  1. nice Carl. love that song.
  2. correct and I digress, when I came here yesterday, I did not go back far enough to see the Aldo Nova remarks and I rehashed them, sorry about that.
  3. beautiful!! well said. I think that the media we are dealing with has a lot to do with it also. people can take written words very differently. if something is wrong with the build, the person who posted it should not get mad if someone corrects him. if you totally bash something because you don't like it, that's one thing, but if you give constructive ideas to help someone, they shouldn't take it negatively. not everyone builds a perfect model like me..... KIDDING!!
  4. beautiful.... just beautiful. well said. a lot has to do with the media we are dealing with too, people can take printed words very differently. I feel that if you post something here, expect some bad critism, not every model is perfect like mine.... kidding!! bashing something because you don't like it is one thing, giving constructive ideas are another.
  5. great answer Harry, never took it that far. maybe the way to say it is never "thought" that far.
  6. I don't think this was meant to be a rant on video games, I think this was a post to where model building is going in the future. I have embraced the computer age, I have a 5 year old computer at home and a 12 year old flip phone that I get calls on, no texting, no internet and I an doing just fine. if you want to go on the "computer age" we can do that, but I don't think this post is the place to do it. and I tell you that when my son plays online with his X-box or playstation, he is NOT ALLOWED to talk to anyone. only a select few because of the morons (not all, mind you) that are on. it swings both ways. a few idiots ruined what might have been a good thing, like your son is experiencing.
  7. all well and good, but I really don't like the way the future looks, so I will stay right here. don't need to move on. I bet you have a few "old" kits in your stash your hanging onto, Rob. and this by no means is a post "looking to stir things up", but the past is all around us and lots of people would like to preserve it. as I mentioned, old kits in our stash, muscle cars, record albums, old tube TV's and stereo equipment. historical building. can't get away from it. it was a much better time than now.
  8. why? I didn't see it a couple of months ago....
  9. very nice and cleanly build runner (my #1 car) beautifully done. what color is the engine bay/chassis? nice job!
  10. here is another one that I am not a fan of, but this song is really good. It's been two years since I let you go I couldn't listen to a joke or rock 'n' roll Muscle cars drove a truck right through my heart
  11. well my baby, don't want me around, said she's tired of watching me fall down this is one of their best songs, had this in one of my air guitar contests..... yea, that's right, AIR GUITAR!!!
  12. haha, this is NOT my type of music at all, but it's a hilarious song. here is the whole first verse. Have you ever met a girl that you tried to date But a year to make love she wanted you to wait Let me tell ya a story of my situation I was talkin' to this girl from the U.S. nation The way that I met her was on tour at a concert She had long hair and a short miniskirt I just got onstage drippin', pourin' with sweat I was walkin' through the crowd and gues who I met I whispered in her ear, "Come to the picture booth So I can ask you some questions to see if you are a hundred proof" I asked her her name, she said blah-blah-blah She had 9/10 pants and a very big bra I took a couple of flicks and she was enthused I said, "How do you like the show?" she said, "I was very amused" I started throwin' bass, she started throwin' back mid-range But when I sprung the question, she acted kind of strange Then when I asked, "Do ya have a man," she tried to pretend She said, "No I don't, I only have a friend" Come on, I'm not even goin' for it This is what I'm goin' sing just posting this, i'm laughing. I will be singing this stupid song all day now. don't even know how I thought of it.
  13. you got that right. I have it on a mixed CD first song. even has the weird noises at the beginning. he has credit for some Bon Jove stuff, blaze of glory, or whichever album that was on.
  14. correct. never saw that movie, but have you seen the video to the song..... I laugh my butt off every time I see it.
  15. great looking 55, really like the motor. it's kind of got an Eddie Van Halen feel to it with that paint job. very nice.
  16. ... or they will be building them on 3-D printers. still staring at a screen, watching a machine do most of the work. they will be very cool, accurate builds though.
  17. looks good, good choice of subject matter also. don't see too many firebirds.
  18. sad to say, my boys have very little hobbies unless it's tied to some sort of screen. tablets, phones, gaming systems, hard to compete with. there is no real failure, you loose, you play again. no risk. don't have to worry about glue blobs, bad paint, missing parts, just shut it off when your done.
  19. Water dissolving...and water removing There is water at the bottom of the ocean Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!
  20. life is just a fantasy - Aldo Nova
  21. glad to see you back on this one Paul. engine is looking nice. have a great day, Tubbs
  22. the taillights in the polar lights 65 coronet are small lights with the part that wraps over the body a dodge symbol. some of the sedans I am looking at, the light wraps up the body. I am sure this is a lesser model than the polar lights kit represents. my question is modelhaus offers parts for a 65 dodge. are these the wrap around ones or the smaller lights as in the PL kit? and, does anyone know if they will fit? I have heard the PL kit and the old annuals 65 kits are very different. has anyone ever tried to make a sedan (using the lindburg dodge) out of the PL dodge?
  23. dang, correct. I thought that one would have been up there for a while. should have done the second verse.
  24. you only get one line on this one..... The light in the window is a crack in the sky.
  25. Rage in the cage And piss upon the stage There's only one sure way To bring the giant down Defunct the strings Of cemetery things With one flat foot On the devil's wing
