  1. Okay, I'm still having micro blow torch issues here yet but I'm doing what I can though. I got the trans tunnel solder into place and am working on soldering in the floor pans now.
  2. Hi you all, my hand is still in the healing stages yet and starting to do well and move like it always did. Yes I know the owners. The thing is this, the dog was dropped off and lefted. My wife called and called got voice mails each time. Then I had her dial the woman back as I had sure and bleeding hand. I left a rude message for both owners. The seconds letter my wife got a call back from the owners. They was pose to come back and get there dog at 3PM last Friday. By 9PM after calls and calls and calls it was then clear they wasn't planning to come and get the dog at all so I had to call my mother-in-law in as shes a full member of the animal place and have her make the owners come and get the dog. My brother-in-law couldn't even get up close to the dog.. only the one owner could.
  3. I might have to post pone my model projects for the time being due to it's hard to type with one hand right as I was bitten by a rotyler/lab mix dog the other day. Right hand 4 fingers got it good, I can't bend two of the 4 fingers that was bitten. So I might be offline for afew weeks maybe.
  4. Hi you all, well progress for this model has been being made. I decided to build a new floor pan/cockpit area out of different thickness of brass's. I still have not got the mirco blow torch working right, so I'm doing what can with the one I built. Plus I'm using different sizes of silver soldier as well. Anyways here is some photos of what I been doing.
  5. John, thanks also for the photo, it does help out. I been busy with afew projects that is going on. This project is being rebuilt kinda. I decided to take and rebuild the floor pan and cockpit area using brass of different thickness's.
  6. Man I love also watching your builds too, keep up the great work John!
  7. I love watching your updates, it keeps me going at times on mine! Keep up the great work and please keep sharing those updates on here.
  8. Talk about the Bare Metal Foil leaving go, yep I had the same issue about 5 years ago with store bought BMF. After that I decided to make my own I either use the aluminum foil for bbqs and spray glue OR I use the aluminum duct tape. At lease with the making of your own BMF you have a choice of either a bright shiny side OR a dull looking side for the same price at one time. I would clear coat first and the BMF second.
  9. Bill, you are correct about it all depends on the model it self. I'm sorry if I came off at you all alittle to hard. What I meant to say is for the folks that are doing where to doors swing out by the fenders, if they want to have the doors open correct is reverse the pivot point and instead of having the door swing outwards it would swing inwards. Again you all, I want to apologize if I came off alittle harsh the other day at you all.
  10. You all know, anyone can opening up a model car door, anyone can hinge them.. But the way I seen done on the doors in this thread, is no the correct way though. All I seen is doors opening like on diecast vehicles out wards which is very much incorrect to the real vehicles, so me one door on a real car that swings out past the fender. The correct way is to use the other end of you all door hinge idea on the door and fender, the front of the door swings inwards not out past the fender. By turning you all door hinges hinge pivit point around on the tube on the doors and the wire on the fenders will make the doors open correct and door fronts swing inward not outwards (like on diecasts).
  11. You have my prayers man.
  12. Sweet! I love 2nd gen chargers.
  13. Prayers goes out to him, get well soon and fast.
  14. Not to get into this or interrupt you all, but I think it's worth paying for the Live Gold for 3 months or even 60 for 12 months. I tried both consoles just for the record. LOL
  15. Sorry to hear the sad news, lost both my parents back in 2003. 8 months apart.
  16. Um.. did Corevett and Dodge have an affair? I see Dodge Magnum rear and Corevett/Viper(?) front end. I see vet doors though. I like the car though.
  17. I have 3 builds going on, on here to keep my mind going LOL. But I wanted to share a link and thread on the work bench here as I fill the thread would fit better on the work bench better then in the other area because I am working on building the project and it's on my work bench. So I will be updating as I make progress. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67220 Plus I'm not much into NASCAR really but here and there, so maybe any pointers in certain areas by fans out there would be more help.
  18. Nice! I love it and am diggin the work alot. Keep up the great work man.
