  1. Thanks Bill, that's what I found to be true also, as a matter of fact the hobby store had both but I opted for the Plastruct brand. I will also keep you in mind in case of any questions around this build, I still remember your Daytona Charger. As a matter of fact, can you do me a little favor??? Can you please post several pictures of the undercarriage of that model in my thread here? I want to make sure I get most of the chassis detail painting right. Thanks in advance my friend!!!
  2. That thing came out sweet my friend, engine looks monstrous on that thing. You just gave me more desire to finish mine, even though it will be more timid than yours!!!
  3. Wow!! That thing looks like it comes out of the assembly line just like that, what an awesome idea!! I want to see some paint on this beast already. Nice job Bob!!
  4. Just finished installing the vinyl trim. I was kind of afraid that the corners weren't going to match and give me the "V" look I was going for, I think I am happy not to mention lucky!! Next I will be placing the ones on the roof, should be easier so I hope to have the same luck there!! Just tell me if I am boring you guys with this, I am kinda yawning myself!!
  5. I am w/ you Bill, I hate automatic transmissions. It's just funny at least to me, seeing these guys buying Corvettes and high performance vehicles w/ an automatic transmission! What's the fun in that???
  6. Thanks for all the great ideas guys, today I got some progress done on the engine. Installed the gas line, distributor wires and some hoses here and there. Still have a lot to do to finish this thing but all in due time...... The decal on the top of the engine was a pain to put in place, I had to cut it and install it in phases, no way you can get this thing to lay flat on that kind of uneven surface. Other than that, everything else went smoothly. Thanks for looking!!!
  7. Welcome to the board my friend!!!!
  8. OH OH! Keith is at it again!!! Another rust bucket!! Looks good man....
  9. I respect that but the fact of the matter is that either way you look at it it has definetly gotten away from that mindset. I mean, what can be done? Can it be changed and would that change be productive? What are the alternatives? Personally I go to these events to get together w/ the guys and have fun. If I get a trophy or an award along the way it's just icing on the cake and if I make the magazine, better yet! Again, to me it's just fun, that's my mindset.
  10. Sweet and simple, make this pastime fun!
  11. Seems to me that this was added as the events kept happening. It has been this way for years and I don't see it changing. My opinion is that since I don't think it will change just make sure not to register your model for the voting process if you don't want to participate, we do have that option no???
  12. Can't wait to see that thing with a coat of paint Iz!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
  13. Thanks for the update Bob!!!
  14. Wow Clay, thanks, I will buy it and compare it with the one I am doing. Didn't know this thing was out! Don't you just love this forum?
  15. Okay, a little more of an update on this thing. I am happy that I kept the Pro Modeller Charger as it has been an important part of the mock up process of the build. As you can see, the stance is horrific, I will definetly be working around that to lower it, not a lot but enough that it will look more correct. I am happy I decided to use the '66 Lindberg tires for this, they are the same size heightwise as these but they are a little wider, much better for this application. Those are the redlines that come in the kit, what a joke, sometimes I think Revell just likes to play with our feelings
  16. Cool idea!!
  17. Hurts me just looking at that thing cut up in that manner!! Interesting work!!
  18. Viva Malaysia and welcome to the forum!!!
  19. Nice work Tim. I understand what Harry is saying and he is right, it is a car forum. Personally it doesn't bother me in the least bit to see this subject come up in the forum, I always say that you learn from anything done in scale. I have always loved the subject myself, never really got deep into it because I spend enough money on my models as it is. I don't want it to go as far as people starting to post tanks and stuff but it's a little healthy once in a while I also think that it's posted in the right place so I will be checking in from time to time just to see what's going on!!!
