  1. WHAT?????? You want to be at my skill level?????? That's a joke!!!! You are one of the best modelers I have seen!!!! Please make me look good and show me that 1/12 scale Camaro you built, that thing was awesome!!
  2. We are really getting hit hard by this snow storm so I took advantage of some time and in between shoveling and building, I finished off the bumpers. I think this kit has one of the most beautifully detailed bumpers of any other kit out there, specially the rear ones with those beautiful tail lights!! Hosted on Fotki If you guys notice, in this picture I had to scrape off part of the chrome on the side. A lot of modelers forget about this small detail when building this kit. The body actually extends all the way up to the edge of the headlights! Hosted on Fotki As you can see by the 1/1 photo, it's pretty visible. I believe it's probably some sort of vinyl or plastic extension, don't think is part of the actual body!! Hosted on Fotki I want to thank my very good friend, Luis Ayala in Puerto Rico for reminding me of this small detail, he told me about the little issues he had while building his and I am thankful for his input!!
  3. Nice tutorial on Bare Metal Foil application!! http://italianhorses.net/Tutorials/BareMetalFoil/bmf.htm
  4. Thread is worthless without pictures!!!
  5. In my humble opinion, nothing works better than the Micro Mesh System when used correctly!! I like to use Maguiar's cleaner wax after using the Micro Mesh System and finish off with a quality chamois to remove the wax!!
  6. Thanks Kevin! I am planning on using Tamiya Insignia White for the roof, it will give it a slightly different shade of white and it will also make it look a little used instead of it being so bright!!
  7. I'm hipnotized between your model and your avatar!!
  8. I am taking advantage of these days off because of all this snow and decided to paint this thing today. The wife is shopping with the daughter and it's the perfect storm of tranquility to get some stuff done!!! I decided to go with a Tamiya Pearl clear, after 3 coats of the pearl, I finished off with 4 more coats of the regular Tamiya Clear, didn't want to wetsand and poslish straight on the pearl coat.... 9. Awesome bro, the combination of colors makes for a nice contrast overall!! Chassis looks great too!!
  10. Admit it Gregg, you had nightmares about that stuck gas pedal!!!!
  11. Well, I don't have any work tomorrow, it's one of the good things about working in a University! I think I will be taking advantage of the day off and doing a little painting tomorrow!!
  12. Perfectly done man, love the colors chosen for body and interior!!

    Gorgeous!!
  14. Just awesome and very creative my friend!!!
  15. Just heard we are suppose to be getting another storm soon, probably another 20 inches!!
  16. Congratulations, New Orleans deserved this!
  17. You and Cranky do the best weathering work among the forum members, I would love to learn how to do that, it's definitely an art!!
  18. Thanks Randy, I didn't do anything to the carpet since it was pretty well detailed, I just painted it with some paints I had lying around my room. The color is closer to a shade of blue rather than green as in the case of the Hampstead Green. Hosted on Fotki The color is Persian Aqua from the old Rainbow Products paint system no longer available. I will be doing the body in the same color even though I primed the body with white primer rather than gray like in the case of the interior. I still wanted to make sure that the interior was a bit darker than the body. I will be going with a white vinyl top! I was pleasantly surprised to see Norm involved in the design of the photo-etch sheet, that is why, including you, we are all so proud to know him as a great resin caster and best of all, as a very good friend!!
  19. Thank God for photo-etch!! Nothing works better to simulate so many things!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Interior is complete, took some time out today to start priming the body for paint, after all this snow, I will start painting this ######!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  20. There is a big snow storm hitting us soon in the East Coast, what are you guys doing in the meantime? I know I will be trying to finish some stuff since I will be stuck indoors for quite a while!!
  21. Very cool mi pana!!! I love it!!!
  22. That snow will definitely be higher than the patented "Arter Rake"!!!!
  23. I personally use them wet, they last longer without the need to clean them. They do have a shelf life after several uses so it might be time to replace them. Word of advice, when you do get your new ones, take it very easy when starting to use them, they really eat up a lot of paint when new, specially the workhorse 3200 grit!
  24. I'm loving this Bob, phenomenal work as usual!
  25. Almost done with the interior! Got my P/E detail set in the mail today and started using it by installing the key chain and keys on the dashboard!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
