NICE! Loving the colors

Are you talking about the big scale GT500,or have they released a this scale version? I'm going to the LHS that was semi-local to the old house today to pic up a layaway (that's long overdue-it includes all the S197's I lost in the fire and a 2010 GT),I'll look see if they have one (this scale...as much as I love the GT500's I won't be building a big scale, don't enjoy em as much) Now I'm all anxious!

+2,VERY nice!

GT500 looks AWESOME,Jonathon!!! :D Rick,I used to run the roads in a four-eyed Fox myself, and wouldn't mind another! If I can't find the perfect minitruck for a daily (to save the mileage on the GT,and to haul bikes and such with),I hope to find another ol Fox (four eyes or not-4 banger automatic...4 banger for MPG's,slushbox so Mama can drive it on occasion as well )...I can slap a 3 bike roof rack on there, and when I need to haul trash and such, fold the rear seats down, slap a hitch on the GT and tow the trailer (which I currently have no way of towing... ) when I need to haul something big, teeheehee! I gots me one of them 2010 GT's on layaway (along with a buttload of Stang kits lost in the house-fire) that I'll be paying on this weekend, picking up soon

IDK if I would say "lack of love"...from '79 to present there's almost a cult-like following (at least in 1:1). I'm all for adding CBP's of the other gens not currently ongoing here! I think it's an awesome idea. Of course, here lately (as in,this year,LOL) I've been having trouble getting me to sit at the bench and build...but I have a few ongoing and a couple wanting started. I also have several parts cars for the S197's (what survived the house fire back in June, not complete kits sadly),one in the stash ('08 Bullitt),and at least one of each on lay-away ('06 GT,all the Shelby varients, and a '10) that I should have already paid\picked up already (soon!). I say go for it,especially with the open end date (as in "to infinity and beyond!" )

No work done on em since last update. My ability to ride bikes comes in spells,so since I'm enjoying a good spell lately (despite that tree trying to behead me,LOL),been doing more pedalling than anything,LOL! It can't last much longer though (it never does),I'll get back on these soon. Until then however, more of this... http://disabledcycli...er-262011-ride/- 106 replies

4 Bangen: that thing looks MEAN as all get out! Abell82-Man,that' thing's coming together, looking sweet in the suede! I have yet to get a Fox started. Been piddling with a CBP build over on another (my) forum, but since the ability only comes in spells with my old injuries,I've been doing this http://disabledcyclist.wordpress.com/2011/10/26/wednesday-october-262011-ride/ a bit more than sitting and building lately,LOL! -

Thanks for the encouraging words,my friend. About 5 or so hours after you were posting that,I was smacking a fallen tree hanging about forhead level (wasn't there last ride I had there...but that was 4-5 months ago when I lived that way before the fire),doing about 22 MPH. Saw it just in time to look down (no time to duck),saving face (literally,LOL). Split my helmet (I wanted a new one anyways ),but I didn't wreck. I was riding alone,BTW. Dazed n disoriented, but knowing I wasn't right,I pedaled back the way I came (about 6 miles, way closer than going on around),and had 2 minor mishaps I wouldn't have had I not been dazed, lost a bit of shin skin (I remember that one),and have a puncture about dime sized, along with moderately severe trail rash (think, road rash but with dirt imbedded instead of gravel from pavement) and deep bruising in the left rear thigh (thankfully, have no memory of that one, hahaha!). Drove to the ER (where thankfully, they're familiar with my spinal injuries, having been my local doctor's office in that hospital),had an xray confirmed mild concussion,as well as knocked my cervical spinal area (my problem area anyways, why I'm "disabled") out of whack. They spent the next few hours slowly manipulating the cervicals back into (my normal) alignment (which is screwed anyways where I broke the neck a decade ago). I'm doing OK today,a bit stiff and sitting is still tender, but boy howdy am I milking it for all it's worth No worries...this by FAR ain't the first time I's been slammed when doing something I love outdoors,LOL,and I'm used to a bit of constant pain in the neck area anyways,so it's all good,so long as the wife doesn't think about what coulda been with my old injuries. In my absense from the bench though,it's been converted to a junk table ,I'm going to have to clean it off. I did get another shipment in from eBay today though (last one for a while),including a sealed NIB MPC '79 Pace Car kit OK,sorry, rambling a bit. I almost never take my (prescribed) pain meds, but been "on schedule" with them since Sunday when I got home, makes me blabberfinger a bit- 106 replies

Fox Chassis (Ford) community build anyone?
Olskoolrodder replied to whale392's topic in Community Builds
The chassis is under the car...but that's all that's there,LOL,no suspension at all. And yeah,I know wheels are only a biggie if you're doing a rep-stock and can't find a set. I'm sure that once I actually get to go to the old house with a full 1/2 day (and some light,LOL),I'll find buttloads of potential wheel swaps in boxes that have a few parts left that didn't melt. I need to hurry and get to the bench and get that pair of SN95's done (or close to it) so's I can get on a Fox...as small as my bench is (despite having a good design for work space and storage),I'll only ever try and have 2-3 projects ongoing at a time (which I sorta have going now...you know,if I was actually getting to the bench and working on em,LOL). The PLAN for tomorrow is stay home, and get some building done. That's the plan anyways . I'd like to start a series every other build or so of 1:1's I've owned in the past...the first 6-8 have been kitted if I can find em,LOL,and there was a pair of Turbo Coupe T-Birds owned back to back ('88 then '87) I could build too....ah,plans -

Good to know! I'll dig it out of the shed tomorrow and see exactly how much I have. I'm thinking chassis with no suspension bits though (and no wheels came with any of em). -
Fox Chassis (Ford) community build anyone?
Olskoolrodder replied to whale392's topic in Community Builds
Well,I for one could use that info, and (soon as I get another printer,or I could scoot to the library) would print it out,use a 3 hole-hole puncher and pop it in a binder for a quick referance I used to do that with tutorials/info I found helpful, but (here it comes again,LOL) they all burned up,LOL! I have two busted up glue bombs (that look to me about too far gone and not enough there, they were "thrown in the box cause they knew I liked Mustangs" on some trades a while back*),one an original release SVO one a '91-ish ragtop GT,both 1:24...you're right, identical (save for the SVO's single exhaust). I also have 2 1:25 scalers (in as bad/worse shape),a Pace'r and a non (Pace Car)...besides just the scale diff's they're a bit different,so I'm assuming they're the MPC versions (the Pace'r has the 2.3L/4 spd and T Tops-I also have most of a '99 Cobra glue bomb FWIW-*all these thrown in the same box). I kept em mainly incase I ever did a junk yard diorama or in case I could use any parts. They're most likely beyond my capabilities of restoring, and missing lots, but neat to have,LOL! None of em have enogh suspension parts to build, and no wheels what-so-ever,LOL! -

1) LMBO,sorry 2) That sounds like a bit of work, but like an AWESOME idea...even for a print article 3) That's probably the one I was watching (until the last second),it finally sold for $7.49 + shipping -

That's what I had figured (same kit diff decals) Thanks for the info on the differences between the MPC and Monogram Pacer's. I had the Monogram like I said,no longer though. I'll be watching for em both on eBay as I have a little extra $ (that's not too often,BTW,LMBO!). Man,I wish I'd have bought it now (the GLX ragtop),LOL! And happy bidding,I don't mind losing to a friend,LOL,but hate it just thinking about it going to someone who'd never build it,just sit it on a shelf collecting dust,LOL,that'd just be...wrong -
Fox Chassis (Ford) community build anyone?
Olskoolrodder replied to whale392's topic in Community Builds
Yeah,I see some of it now (most notibly the quarter windows and the bits in front of the rear wheelwell). Still, makes for a really nice (if technically inaccurate) conversion to my eye. If it's a lot of hassle/trouble,please don't,but otherwise I wouldn't mind that parts list myself I just scored these off eBay (will be Paypalling the dude after making a deposit tomorrow,LOL),NIB. My Dad had an '81 hatchback (2.3L/4 speed) about the time I had my last Mustang before the current one I have now (he drove it daily to work,he also bought TWO LX's new in '88,both that medium blue metallic color-1 a 5.0L 5 spd,the other a 2.3L 5 spd,his and hers). That's the car I learned to drive on (my '79 was my second car at 17,he had that '81 from '81-90),and I thought it'd be neat to build a semi-replica of it,assuming I can source a 2.3L/5 speed in 1:25. Know anything about these kits (inaccuracies, building snafu's,etc)? I STILL need to score myself another '79 Indy car (one of my grail kits). I had the Monogram one in the old house but it melted. Watching a couple on eBay right now. Knowing the Monogram is the 1:24 and the MPC a 1:25,what are the other diff's between them (one's a t-top,one's a sunroof, one has a 2.3L turbo the other a 302...but which is which? I never got around to building mine, and did I mention about my memory? LOL)....if you don't mind my picking your brain a bit. Also,I passed on a Monogram '84 GLX ragtop kit that went pretty cheap NIB...should I have (instead of one of these I mean)? LOL,sorry!
