Thank you sir! The blade is being made as we speak. I was confused as to the shape, blade or cylinder, until I spoke to a co worker who is retired Air Force. He confirmed the blade shape. G

I have been planning this build for years now all due to finding that "Strata Blue" color. I was looking for Floquil paint on eBay and saw this color. I googled the rail line and saw that the "CSX New Image Blue" was a dead ringer. G

Thank you all! Looking at this, reminded me I forgot this. Gotta have tunes while chasing U2's! G

I took this as inspiration. Bought this when I found it at a LHS in Antioch, Illinois. Put it all together and built this. Paint is a Floquil Rail Road color called "CSX New Image Blue". I think it matches the real deal fairly well. Interior is painted with Tamiya acrylics by airbrush, then details picked out with Vallejo acrylic. G

The interior is 99% finished at this time. I didn't have any thing in my spares box that replicated a radio correctly, so I made one. The mic will be carved from sprue mounted with a coiled wire cord. The body has been repainted and awaiting polishing.

Mustang production halts during the work week. Chassis is complete, interior 90% complete and the body needs a repaint. Seems there was just enough humidity here the day I sprayed the body to create what I see as an unacceptable finish. I'll post more tomorrow. G

I saw that. Makes sense, instant torque. This one's coming along, waiting more free time! G

I always heated the can in a pot of hot water. Not so hot as to blow the lid, but when you just see a bit of steam, you're good. G -

Wow, just wow. G -
Oh they've used GTO's, G-8's and Camaros since the Mustang. The Mustang is iconic for it's use in law enforcement and other specialized tasks. G

Rex, I have a Dave Panek Whelen Edge that is dead on for the pictured car. I contacted Dave on face Book and he hooked me up. I'll use the kit's mounting brackets. Al that is a priceless link, thank you sir! G

Thanks Eric! Good shots there. Here's some quickie photos of my progress. The body and wheels are painted an old Floquil Railroad color clad "CSX New Image Blue". I found it while searching Ebay for Floquil paint. The interior is three shades of Tamiya gray. Sky Gray for the majority of the interior, Sky Gray and a drop or two of Neutral Gray for the carpet, Medium Gray for the cloth panels in the seats. Those will get a light overspray of Sky Gray to tone down the brownish hue. More to come. G

We flew to Chicago in January for my mother-in laws funeral. The old girl lived with us in Las Vegas but wanted to be buried back home. We had to delay the burial three days as it was nearly impossible to dig. While up there we encountered two major snow storms and during the internment, it sleeted. Experiencing real winter again reaffirmed my decision to move away all those years ago. Then it snowed in Las Vegas...……………... G

Believe it or not, $35.00 from a vendor at Valley Con in Pasadena last Sunday. Jumped right on that as soon as I saw it.
