  1. Shame on you! Picking on a little car like that! You otta be ashamed of yourself, if anything, do it for the car's honor, not the girl!!! Good luck anyway, you're gonna need it.....
  2. Very cool Ron, color goes well with it!!!

  5. If you don't give up it will definitely be worth all the effort, not only is this a unique build, it's also a beautiful model, good luck and thanks for sharing!!!
  6. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki If any of you have any of these models and would like to make me an offer to sell them, I will be very interested!!!

  8. Great job with a lot of detail!
  9. Thanks Russell! I like to use Maguiar's Cleaner Wax to remove all swirl marks and then finish off with The Treatment Model Car Wax which has Carnuba wax in it.
  10. Virgil, with talent like yours, I always ask myself, why the heck am I building for???? These are some great painting and building lessons!!!! Will you ever make it to our NNL East some time? Would love to meet you bro!!!!!
  11. Okay, let me say it with a picture, in the case of my current Hurst Olds project, I wetsanded my paint with the Micro Mesh system, added my decals and polished everything including the decals. You can also finish with wax if you so desire. The thing is, you should be okay to place your decals after wetsanding the car and then worry about your polishing and waxing at the end. Just make sure that your decals are completely dry, in my case, I waited a whole day for this. I could have waited a few hours, didn't want to.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki It's hard to see the gloss since it's painted white but believe me,it's there, this car does not have any clear added to the paint. I believe that once you polish and wax the car at the end with your decals in place, you will like how everything just blends in nicely. Decals don't stick too well on waxed surfaces, just stay away from that and you should be okay!!!
  12. Incredible detail, very cool!!
  13. Great tip Bob, didn't know about this tape. I will be purchasing some soon and save my valuable and expensive Tamiya tape!!
  14. OH! This is permanent bro, I tested this on a spare body and tried scraping it and couldn't do it. It might not be permanent in other mediums but for this application, it's perfect, this thing ain't coming off!!
  15. WOW!! I love this thing Tommy!!! Great detail work!!
  16. Awesome!!
  17. Same here my friend, same here!!!!
  18. Thanks Kevin! I don't clear my decals, cars of this era did not have clear over decals. Once I am done with the polishing, I place the decals and then finish off everything with a nice waxing job!!!
  19. I have been playing with some spare tires I had laying around, can't promise these will ultimately be the ones to add to the kit though. I am still waiting on Norm from Replicas and Miniatures to show me the ones he has and I will make my decision. In the meantime, I painted the Good Year logo with Tamiya white paint and also added the gold color on the rims. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I still have to add the wheel from behind if I decide to use these, this will place the rim in a more proper and tight position instead of just dangling there....
