  1. Nice bro, all the small subtle details are important to ultimately achieve a nice, clean and professional model! I will be following this so please, keep posting progress pictures, greatly appreciated!!
  2. I was greatly surprised last Saturday while at our Monthly meeting by one of our Junior modelers, his name is Alex Forrester. While choosing one of the kits on sale at the meeting to add to my collection, he tells me he has a surprise for me and hands me one of his models on display on the tables. He tells me that the reason he wanted to do this was because I gave him a Ferrari about 2 years ago and that he never forgot my gesture. I wish I could do this for hundreds of other Junior modelers so that I might have a better chance to keep this hobby alive in the years to come. It was really special to me and I will always appreciate his gesture, he truly is a great kid, of course, thanks to his Dad who is also a great modeler and friend. I am sure that when he gets older, he will be a force to be reckoned with at the model contests which makes this gift an even more valuable one!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki If you guys look at this build you just might understand what I am saying about this 13 year old kid, his work is amazing and yes, he did it all by himself, ain't it grand??? He also had another great model at the table, a very nice Model King Tempest with a faded paint job and all, "I've never done a faded paint job myself" Well, I will admit it right now, I don't want to see him at the contest tables with his models next to mine!! Hosted on Fotki It isn't everyday that a Junior modeler does something like this specially with such a great build, I am really excited to share this with you guys so that you can see that not all kids out there are "hipnotized" with the video games only. By the way, Mike, his Dad, had a very nice ongoing project on the primer tables himself, only there was no primer but a gorgeous paint job and perfectly applied BMF on it, I was loving this thing!!! Hosted on Fotki What do you guys think???
  3. Very cool and creative Raul, never thought you could do this with that chassis!!!! Paint is great too....
  4. Even more photos and yes, different photographer!! http://public.fotki.com/MCRUZ1/cpmcc-meeting-1/
  5. Very cool Jeff, the shade of blue is gorgeous and the interior and uptop really gives it a nice contrasting look!!
  6. Very cool Lyle, color is phenomenal and I love the Bob Dudek tail lights!!
  7. I just changed my "skins" to comfy and were able to use the chat feature at last, thanks for the help guys.....
  8. I have tried everything guys, I know this can't be that hard, I just don't see the reply or write options in there either on top or bottom of page.....
  9. I have tried everything my friend, can't write anywhere......
  10. When you say in there, where in there? I have tried everything, can't seem to write anywhere.....

  16. Wow!!! Caught me by surprise!! Like everything, we will get used to it, I think it's cool!! I will try posting a picture to see how it feels!!! Hosted on Fotki
  17. Thanks Dave, I completed that model close to 12 years or so ago, I remember I was using Testor's enamel paints so the shiny coat you see is just a lot of clear enamel shot at one time, I didn't even know what wet sanding even meant at the time.... Furthermore, I didn't even own a digital camera at the time......
  18. Sorry guys, it's the Hasegawa kit that I am using for the mock up.......
  19. I have been checking out the new Revell Samba VW Bus and I am liking it more and more, I have not purchased one yet but now I will since I started playing around with these Pegasus sleeves and Revell Porsche rims from an old build..... Hosted on Fotki As you can see, I had to patiently sand off the rims to get them to fit behind the sleeves just as I did for my recent Vega build, these required lots of sanding but the results are truly nice, once I finish sanding the rest, I will Alclad them in chrome and install them later!! Hosted on Fotki This is the Revell kit I took the rims from. I am using the Fujimi 23 window kit just to have an idea how they will look on the Revell kit once I purchase it, I used the tires from a Fujimi Trueno kit and they fit perfect on these sleeves! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I don't know how long this is going to take me to complete, I have to build a '41 Willys kit for a friend before I decide on this one so hopefully I will finish it soon. I am not the type of builder that can have 2 projects going at the same time but I might just make an exception here, the Willys project is a simple one, pretty much an out of the box build
  20. Just be happy you didn't get more than 17 inches in your "back yard" man!!!! I personally got quite a few in the front as you can see.... Hosted on Fotki
  21. We got hit pretty hard and expecting a few more inches by the time everything is said and done, here are a few pictures I took about 2 hours ago (10:30am Eastern time.) Hosted on Fotki The Accord is my wife's car, the Ram is mine, didn't even bother to take the snow off the truck, I ain't going nowhere Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Here is Buddy, one of my two Yorkies braving the elements, the other one is somewhere under the snow....
