  1. This is a box stock build of the Monogram Shepherd Camaro kit. I built the original kit as a kid but it didn't survive. It was always one of my favorite builds so I built it again using the re-released "Mean and Nasty" kit and Slixx decals. The Mean and Nasty kit has tinted glass so I used the clear tree from a Ricky Smith Firebird kit. The Mean and Nasty also has a gold chrome tree instead of the dull coated chrome tree of the original kit. I stripped all the chrome except for the valve covers and redid it with Alclad II Polished Aluminum. I used Duplicolor for the paint. I did Lee's 79 Camaro a few years back.
  2. AMT kit with many mods to the front end. Parts box wheels and tires Cady decals and Duplicolor paint.
  3. X2
  4. I like the idea and this is great work but I agree with Casey. The tops of the front finders are too sharp and in too much contrast with the soft "hips" of the rear quarters. Just the same you are doing an awesome job with this.
  5. I really like what you've done so far Brett. It looks perfect. It has made me want to build one.
  6. I like this a lot. The 62 Chevy is my favorite big bodied car. We race my dads 63 Biscayne but I wish it was a 62.
  7. AMT Street Freak kit with Cady decals. Custom mix to get a Poppy Red. Scratch made induction system with parts box carbs, manifold and duct hoses. The hole in the hood were filled and the slots in the back of the teardrop opened up. I used parts box slicks replacing the kit slicks that are twice as wide.
  8. Builds look pretty good, pictures look aweful. Unless you really did paint all of that pink.
  9. Nice build, This gen of Camaro looks like a Geo Storm on steriods...
  10. I agree, great work but the tires are so ridiculously thin it looks like its sitting on the rims.
  11. I am with Harry on this one. "Finched"? I am thinking you are referring to the color which is like a canary or finch yellow... or you misspelled Finished. Nice build with a unique color, same critique as the others, the wheels and tires take away from the build.
  12. Nice paint, looks like very clean build. It’s not really the style or taste for me, excessive camber on street car looks ridiculous to me, it looks like the car was dropped from about 10 feet in the air. It’s a fad for looks not for true performance, like a big muffler can or donk wheels. But I’m an old geezer and thank goodness everyone doesn’t have the same taste as me or what boring world we would live in. If you like your build then it has served its purpose and don’t let anyone discourage you.
  13. Thanks guys. This is my dream car. To me this is a Ferrari.
  14. Thanks guys!
  15. Great job, I built this kit too but I added the racing stuff. It looks great in stock trim.
  16. Revell kit, Custom paint, Dupli-Color "Seattle Silver" base and "Orange Mist" Lemans stripes and wheels. Aroshima VOLK wheels MM Carbon Fiber decals. I put carbon fiber details on the interior and the headlight buckets and taillight escutcheons.
  17. Italera kit 288 GTO kit with Tamiya F40 Wheels and tire and Crazy Modeler P/E set. Dupli-color Cardinal Red.
  18. That's what I'm talkin' about. Nice save, looks like a real car now and not a toy. I have to say the color, stance and wheels all look terrific.
  19. I think it belongs right here Under Glass. I have to admire a kit that size that has the right details to set it off. I never thought I would be admiring a stock trailer before but man, you did a super job on the tractor and the trailer. Definitely on my favorites list for 2010.
  20. What??? only four 4 barrels on the Coffee truck??? I don't usually like these old customs but man, you did an awesome job. The updated wheels on the Monkee's car really set it off. Super paint on all of them and the builds are so clean. Great work!
  21. Thanks guys, this kit is a real builders kit. It has alot of parts and detail. Here are some process shots of the engine/rear suspension and the header assembly.
  22. This is one of my favorite race cars. I have always wanted to build it. I finally found a kit on the Bay that wasn't too expensive. This is the Union re-box of the Heller kit. Testers "Italian Red" lacquer Duplicolor "Pure Linen" lacquer Testers "Wet Look" Clear Speedline tire markings (the kit didn't have any) Radio Shack wrapping wire for plug wires. The rest is box stock The fit is a little complicated and I had to heat up the rear deck in hot water bend it and put it in cold water to set the reshape. The rear frame/suspension is very delicate. Surprisingly I didn't break it... I was so excited to have this kit , I may have rushed it a little but it was a blast to build and I am quite happy with the final product.
  23. Both are perfect. Well done.
  24. What is the bag thing on the roll cage? I think it looks great but the cage is a little overkill for a car with all the furniture still in it.
