Bob, the color on the body and the wheels came out amazing. I need to pick up some of that Mirror Chrome apparently. Very impressed. Where did you get the tires? Cant wait to see more of this one for sure.
Eelco I'm working on the master now for the drag radials. Patience my friend I'm also going to be starting a new build of my own shortly to somewhat showcase some of the new parts. Stay tuned!
Glenn welcome, it looks like your off to a nice start. I've always wanted to build an AWD drag car. If I could offer a little advice..I'd say to pick up some styrene rod like Evergreen in various sizes to continue working that chassis. It would be easier to work with than full metal, if you have access to it. Keep up the good work + good luck on the build!
Fella's, my first products are now available. Both the X-Large Drag and Large Street turbo's are available. My Fotki has been updated with the information. Much more to come! Please be patient as more products and details are added. Thank you all for the kind words!
Mike I've not actually seen any of the Revell 1/12 motorcycles up close so I can't really say size wise how they would look on one. I could measure the x-large turbo for you and post the dimensions?? Let me know.
Sweet. That things going to be a monster! Just some info for anyone curious, the resin is paintable straight from the mold. It does NOT require any soaking, washing, cleaning, etc. Just a little benny I thought I'd throw out there.
Yep, agree also. One of the biggest reasons for my long departure from the hobby was simply getting burnt out from building for shows and what not. When I came back to it many years later (not long ago actually) I just build for myself and love/enjoy doing it. Sure I may get carried away on some aspects of the build, but thats just me and what I chose to do. Gotta build what you like, and who cares if nobody else does. You do! Build on!
Wow someone remembers from back in the day! It was in some Scale Auto contest coverage + perhaps I think in the contest annual. The turquoise El Camino was in Hot Rod mag.
Hi all! I thought it would be fun to dig into the archives and unbox some of my earliest builds for a little photo shoot. I've always been extremely careful with my old builds and I'm happy to say they have stood the test of time and are in the exact shape as when they were put away some 20+ years ago. Not a single loose part in the bunch! This was really fun for me and it brought back many memories of a simpler time. My Fotki has been updated with more of these pics, so feel free to check it out and hope you enjoy!
