I built this several years ago and loved it. You did a great job!
  8. Calipers are amazing, Tim!
  9. Nice sheetmetal work, Dave. Your real-world skills really shine on this build!
  10. Wow, Tim, love that paint so far. I'm sure what you end up with will be spectacular. The injector hardware alone is super-impressive, and the car looks magnificent mocked up like that. It really whets the appetite to see it like this. -Art
  11. It's coming along fast! I don't know why I'm surprised... This is going to be sweet.
  12. Great start, so far, Joe. It's going to be a wild one!
  13. JC, I really appreciate this thread. As it turns out, my stepmother is Linda Halibrand, the eldest daughter of Ted Halibrand, so I grew up a part of the Halibrand family since I was about 8, and knew Ted pretty well until he passed in 1991. Ted sold Halibrand in 1977, but kept the original campus of buildings, so my dad had his shop there in the early 80's until the early 90's. Ted also kept a small shop there to work on his retirement projects, and since I was always hanging down there, I got to know Ted pretty well. I can tell you, I really learned a lot from him, not to mention got to meet some really legendary people who would drop in to see him! I'm always looking for Halibrand products in scale, including the quick change rear ends, so it's really cool to see this. I'll be following it going forward, for sure, and if I can make a contribution, I will. -Art
  14. Thanks for all the comments! I appreciate it!
  15. This was just a quick little build of a 1934 Ford Woody I did on commission. It's HO scale (1/87) and I've never done something so small, but it was fun. It's nice to get that sense of completion in short amount of time!
  16. And there she is... Beautiful, John! Time to head to Beach City!
  17. I am really impressed with the fabrication work you've done on this one. Can't wait to see it get painted up!
  18. Paint looks sweet so far, John. Can't wait to see it under final clear!
  19. Wow, Dave! It just keeps getting better and better! Clutch is amazing.
  20. Glad to see you back at it, Chris! Nice parts you made there. Incredible realism.
  21. John, the chassis looks awesome! I'm sure the body is going to be just as great!
  22. I didn't think it was possible, but you continue to raise your own bar!
