  1. Sound just like New Zealands public health system too Peter. Best wishes for your wife's recovery. Not a decal job I would even fantasize about attempting but you pulled it off beautifully as usual. On the other note, yes the recent "upgrade" has sure made posting fun (sarcasm inserted there), But cant wait to see the finished product as your builds are always great to check out.
  2. Thanks guys, todays the first day I've been able to use my hands(for anything but typing) since my last post. Death, upon or in this case in his pale stead (apparently an off whitish green colour) wasn't feeling it in an Oldsmobile (cant say I blame him really). So what to do?????????? Had this one started a couple of years ago when it got shelved, not sure if he's feeling this one either, front's been stretched as has the back, tops been chopped enough but not to make it to obvious, motor will end up sitting a little higher
  3. That car looks pretty good everywhere But on that box art pic.
  4. looking good bro
  5. good diversity with your subjects, not all are to my taste but I really like your amt 49, Also got to ask what brand/shade of pink is on that impala?
  6. That orta look great hope you can pull it off
  7. This sits just so right. perfection in a small package. Stellar work as always Tyrone
  8. Thanks guys, finished (well almost) WAR, just got to do the throttle linkages wasn't going to but it looks kind of unfinished without them
  9. Thanks Richard, was just thinking the sides look kinda nekked ,so really just some decals and finish up the headlights etc
  10. You want to put the body on there why ???????????? . Thats got to be one of the nicest looking jobs I've seen on any kit of that era, great work !! Hope whichever decals you use hold up for you. Just been going through that issue with 90's era Revell decals.
  11. Got this kit "pre painted" from a club member who was getting out of the car side of the hobby. Built it box stock, have to do the headlights at some stage but kinda doesnt feel right changing too much around at the moment, so keeping it as an "independent" owner driver for now
  12. Man theres a few cool builds popping up in here that I dont remember seeing elsewhere. Heres a couple shots of my Jungle Jim Vega
  13. use the control and v buttons for the paste function might be a pita but it works
  14. nice build Joe !!
  15. looking good !!
  16. congrats to you both
  17. John, your best bet for a first try is to build one of the top sportsman kits,They are adaptable to lots of other cars with very little effort and are a great way to "get your feet wet" easy enough to add some detail too and only require a little modification to the front cover (engine) to change to a blower setup if thats how you want to go. Both Tyrone and myself have used thes kit as the basis for quite a few of our builds and once you are familiar with them you'll be modifying them yourself pretty quickly.
  18. most excellent work my friend
  19. Great job Thor, that's come out great, the subtle weathering on the chassis/floor is perfect
  20. Congrats from me and mine too Darin
  21. John, whilst I am not really "into" these sorts of cars at all, the execution with which you deliver them could just about change my mind. The superlatives people bestow upon them are not only well deserved, they may have well been invented with your builds in mind. In short Fantastic work man, it is indeed a privilege to have you share your builds with us. Brett
  22. And a couple more fuunies that are a few years old need to put the spill plates back on ( BM was the 1st one I tried to detail hence the plug wires are a little large)
  23. Thanks Shane ,I try . Bernard ,I'm honored to be included in that lineup, thank you. Couple of the more recent doorslammers and a couple older prostalgia funny cars both Flintstone bodies on late model Revell chassis
