  1. Here's the color (no clear on the spoon)... One light coat of clear...
  2. Has ANYone built,or make parts to convert a Revell '99 Cbra into one of these ('04 MACH I)? Or even one of these ('01 Bullitt in black, one of two optional colors that year)? I'm going to begin looking for a clean '01 Bullitt,'03-'04 MACH (in the Grabber Blue or Orange-renamed-colors),or an '08 Bullitt in the Spring of '13...I doubt I'll trade my '94 in,just keep it for daily driving. Anyways, wht would be involved in replicating something like these from that kit?
  3. I'll have to use what I have, they can only get it in non-rattlecans,I have no airbrush since the house fire back in June (not that I had used it much anyways,LOL!). I'll spray up a spoon later and post it It looks pretty close to my eye. Here's a pic pulled from a book... That's a GOOD looking build,BTW
  4. Yep,that's the one. I went in this morning (right after dropping the Mrs off for an appt),and they do only have that hue in the 5oz "scratch n dent touch up",not the rattlecan I need it in. So,that's that,LOL! I'll either do the black one,or use what I found that's close and do the black cowl hood thing Jonathan mentioned (sounds mean,I likes mean ). I'll finish up that other build (or at least get it to 99.5% complete) today, then try and get some work done on Nick's '70,and maybe start prepping the Bullitt's body for primer, maybe spray some of that other green on a plastic spoon, see how close it really is. Thanks for the info,Bradley, much appreciated
  5. SIgh (LOL,actually),he's already giving them to me over our daily after school bike rides since the time changed...we had been riding between 10-18 miles around town or to and through the park every evening, now it's growing dark 45-50 minutes after the bus runs...I don't know if I could stand more fake tears (note: it's been a week off the bike, maybe there-in lies some of the neck\back issues the last 2 days, lack of excercise...)
  6. Six...are you kidding? I have like,15-20 counting Fox chassis (including the Fox 4's,the SN95's like my 1:1) and that BOSS of Nick's,LMBO! But yeah,I'm waiting until that one's done, and I make at least a little headway on Nick's first (he's already giving me that pityful puppy-dog-eye'd look "Daddy, when are we going to build on mine?",LOL!). I should have finished that one up today,it has only a little bit left, but I've been nusing issues with the spinal injuries all day (ie: popped a prescirbed pill or two and relaxing\resting). I'll be gettig on it as early as this week at any rate,or as late as next. Yeah,Highland Green Metallic was the standard colors on the Bullitts (on 01's they were also offered in black and blue),and Black was an option on the '08 models...I may just go that route this build,I really like a black Mustang (as looking at yours has me remembering ),though I'd have a bit of extra reseach as to what interior trim colors were on the black cars. I've seen one,but only one ('08. I've seen both green, black and blue 01's). Yeah,I likes the idea of a Black Bullitt, and I may use that resin hood on it too (where's that smilie that looks like one's in deep thought?) Hmmm...that sounds good to my ear,I think I will, and then I should be able to take that "not quite Highland Green" paint back and exchange it for Oxford White, which I'll need to replicate that '79 I owned back in the day
  7. Bradley-I'll have to give em a call tomorrow, see if ordering it is something they'll do,good tip as it didn't occur to me to ask(slapping my head here,LOL!) Jonathan-Pics were worth the wait,it all looks smooth,esPECIALLY that slick spray job!
  8. Looking forward to seeing those pics! I have yet to sit and finish that other project today (I won't be in bed until late though ),and I need to make some head-way on Nick's '70 BOSS (I sure wish Revell would do a '11 G and '12 BOSS 302 ,hint hint if they're watching),but I'll be jumping on the Bullitt soon, though I haven't broke the shrink wrap off it yet. I had been thinking rep-stock,but I got this cool resin cowl hood in from Lex's today...and I couldn't find any Highland Green Metallic, but I found a Duplicolor that I hope will be pretty close. Soon
  9. Can't say as I'd blame ya
  10. Mike-Engine's looking sano,Brother,really clean! Jonathan-So is that body!
  11. Yeah it does
  12. WOW,that's coming together nicely! Looking GOOD
  13. Chassis is done. It sits a bit higher than I'd want...but is right about right for replicating the 1:1,so that's convenient,LOL! A bit of work left on the engine compartment (still need to prime and spray the compartment itself,I forgot it's a snap in piece),interior will be at least started tonight, and I'll touch-up the spots from that Sharpie snafu, and give some of the triim a second coat (switched to a tiny brush after that happened. Not sure at this point if I'll try and cut the side windows out or not,not sure the back of my #11 or saw is that steady... Should be done tomorrow or Tuesday. Here's the latest mock-up shots... More to come
  14. OK,been working on this one today. I have the chassis main colors sprayed (detail painting will follow tonight),as well as the engine\etc,will be spraying the interior a base color (even if primer,so brush panting will adhere better) so I can get that going tonight...I was hand painting the window\body trim (black) and had a slip of the Sharpie a while ago,and since I'm NOT going to strip and respray the whole thing,touch-up will ensue tonight as well. I decided snce I'm wanting to get on another project (REALLYbadly,LOL) soon,I'm skipping the adding of much detail (other than paint),I may still plug-wire it though (yes,I used "plug wire" as a verb,ha! ),we'll see. I'm hoping to finish this one up by tomorrow before bed (which is anywhere between midnight and 4AM,LOL ). More to come.
  15. Me too! 1:1's I knew lots (relatively speaking) about, individual kits? Not-so-much,but IO've learned lots about 'em here Fox-4 guys too,at least on the 1:1 varients, learning lots about the scale veriosns though...actually,I think it's Mustang-wide,not just the Fox\Fox-4 guys
  16. WOW!!! Those are way beyond my skill to bring back ,mad,MAD props for saving these! I have an old glue bomb of a couple myself (one's a Monogram Pace Car,I know it's Mono rather than MPC due to being 1:24-not sure on the other's origins),I'll definately keep watching these, and try and learn a tid-bit or four about restorations, maybe mine ain't so bad afterall. Can't wait to see more!
  17. Duh! I was brain farting
  18. NICE color choice!
  19. WOW that's gunna be killer!
  20. I wasn't laughing at the pic of you,my friend, was too busy drooling over the new Stang you had! That was a sweet ride, wish I had one like it today That will make for a cool and meaningful project
  21. That gives the option of kitbashing different setups,no? Does anybody have any pics of the kit or even boxart yet?
  22. I've been dragging-feet too long on this one, letting things get in the way...it's a simple build even ith the details I'll add,LOL! I'm gunna try and finish it up over the weekend, with clearing\detailing the body possible exceptions. Besides, having only finished ONE kit this year (pre-housefire,unfortunately),and that being a curbside that was alredy 95% complete when it stalled,I NEED to finish one to get my building mojo. Look for updates to be either sporadic or frequent,LOL!
  23. That engine is sic! Awesome detailing, looks 1:1. I NEED to clear some bench\WIP space and get on this one
