  1. Well, what can I say, you know how much I like Cudas!!!! This really came out nice my friend, glad to see it finished, color is perfect also. Love the deep wheels in the back, congratulations on a job well done with a beautiful kit to start!!!
  2. Looks awesome Tom!!! Nice job on that resin Ariel!!! Maybe I can display my Merc next to this next year at Wayne!!!!
  3. This is turning out to be a very nice build, I am currently working on one myself, haven't had too much time lately to dedicate to the progresss but it's good to see that someone else is, I think it's a great kit myself. Good luck w/ yours!!!
  4. Nice John, I have about 5 of those kits and have never put one together, I think I will have to do something about that!! Love the color you chose for this and the stance is just perfect!!
  5. Phenomenal job John, love everything you put on the table man! Looks real good in red and w/ the rally wheels you just can't go wrong!!!
  6. Nice job Chris, love the color. Advice, you are wrong when you say it doesn't photograph well, take a picture of the model just like you did under the bright sun but put in under a shadow, it will definetly pop, the metallics in the paint don't make it look right under direct sunlight! That's the reason why you say it doesn't photograph right. I don't mean to sabotage your thread here my friend, forgive me for that, but take a look at my Impala pictures below, one is under direct sunlight and the other is on the shadows. Now you tell me if your model will not photograph well!! As you can see the first thing that pops out is the gloss on your paint just like the gloss in the first pictures you took of your Porsche. I always tell the guys that we have to remember that no matter which metallic paint we use for our models, the scale we are working with just doesn't lend itself for accuracy with metallic paints. I try to keep that at a minimum when photographing my models. I am by no means an expert on photography but when it comes to working the camera around scaled down models I am very picky. Your build is very clean and unique because of the color you chose, believe me it will photograph nicely. By the way, the camera I own is a Sony 8.1 Meg. Cyber Shot, nothing out of the ordinary because like I said, I am no pro!!!
  7. What??? And take the fun of fixing it out of the picture??? No shortcuts man!!!! I really think it could be a great kit man, I will be buying one of them soon and see if I make up my mind and attack one of these projects one of these days!!! Good luck.....
  8. In a hobby store??? I am getting jealous!!! Good to see this is moving forward guys, I am excited and I live miles away from you guys!!! Now let's see, 1,300 miles @ 3.69 a gallon w/ an 8 cylinder engine........
  9. Hey Kerc, try Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Maryland, he has a lot of stuff and the quality is out of this world. I am going to the meeting tomorrow, if Norm is there I will grab his latest catalog and send it to you. Just make sure to PM me your home address and I will get it out to you ok, that is if you don't already have one!!

    Ferrari 250 TR

Pretty unique color and different from the overused red one, nice and clean!!
  11. Looks good Kerc, I like the wheels, this kit lends itself too so many variations, I guess that's why it's a favorite among modellers!!!

    Audi R8

I love it Randy, wasn't thinking about getting one of these, you just changed my mind!!! Can't wait to see it at the meeting next to the pickup. By the way, I will not be competing at the next meeting. At least not against you!!!
  13. Thanks Jay, I used Chrysler engine blue from the Testors Lacquer system, had to airbrush it, they don't come in a spray can. What I did with the decal on top of the engine was cut it in phases similar to a pie, no way that thing is going on there without a little bit of cheating!!
  14. As you guys probably already know, I belong to 2 Clubs here in Maryland. Maryland Automotive Modellers Association and the Central PA. Model Car Club. For the M.A.M.A. Club, we meet in a recreational center and for the one in PA. we meet at a Fire Hall. For the M.A.M.A. club we don't have any fees, like my President (Lyle Willits) says, it will cost you more to quit than to join!! What we do is donate money to cover the room expenses. For the CPMCC Club, we have an annual fee of $20.00 Dollars which I think it is very cheap considering what we do with the money. Both Clubs are very well organized and I am very proud to say that I am a member of both. Kerc brings up a lot of good ideas, I say just make sure to consider him for President!! Anyway, as you guys get together and recruit more and more people it will be just a matter of time before you will be hosting an NNL in a few years!! One thing I love about our CPMCC Club is that we attend lots of real car shows and while doing so we set up our Club display and attract new members to the Club. I have been a member for about 5 years now and even though this Club has been around for a while (if I am not wrong, 20 years) I have seen it grow and the talent just keeps getting better and better. Just start it out probably in somebody's house if you guys find someone that has a bit of room and just take it from there. Good luck and if you have any questions just ask, I will be happy to help as much as I can!!! Good luck.....
