  1. Anybody know if MCG has a photo-etch detail set for this car? If so, I might just be doing mine as soon as I can get it....
  2. Sorry my friend, gave it away to a friend....
  3. Excellent work man and welcome to the forum, I know you will fit right in here!!!
  4. Took some outside pics today, this is more of the true hue!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  5. Thanks guys!!! Dave, it was a pleasure meeting you, obviously you did good with your models also since our vice president wanted to add them to the model of the month honors on our web-page, that Dart was really sweet man!!!!!

  7. Harry, leave me alone, this is my restored fantasy!!!! I could have painted the chassis pink and it's still my restored fantasy!!!
  8. Very cool, I did the same thing to the Speed Wagon from Revell years ago, looks much better than the decals in the kit. The only difference with mine is that I actually removed the plastic panels entirely, a lot more work but I liked it, by the look of your build I am seeing that there was no need for that, even though the reason I did it on mine was to make sure that the panels had some depth to them.... Also love the color combo you chose, I think it will be a great model when done!!
  9. Okay, for those of you who can't live without adding BMF to louvers, here it is.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I also added the door handle key locks which I had forgotten to add.... Hosted on Fotki Now I don't have to listen to Lyle tomorrow at the meeting talking about the missing BMF on the stupid rear lights..... Then again, I am doomed if I wear my Yankee gear but, between you and I, we Yankee fans love to be hated!!!
  10. Thanks Jay, I will be taking some photos outside soon, I do have this photo I took outside during the building process, it will show more of the true color. I still have to add the door locks under the door handles and also finish BMFing the tail light grilles, after this I will shoot more pictures outside!! Hosted on Fotki
  11. Very cool but, where are the rest of the pictures???
  12. I'm still cracking up with this picture, I knew you had some sinister ideas when you snapped it but I must admit it is too funny and very creative!!! Thank you all for your comments, certainly appreciated. John, I will be in the MAMA meeting tomorrow so make sure to bring your Impala, it would be an honor to place mine next to yours!! I live in Abingdon off exit 77 on I-95! The color is Dupli-Color GM Dark Blue with Odds and Ends clear!! By the way, since our club president is so strict with his club members, I will be foiling the tail light grilles some time soon!! I ask myself every day, why did I vote for him to "reign" for another year???

  14. Finally decided to finish this thing tonight, might still have some little details here and there to add but nothing big, hope you guys like it!!! I will be shooting some pictures outside when I am able to and when the sun decides to cooperate but in the meantime, this is it Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  15. I'm sorry guys, don't know what came over me.....
  16. Thank you Kevin as well as the rest of the fellas!! The shade of white I used for the interior is Tamiya's Insignia White, comes in a spray can and in my opinion has a nice sheen to it even though you can still make it a tad glossier to give it that "Armor All" look. The key chain w/ keys is supplied w/ the photo-etch kit, I too liked the idea...
  17. Yes brother, I am still trying to figure out how am I to do that chrome trim on such a small space, I'll come up with something.... Perhaps very small strips of BMF????
  18. Okay guys, it's been quite a while since the last time I posted any pictures of the progress of this build, I will not bore you with details because a picture says a thousand words. I just finished adding some photo-etch detail and interior work along with the completed and painted rims and tires. I should be done with this build by the end of this week, at least I hope...... Terrific job on this my friend!!!
  24. Let me just add that I too enjoy this hobby immensely. Even though I have been building for a long time, it wasn't until I moved here to Maryland about 12 years ago that I really got more into it. I have met a lot of good people specially since joining my clubs, it's a real inspiration when you have people sharing the same passion for building models as you do. There are times when I don't feel like being at the bench for one reason or the other but I am sure we all go through these little slumps.
  25. Looks like a good save!!
