  1. Another looksee I hope you all enjoyed the update.
  2. I know, I have the frame rail on the wrong side of the trunk pan.. it should be under it LOL Test fitting with another chassis to see how it looks, the front area will be up higher on the new frame
  3. Okay, back to the rear of the project.. ah ah rear of the project LOL Now the fun begins here... the trunk pan in the making
  4. Marking things out Trying to locate the rear leaf hangers connection area on the rail Plus some work on the grill, I scribe out the areas around the grill face
  5. Thank you all for the kind comments, comments are always welcome. Yea I do like to push myself to do better on each project I do. I also like to get each project to look real much as I can. I like to open the door and trunks up on my projects and the worst thing if open a trunk up to a model that has a unrealistic trunk to it like these chargers does and a lot of other model vehicles out there that does. I understand why people put trunk mats in there models for LOL. Anyways I got some stuff done yesterday on this build. If things goes right, things for this build can help out yet another charger build that I have going on that is a AMT charger. Anyways here's some updates. I hope you enjoy them. Drilling new holes out in the frame
  6. Thanks Tony, to be honest, I always thought Revell was good at details and got there stuff right on. I was surprise when I was looking at the grill plate and realized something didn't look right. Then I notice the grill was more squeezed in place on there charger models. Now don't get me wrong here, Revell does some good models and at times even the good company's can over look stuff in details and place them in the wrong location or make them to thick LOL. I know making the rear frame rails with the correct bends is hard even with me looking at my real '68 charger. I think of Revell and Meabus(sp) is the two goodest model car company's out there. With me rebuilding things here. It makes it more fun for me.
  7. A few more mock ups here I hope you all like the update. Sorry for all the photos.
  8. Trying to get the right angles Here you can see the differents in the rails, the pass side one is being shape into the right angles The on for a mock up
  9. Here is the original hood I used to draw on to the temp I mad First primer to see where I need to work at more While I work here and there on the under side of the hood, I also moved to rear of the project redoing a frame rail to make into a master to make a brass one
  10. Under side of the hood Checking things out with the real one and the model version Okay, I decided to take another hood that I had in the parts box and draw the stuff out on it and go thinner and it be a lot faster to
  11. Checking things out I am going to removing the hood latch unit
  12. Okay, I reprimered it and got a little more done Testing the grill and hood alinement It's hard to see things when they are white Reprimed again
  13. Mock up. without the grill and with the grill in Hook on for a mock up All in primer to see what needs attending to yet
  14. Checking for clearance The hood One piece was to high and facing a little off Adding more detail
  15. Starting to look more like a charger grill plate now
  16. Marking out locations Adding detail now Under the hood side too Checking out the fitments
  17. Started to remove plastic Added evergreen to the pass side fender All 3 pieces got the evergreen added The top plate of the grill frame also is having evergreen added as well for that over hang over the top of the grill
  18. Here is the looks I am going for and the drop of the stuff as well Now the hood
  19. Sanded the incorrect stuff off Okay found out the grill and bumper had to come apart for things to look right
  20. Checking things out yet You see where the grill is at? I need to add a strip of stryne there and drop the grill down
  21. Here is one piece that made me laugh. The bolts on this piece are infact on the wrong side and piece. These bolts and fasteners should in fact be on the grill piece not the top plate.. Lining things up Getting ready to mod the pieces. Checking to see how far and what needed to be done Here you can see I need to drop things down a little. So I will be adding stryne
  22. With the thickness of the plastic, I am trimming things down a little. Here is the 1969 grill and bumper I sanded off the incorrect detail that was on top A test fit and a mock up to see how things looked so far Hood fit mock up
  23. Now if you look close, you can see I started to mod the support in these photos. Here I started to adjust the front fenders as well, also if you look close you can also see where I added a new cross brace to the support as well. A much smaller one that looks to me more correct to how big the real ones are on the rear ones. The whole rad support is still in the rough stages yet.
  24. Okay first off, the front clip you see in some of the photos or alot of them are of a shell that took a dive off a shelf 5 years ago and on the way down knocked a box over and the box had landed on it smashing it. So I kapt the stuff anyways. Figure it would come in handy down the road like now. It's a stand in front clip for the other part of the build here. I am rebuilding the rad support with more detail to it, plus the grill frame top area as well. The mock up with kit factory original.
