  5. Great, I will see you guys up there!!!!!
  6. I did mine with wood and used an inductor for a fan. These inductors are usually installed between vents to move heat to the farthest rooms from the heat source in bigger houses. They have the electrical connections right on the outside so that you can hook them up any way you wish. They are usually hooked up to thermostats and stuff but all you have to do is splice and install an extension cord right onto them. I installed mine about three years ago and have not had any issues. I just ran some 4" flexible clothes dryer vent right outside the house and that's it. These inductors come in 8" and 4" wide sizes, I went with an 8" and bought some reducing vent couplers to go from 8 to 4 inch flexible dryer vent material. Pretty good at sucking all the paint fumes right outside the side of my house!!!
  7. Looks like an interesting color, I did a Tamiya Chrome Yellow F-430 and thought it looked good in that color.....
  8. OH NOOOOOOOOOOO! Not you, how the heck am I going to win!!! Just bsing my friend, it would be a pleasure to talk and share with you again!!! Make sure to bring that awesome VW which will be winning best of show!!!
  9. Very cool, love that body style in that year!!!
  10. Nice work on this Z, love the rims and stance!!!!!
  11. That's looking good, definetly the best VW kit manufactured. I did one about 5 years ago and sold it a few weeks ago but will definetly be picking another one up. There is one in my local Hobby shop that has been there for weeks, I am thinking about going this wednesday and picking it up, it's been calling my name for the longest and I don't want to dissapoint it! I will build it completely stock like I did the first one, I also have a Hasegawa curbside and I am thinking about doing it California style w/ Porsche rims and all that good stuff!!!! Good luck on this one, It really is a beautiful kit and very impressive when done right!!!
  12. Good to see you back man, I think that if you do several "quickie" projects and get away from the heavy detailing for a while it would really be a great idea, I saw Bill Geary doing it with his Mustang and his Magnum along several other builds and he looks happier nowadays!! But seriously, I think it really does help specially among you really talented, scratchbuilding gurus! Just glad to see you back, I knew that at sometime or the other it was going to happen. I am kinda slow myself these days, other reasons though but I will be back!!!
  13. As usual, phenomenal work on this my friend, these are the only Nascar models I would put together if I was to build one. Decals and paint are great!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
  14. You are right Tom, we are a pretty loyal and friendly group of guys. Yesterday's meeting was in the eve of Hurricane Hanna coming up along the coastline and there was a lot of rain but even through that, attendance was pretty much the same as usual!!! We are already getting prepared for next weekend as we have our September Showdown contest, wish you could make it w/ all your great stuff....
  15. Thanks for the pictures Lyle, here is another link to more pictures!!!!! http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/mmm...eting%209-6-08/
  16. Like all your stuff, very cool Tom, this is exactly what I am going for with my '68 Charger also, not much noise. The white really goes nice with this car!!! Did you use a clear on that or did you just rub out the white??? Excellent job!!!
  17. The texture on the kit's floor comes like that but you can definetly use the same trick I used on the roof. I will be adding floor mats, these are being done w/ embossing powder!
  18. This is my little private corner of the world!! In the basement next to the washer and drier!!!
  19. Great to see you are sharing your building techniques w/ this project John, will definetly be following this thing from start to end!!!
  20. I was going to suggest that but thought it was more fun seeing you suffer through the polishing progress!!! Are you using a clear on that?
  21. Terrific job Bob, I love it!!!!!
  22. Fantabulous!!!!
  23. Looks intimidating, sweet build!!!!
  24. Very cool man!!! Pictures bring out the true beauty of the build too!!!!!
  25. Thanks George, I will see if I can somehow make that chrome look a bit more like brushed aluminum, the ball on the shifter will also be painted later.
