I finished this one up last night. I'm proud of this build so I am going to be daring and post it here Under Glass AMT kit. Parts box wheels and tires, cage and other NASCAR stuff. Fred Cady decals. DupliColor Wimbledon White and custom mixed Chevrolet Cashmere Blue. And a great reference source from Modified Mustangs and Fords April 2009. Mitch

I have this kit in my stash. Nice job.

1965 Fred Lorenzen Holman Moody Galaxie
Reeves Racing replied to Reeves Racing's topic in WIP: NASCAR
DW, I think I got them from MCG but I don't remember. They weren't the NASCAR set they are just a hood pin set four pieces a PE disc, a sewing needle for the pin, some scale wire for the lanyard wire (way to small for me to deal with) and the PE pin. The set comes with both styles of pins. The hairpin style and the flip loop style. They are so tiny I usually just glue on a disc and call it good but I wanted to put the finishing touch on this build. -

That looks awesome. One thing the shocks are rebuildable units now and are all silver. They don't use the factory painted yellow ones anymore.

I am calling this one done. -
I wouldn't BMF the wiper arms. Just say that they were anodized black like the windshield and back glass trim. GREAT work.

http://www.nhra.com/events/event/o%E2%80%99reilly-nhra-summer-nationals/ I washed the tickets when I washed my jeans but they called them the Summer Nat.s This was only the second time for me to go to a big time NHRA event so... Take good look at the wall in the Prostock line pictures... I just thought you guys would enjoy the pictures and use them for reference... -
Gorgeous build Mike. I was hoping I would run across you some where else besides SA or BMC. Its great to see your work again.

Here are some pictures from last weekend. Antron Brown did 321mph at 3.783 on Friday evening. Check out the Super Pro rail with the modular Cobra engine.

This is a bash of the Revell 1999 Mustang Cobra and the Monogram 1984 Thunderbird Prostock. Home resin casted wheels and parts box decals. I had it under glass but I am wanting to get some of my upload space back so I moved it to here with links to photobucket. So this one is a retread of mine here.

Thanks guys. I am using Fred Cady Augusta Motors and Harvest Motors for the numbers and I scored this sheet tonight off of eBay. I didn't even know they existed I just did a search of Ron's Ford as a whim and got lucky. -
Great job. Very cool.

Hi Guys. I am taking an AMT Torino body and a Polar Lights chassis and building Dan Gurney's 68 Torino driven at Riverside. I am using various sorces for the decals. Here is what I have so far. I bought the kit/project off of eBay the previous owner had already narrowed the chassis but that all the rest is my work.

WIP.....69 Daytona Pro Mod..Updated 10/28/10
Reeves Racing replied to 1320wayne's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
That is really sharp. I have been watching this one. One question, what is the PE part that looks like the blower base gasket/safety strap mount on the top of the blower? -
I am wanting to build the two main T/F cars from the movie More American Graffitti. I am going to use TV Tommy Ivo's car for the Hunt Bros. factory backed Hemi powered top fueler. And I am going to use the newly re-popped Hemi-Sphere as Milner's car but with the correct blown small block Chevy. I was able to obtain a good clean scan of the decals for Milners car from an MPC kit. Has anyone ever done these builds before. I would like to see some pictures if they have any. Here is a link to a YouTube clip of my favorite part of the movie.

Wow John another super detail job. What technique do you use to make the tire lettering look realistic and not so stark white? Thx, Mitch -

Mostly because I used this picture as inspiration... The other picture was bigger and made for a better back drop. -
OOB Polar Lights kit with Duplicolor Wimbelton white and Testers Ruby Red Metalflake enamel. Kit decals and aftermarket tire decals.

This is another kit bash of mine. MPC's 79 Camaro and Revell's Prostock Firebird. Slixx decals. Custom mixed red paint airbrushed. Reliable Resin Centerlines. Lee Shepherd was my favorite Prostock driver of all time. I plan on building his 82 Camaro soon. Mitch

I posted this in the Under Glass forum a while back but I took some better pictures and thought it would be more at home in this forum. Slixx decals, Dupli-color and MM paint, Firefighter re-pop kit, after market plastic hood scoop.

They should put Brad K, Kyle Busch and Jimmy Johnson all on one team then I could focus my ill will all on one team instead of having to spread it out.. LOL I will be sad to see Kurt out of the 2 but Rusty fans probably felt the same way back in the day when Kurt took over...
