  4. This thread is a mindblower!! My dad played around with a couple of XD~XE's,even made one into a two door so the thought of one in resin has got me ,possibilties and such. Great work, always look forward to your updates
  5. Lookin good...real good!!
  6. Hello folks. This is what I'm hoping is my slumpbuster, i got to a point where i lost interest so much I boxed up all my supplies kits and unfinished builds...anyway, I bought my all time fave car and decided if this didn't break the slump nothin will!! Im tryin to build this as my ideal 57 Kustom and my idea of pulling that off is what id call a factory parts bin special. So far I've modded the grille to fit two 57Corvette grilles, 57 Buick inspired trim, the gauge pod and trim is designed with the 57 Olds in mind. Wheels are also from 57 Corvette...not sure yet what the color will be...thinkin maybe Cyan blue and a heavy metal flake silver roof. Ideas..comments ...criticisms welcome. Enjoy
  7. Very cool
  8. Lindberg huh?...I've bought a couple of their kits and been pretty unimpressed with them, this one looks like they've got it right though.
  9. Very nice! What kit is this?
  10. Nice ol' Chevy, love the colour.
  11. Projects like this one are definitely worth the time anf research in the end. The H61 Mack I scratchbuilt took me nearly two years on and off to finish, I had collected heaps of pics and even contacted the Mack museum who sent me out a gold mine of brochures and spec sheets which meant I could build the truck as close as possible to the real thing....I also did the same for my W71 I'm building....but I've lost interest in building lately and tucked them all away until I get the bug. again. Builds like yours definitely keep me interested and I hope we all get to see this get completed.
  12. This is gonna be really cool. Id been wanting to build this exact truck for a few years but could never figure out where to start because of the extreme shapes involved...Ill be watching your progress on this one for sure.
  13. Looking good.
  14. so....what colour is it gonna be?
  15. Geez........you work so fast Kenn.!! The engine detail is great...well the whole car is to be honest. I've only just looked in on this thread and i gotta say your builds just keep on getting better. Thanks for sharing. PS....any progress on the Buick you started?
  16. that's the second time I've seen this truck today...can't remember where i saw it earlier but there was different angles....what a monster!!!
  17. Awesome build! You've definitely nailed the period. look with it.
  18. Niiiiiiicccceeee....
  19. Man,that's a beauty.Thanks for the pics. Is it a diecast,what scale is it?
  20. That is beautiful, great work on this one.
  21. Nice collection!! Any chance of giving that Buick in the foreground its own photo shoot?
  22. Ill be watching this one for sure, I spent a few hours last night reading up about Johan kits so this one has me very interested. Looking good so far.
  23. Here's my only build of this kit. I decided after opening the box there was very little I liked about the kit so I decided a kustom was the way to go for me. The mods speak for themselves so I won't go into it unless anyone has any questions. As unimpressed as i was with the kit I would buy another one.
